  1. Cracking is a bit of a stretch Pinny (not sure if he has for Redcar?) but he’s done ok in a few meetings without ever looking like his old self. His biggest asset has always been his gating and that has remained sharp. It’s after the first bend when the problems start. Sometimes he’s managed to pin it tight to the white line and hang on for points here and there but more often than not he’s looked slow and been easily passed far too often. Nowhere near the rider we’ve seen in previous seasons. No idea if it’s been the same at Redcar only their fans can tell you that.
  2. When it really mattered, they delivered. Just shows why they’re first and second in the averages. Class. Why?
  3. Was it? Wasn’t obvious to me either but hey ho who cares if he’s watching or not.
  4. Agree again. Rew will be pivotal here and should get his full quota of rides if needs be. We definitely seem to have stepped up a gear with him down there scoring good points to go with the scoring power of the top two. It’s a potent combination.
  5. Agree I think Belle Vue will need one of the top two to have an off day and score like Bewely last week.
  6. Agree we need to frustrate them early. Could do with Emil winning the first heat and then ideally Rew winning the reserves heat even if both heats end up shared. If they open with a couple of heat advantages then that could open the floodgates. They can be like a runaway train around there.
  7. Absolutely. We saw what happened the other week at the showground that squeezed us in to the play offs in the first place. We need Doyle, but a FIT Doyle to see us through. I know for a fact the bloke can still hardly walk, so it’s touch and go. Any slight doubt, then we have to go with Harris.
  8. He’s never been good at Foxhall. Had a couple of okay meetings, but by his standards always looked second rate. You can Chuck him in with Pickering who are much better than they show here at Ipswich.
  9. It pi$$ed down all night long, and rained again just before tapes up. Don’t be salty Rob, you’re more than capable of pulling this back at your gaff.
  10. Interesting as it was definitely Joe Thompson down to ride yesterday. They want Jack for Belle Vue Monday, so is there yet another rule hidden somewhere that we have to use the same rising star for both meetings??
  11. Very true. Things were pretty basic back in the day and there wasn’t much choice in anything really.
  12. It wasn’t speedy, they posted that tweet on the Friday, showing the pictures of the track on the afternoon of race day a few hours before the meeting. Still don’t know how they got that meeting on! And unless my memory is playing tricks, the track rode superbly that evening.
  13. The single best gater I’ve ever seen!
  14. He did have a disappointing season with us, but to be honest since then he’s been a thorn in our side and ridden Foxhall superbly! This season 12+2 dropping one point to Doyle from his completed rides, last season when he visited three times with Peterborough, he scored 11+1, 14+1 and 14+1 again. Pretty impressive!
  15. https://x.com/rhr_211/status/1703865461878772214?s=61&t=WGGG_bqEEeOH78cfmD9Reg well there we have it. Huge blow that.
  16. You’d hope so yes, but the problem is that the current owner would have to give that signal to the BSPL of their intention to run and to hold fire, and he’s the one currently saying it’s over.
