  1. That’s more to do with Bank Holidays not being a work day, rather than a non School day.

  3. That second team would clean up. Looks far superior. Just shows how strong a team can look all the way down when not retaining the top two.
  4. Lovely words from him. You could tell how much he was enjoying it here every week. At no point throughout the season did you ever feel he wasn’t enjoying it or didn’t really want to be here like you get with so many others.
  5. This is my point. You’ve got a current reserve and a current Rising Star in the main body of the side. That side wouldn’t even make the play offs.
  6. I’m not dead against it, I’ve watched them all year and they’re box office I just don’t think it’s the smartest thing to do if we want to go one better next year. If we did go for them both, we’re gonna need a couple of major Rabbits pulled from CL’s hat. think there could well be a few extra quality riders coming in. Pawlicki has already said he wants in, Janowski and Dudek have already toyed with the idea whilst they were IN the Gp’s, now they might just bite the bullet. All would be on good averages compared to our two. You could see some very strong looking teams next year. Sometimes you have to overrule your heart and go with your head.
  7. As an Ipswich supporter I think we’d be mad as well to be honest. It’s ok when Emil is on an 8.00 but over 10? At the start of the year the top two had a combined average of 18.32, they now sit on 19.22 between them, almost a point more. I can’t be the only one that feared a 5-1 or 4-2 in every heat on Thursday that didn’t involve Doyle or Emil? As much as it pains me to say it, but for me it has to be one or the other and then build with a bit more strength in the middle order and reserve. I’ll use Musielak just as an example as I’m sure he’ll be back at Sheffield, but you could go Doyle and Musielak up top for a combined average of 17.81 which would give you nearly a point and a half more than the current top two to fit in a stronger number 6. That kinda makes sense to me as hard as it would be to see Emil (or Doyle) ride for someone else! You could now possibly see Dudek come in to British Speedway. Not as good as Emil no, but on an 8.00 as apposed to 10.10 and as daft as it sounds, he’d arguably be the better signing. All about increasing your averages, Dudek would surely increase an 8.00, would Emil increase 10.10?
  8. Why have you just ignored what he’s just put and instead carried on with your narrative? Orion READ what people actually write ffs. Everyone knows he joined Kings Lynn they’re not stupid but Kings Lynn are irrelevant here. The point is he made those comments whilst wearing a Guy Nicholls sponsored race jacket.
  9. Hypothetical, IF Witches had their chosen Rising Star, or even their replacement Rising star, or IF Riss hadn’t spent all year with a debilitating illness that he’s still struggling with, we’d have made the final even more comfortably. Ifs buts and maybes b0llocks. Stop trying to make excuses for a team that fails, and discredits the team that succeeds.
  10. The salty comments are already out in force and they’ve not even lost it yet! Stay classy.
  11. Way to go to pi$$ off the bloke who pours ridiculous amounts of cash in to the sport, including the club this idiot currently rides for! The worst part for me of what he said, was admitting on live TV that he’s basically tried to influence the referee’s decisions in Sheffields favour on Thursday. Not the sharpest tool in the box is he.
  12. I don’t understand what’s going on with this Doyle stuff. Yes had a first bend fall in his first ride, but showed no ill affects and breezed through his five rides without remotely looking like dropping a point. Then was all smiles in his interview afterwards and looking forward to the return to finish the job on Thursday. Then all of a sudden leaks suggest he’s off to hospital in an ambulance and doubtful for Thursday? All seems a bit strange to me. I know sometimes when the adrenaline drops you can get a delayed reaction to something but still, it all seems a bit weird. IF he’s out, it’s R/R for me. If it costs us the title so be it.
  13. Do they? Are you sure you’re not getting confused with Peterborough supporters?
  14. “I’m really happy with the result, it was a really tough battle. We managed to come through it and get a decent lead, so I’m delighted with all seven of them on a tricky track tonight due to the weather we had last night. I’m delighted with the boys, and it is a good lead, but we know Sheffield are going to come strong on Thursday. “It was a brilliant performance from our three heat leaders, they won a lot of races. Heat 13 and 15 were crucial 5-1s, that is eight points up in two heats and they could easily have been shared heats. They have been superb all season and we have talked a lot about it, you can’t put into words the job they have done, and they have come up trumps again and what a pleasure they have been to work with. “It was tough out there tonight, 13 out of the 14 riders attacked the track and battled hard. It felt like a battle, and it wasn’t enjoyable conditions for anyone to ride in, but it couldn’t be helped. The weather played its part which it does at this time of year, and it was a proper final with two teams battling their hardest. I’m sure it will be the same on Thursday. “We had concerns having to move it to a Tuesday and clashing with the football team who are doing great this season but wow, you came out in force again. I spoke to everyone on the mic to re-iterate again, thank you for all of the support, you have made the world of difference to get us in the position we are in. We have come from the brink, and we now have a great opportunity to make this a legendary season.” Hawkins concedes the track was difficult and holds his hands up but people are going overboard in their criticism here. Most of the comments on here are from people who don’t live in Ipswich and didn’t see the rain we had Monday evening and then again Tuesday morning. No summer sunshine or heat yesterday to dry the track out either. Similar to last week for the Belle Vue semi, it literally pi$$ed it down at 7.30 just before the parade!
  15. It’s not like that every week though as Doyle alluded to during the meeting. It’s usually very smooth and has been nearly all season but conditions were tricky a few weeks ago in the cup final against Sheffield, and you have to wonder whether that played a part in the track prep this evening? They knew after Holder’s hissy fit about the track a few weeks ago, that they could probably take him out of the game by preparing it exactly the same again. IF that was the plan, it’s worked because it’s practically the same result.
  16. Oh come on it wasn’t just the two mate was it? Hume was the only Ipswich rider who struggled with it but he does most weeks. None of the other Ipswich boys struggled to get around.
  17. The biggest joke is him showing no desire to ride Speedway in his home country and then just pop over for the play offs every year! The bellend.
  18. You can’t be getting beat at home by the rising star really. He’s been a problem all year as we all know, we’ve got away with it up til now but it could come back to bite us on the ar$e in the end.
  19. Hume has balls big enough to come in a dump truck, but unfortunately he doesn’t have the skill or talent to go full throttle in to the bends. He needs to learn when to knock off the throttle a tad and calm down a bit.
