  1. Don’t think we’ll hit 50+ against anyone anytime soon, not at least until Rew gets to grips with tracks here. We’ve won both meetings so far 48-42 and that score looks about right either in victory, or defeat. The bottom three have scored 7 and 10 between them in the two meetings and will be the obvious area other teams will target. On the flip side, a top end of Doyle Emil King and Riss will score enough between them even in away meetings to not get on the end of a hiding. I’ll go for another 48-42!
  2. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-belle-vue-premiership-r1-h/ R/R for Riss, not sure where though. The line ups have R/R at 2 which is the traditional place to have it, although in the story it says R/R will be utilized at number 4.
  3. Fairy Nuff didn’t see yesterdays update. That would make Peterborough a different proposition altogether. Think we’ve stolen an advantage over others here getting the win before the changes, because nobody else will be winning at the Showground. Tungate maybe ropey on some away tracks, but he’s very good around Peterborough. Louis will be delighted, the loan fee will help pay some of Emil’s wages
  4. I know, Lindgren 9.29 Tungate 6.61 Basso 6.81 Andersen 4.93 Iversen 7.59 Cook 4.06 Total: 39.29. Doesn’t fit.
  5. Doesn’t fit does it? Lindgren’s last GSA was 9.29 in 2017, Tungate is 6.61. That would make Peterborough’s re declaration 39.29 for the six
  6. Riss missing for Redcar today through illness so that will explain his performance last night.
  7. Perhaps he is more than justified? Always more than meets the eye in decisions that are made like this.
  8. Mate you’re way off here. Buster has bailed you out more than once in recent years, and even built you a title winning side the year before last. The disrespect he gets on here from some of you Panthers fans is staggering. Be careful what you wish for springs to mind here.
  9. We won on both visits there last year. But I agree, winning there is not for everybody
  10. Yeah you definitely can. Just because of the quirk of averages has him lower than a few, he’s definitely one of Lynn’s top 3. Palm toft averaged 6.05 over last season, Pickering 6.82. Current GSA’s don’t give a true reflection of status in the team, just like Jakobsen isn’t a reserve either.
  11. Woeful from the top 3 of Klindt, KK and Pickering so far.
  12. Spot on. Iversen was interviewed before the meeting and said they’d be practicing that afternoon, nobody obviously saw a problem then.
  13. That’s been his average for the last few years, that’s why I thought he looked a poor signing purely because his average over 6 looks a little expensive. He’s not a bad rider by any means, and he may well hold that 6 point average if he’s kept on. He’ll have a few tracks where he’ll gate and do ok on.
  14. Correct. You could have a darts match between two pub players who were evenly matched and have a good tight contest but only averaging 60-70 and you wouldn’t fill one table at the ally pally. Roll out the Van Gerwen’s and Gerwyn Price’s averaging ton plus and you’re packing the place out. Speedway isn’t as popular as darts though obviously but it’s the same principle albeit on a smaller scale.
  15. I can see where you’re coming from, I’d have fancied Emil and Doyle as well but Pedersen is obviously capable so we’ll never really know. We won by 6 in the end so even with Pedersen it would have been tight either way so a good opening away performance from the Witches. Yes a good couple of wins for Hans is a positive for Peterborough. Bit disappointing from Iversen though. Six rides and didn’t take one Chequered flag although did team with Andersen for a 5-1. They’re going to need more from him. Basso is a good rider and is strong at home, but you can’t rely on him scoring 13+ at home most meetings. Don’t think he’s that level at least not yet.
  16. That’s going to happen though because of the reserves. Especially away from home. As Blu says, because of our top end strength we won’t (or shouldn’t), get battered anywhere. But on the flip side, we won’t hand out many (if any) batterings either because most teams reserves will outscore ours most of the time. I think the majority of our meetings will be tight affairs with a few superheats thrown in, which we’ll then be favourites for because of the heatleaders.
  17. He already was when Carpman hinted that Emil might be a Panther rather than a Witch this season and got him all excited.
  18. Come on mate you’re sounding a bit bitter here. It’s never easy to win away from home regardless of the circumstances and I get you’re disappointed.Your lot were there practicing today so the advantages are obvious. Rew has never seen the place but after taking a few rides to size the place up, beats Basso from the back. Lots of positives to take there from an Ipswich perspective.
  19. To be fair, after heat 1 his rider replacement rides were only beaten by Doyle and Sayfutdinov which may well have happened anyway. We’ll never know of course. Either way it would have been last heat decider I think. Teams are going to have to have a healthy lead going in to heat 13 to take the points that’s for sure.
  20. King has started this season like he did the season before last when he finished just shy of an 8 point average. If he gets back to that then the spearhead is as potent as they come. Riss and Rew chipping in too and it’ll matter little what the reserves do.
