A little foolish in your opinion, my opinion is clearly the opposite to yours. He wouldn't get anywhere near a team spot for me on that figure. As stated above, Tungate doesn't strike me as number 1 material, which he would be on that figure. My judgement may also be clouded somewhat by his incredible comments in the local press earlier in the season. I'm staggered how little was made of those comments especially by some of the supporters on here who actually came on and backed him. When you have supporters such as Baldyman, who travel up and down the country supporting their team, spending a chunk of their hard earned money in the process, I find it totally unacceptable to hear a rider you're supporting come out in the press stating they've not been making an effort in meetings and lack motivation. Lack motivation!!? He's been involved in the sport for 3 years, if he's lacking drive and motivation already then he's clearly in the wrong job and will never make it to the top with that attitude. Hopefully Chris Louis will leave him out of his plans for next season. Tungate can do one as far as I'm concerned.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest where Tungate is concerned. Earlier in the season he actually admitted (stupidly) that he turns up to some away meetings with a half ar$ed attitude and struggles for motivation. I was very surprised to see the latest greensheets have Tungate's average now above the 8 point mark, I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole next year on that figure.

Crikey both of those look a snip on those averages and I'd imagine both will be hot property this winter.

Panthers V Witches 19/8/14

Should be now. A win against Workington on Thursday would be a great week with a 10 point haul in 3 meetings. Could then afford to relax at Somerset on Friday. -

Crikey you're right that would be a fantastic team. Amazing how well we've actually done this season when you look at the stats! We are currently 40.82 well under the limit, only Glasgow in the whole league have a lower current team total. Somerset and Edinburgh on the other hand, are 47.16 and 46.87 respectively and will have to rip their teams apart. We could keep our current 1-7, or even better, exchange Worrall for Danny King and keep the other 6. -
I wouldn't rule him out leading the Witches either..

Hope it's Craig Cook! OK it would suck a bit seeing another number 1 turning utter pants, but at least we could console ourselves that it was Craig Cook -

Gee thanks Well done lads, puts us in a good position for a play off spot. All apart from Worrall played a part, but special mention to Risager who is having a fine season. -

I agree TBH and I know plenty who share that view. CL is the promoter and it's his call obviously, but that decision is now costing him money as the attendances for the last few meetings have been shocking. -

Not sure it's good for Ellis' development to be riding regularly for a track (Lakeside) he hates? Maybe there's a deal to be done there to bring him to Foxhall full time as an asset. -

Well clearly not in Rohan Tungate's case and he rather foolishly admitted it!! -

That has definitely hurt us this year, the fact we could only use a NL guest for him. Louis mentioned a month or so back that he didn't regret signing Ellis, but for me it was a mistake. The amount of meetings he's missed already for us is ridiculous. Not the lads fault obviously, but you have to question the wisdom of signing a rider you KNOW will miss several meetings. All very well saying if we get to the play offs he'll be available, but we have to get there first! -

Tweet from Mike Bacon of the Ipswich Star today @Mike_Bacon: 'Why do they think there's any pressure on us?' Back Page @ipswichstar24 paper today Louis hits back at @casesrebels @ipswichspeedway Anyone have the paper today and know what that's all about? -
Whenever Ipswich run on an off night, it hits the attendance quite badly here unless it's a Saturday. The other week we rode Redcar at Foxhall on the Wednesday and the attendance was really poor. Yes a visiting team missing one or two key riders may affect the attendance too, but probably not as much IMO. We're missing Worrall and Ellis on Friday, couldn't the Somerset promotion have re-arranged this to another day so we could have our full line up? The truth is, this season has been a farce in BOTH leagues with riders missing here there and everywhere. It must be nigh on impossible to try and arrange a fixture list to enable all meeting to go ahead without missing riders. Just got to put up with it I'm afraid.

Belle Vue V Lakeside 9/6/14
Arch Stanton replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Nicholls wasn't looking left or right, he was looking at the tapes directly in front of him. So it is possible he saw PK out of the corner of his eye, and PK did move. -
What a load of old tosh!! If he's called it off the fans getting value for money wouldn't have been the first thing that went through his mind don't kid yourself. As for "Well done Rob, what a pity other clubs don't give their fans the same consideration", as you've posted that on the Ipswich Vs Somerset thread, surely you're not implying that the Ipswich promotion should have postponed this meeting because Somerset were turning up without one of their riders??

Rye House V Ipswich Sat 31st May
Arch Stanton replied to DragonsDen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Risager has been Ipswich' most consistent rider so far this season, was again consistent in this fixture, scoring 9+1 in his 4 programmed rides, and STILL the lad gets pelters from some of his own teams supporters. Unbelievable. For the record, Worrall and Risager were my two for heat 15 too. -

Arch Stanton replied to DragonsDen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Very true Shadders and you're not alone either, very few stadia are up to scratch these days unfortunately. Foxhall was looking tired and hardly state of the art before having a load of money spent on it recently. Not everyone has that sort of cash for improvements I've heard this before, but I don't really get it. When the blert Aljack was around maybe, but apart from him I don't see it. Maybe I've just not paid enough attention.. -

Possibly also there's little contribution on here from the Rye faithful? Perhaps the likes of westhamboy and rocketBen and the sort that will only come on if their team wins.. -

As been said Rye isn't a happy hunting ground for us so very pleased with that! Looks like a great performance from Captain Hawkins he will have enjoyed that I'm sure! Good to see Gino chipping in with a good solid away performance too. Hope Ellis is ok.
