  1. Doyle has made Foxhall his fortress. He drops very few points here and when he does, you can see his anger at dropping those points. Think he had the best home average comfortably in the league last year. He’ll again hit many home maximums.
  2. Leicester for me too. Really like the way they’ve built the side. They won’t be carrying any rider and every member of the team is capable of contributing decent points which collectively will tot up 45+ more often than not.
  3. He could end up being right but I think that would be more luck than judgement. Things can go wrong very quickly in this sport as we know so predicting anything pre-season is almost impossible. It’s a bit of fun and all we can do is predict by looking at the strengths and weaknesses of teams on paper. Mind you I’m not quite sure where Col got his paper from
  4. I think things would have to go seriously wrong injury wise to see us as low as second bottom. We’ll see though. Dragging a bit now ain’t it?
  5. Allen wasn’t announced as a “temporary” signing at the time was he. You then had the grey area of the “rule” that no changes could be made after the season started which opened up a huge can of worms as I’m sure you know. Ipswich also made a change after Heeps started the season appallingly during the same timeframe that lead some to think the “rules” meant no changes permitted before LEAGUE fixtures had started. Plenty weren’t convinced and as usual, there was a lack of transparency to the rule. Anyway you asked for an example and I’ve given you one. Time will tell if Belle Vue make changes IF they don’t start too well. I think they will but I personally hope they don’t because I don’t see this team being a title threat.
  6. Zagar the season before last when they went on to win it? Controversially if I remember at the time.
  7. Well that certainly hasn’t been evidenced in his time at Ipswich so far, in fact he hasn’t looked remotely unstable. Slow out of the gate yes, but not erratic or error strewn.
  8. Are those that can’t “like” using an Android device? Works fine for me on iPad and iPhone.
  9. These are the kind that every supporter loves. Theres no doubt the Poole supporters would have been happier and more intrigued, by signing a teenager that nobody else in the other big leagues has yet picked up, rather than a near 30 year old with no pedigree whatsoever. You hope the promotion does their homework and the kid has something about them that they can nurture and see improve at their club. They might never amount to anything sure, most probably don’t, but they may blossom in to something very very good. It’s more exciting finding out than pretty much knowing what you’re going to get from this latest recruit.
  10. Foreverblue May have had a good point y’know. Brennan is a decent rider, but I’m not sure he was worth altering plans for.

  12. You’re right it is. Fair play to Poole for those prices.
  13. Agree. They definitely need to look in to better pricing tiers for different age ranges rather than all or nothing (or practically nothing). The argument against is probably policing that at the turnstiles.
  14. Just had a look at other clubs and Wolves to me seem to have pitched it perfectly previously. Under 7 free, 7-12 £1 and 13-18 £6. That eliminates the issue of groups of teens walking in for free, under 7’s no charge as they’re not going to be attending without a paying adult, and a token quid for the 7-12’s. Sensible pricing.
  15. Agree here to be honest. That’s the best way of doing it. The club get the attendance fee of the adult whilst the child is being introduced to the sport for free. Aries is correct, it is wrong that a group of teens can just walk in for free. At Ipswich it always used to be kids free with a paying adult, but for whatever reason, that changed to simply kids under 16 go free. End of the day it is still only a quid so hardly worth arguing over. Can’t even get a freddo for that these days.
  16. £250 last year, £260 this year, but admission has risen to £23 from £22 so it means a saving of an extra 3 quid on the 13 meeting season ticket as apposed to last year. Overall a saving of £39 if you attend all 13 fixtures, or 20 quid a meeting.
  17. Ours are better changes no doubt about it, but I wouldn’t read too much in to that in regards to next year. Let’s not forget Belle Vue were comfortably better than Ipswich this year, the table doesn’t lie. Results over a 2 legged semi like we saw can happen in one off (or two off if that’s a saying ) meetings.
