  1. Jordan Jenkins will be the best 2 pointer next year..
  2. Impossible to call for me, toss of a coin. Don't think either side can feel confident.
  3. Christ on a bike people will have a whinge at anything these days. Ipswich have advertised the start of meetings at 7.30 since 1950 ffs. Quite right too. If it was advertised at 7.45 and you went for the first time and got in at 7.43, only to be told by the regulars you've missed the parade and introduction of the riders on show would you be happy? In 35 years of attending, I've never seen or heard anyone kick up a fuss because they were told it was a 7.30 start and have had to wait 15 minutes for the first race!
  4. I agree. Fozz comes across as a cracking bloke and does an awful lot in attempting to promote Ipswich Speedway so credit for that. But I'm afraid he doesn't make a good presenter IMO.
  5. Has Mr Long given up presenting duties? Not on the mic again on Thursday and I see on twitter that he's the new manager of a pub, that opens Thursday to Sunday's.. Big loss if he has.
  6. This isn't the first time you've come out with this utter horse sh!te. He wasn't "over riding" at all, he was being Cameron Heeps. To him he doesn't "settle" for anything. He never gives up and battles for every point no matter what the meeting situation is. Thank god for riders like him because we have enough boring white line riders that do plenty of "settling" these days as it is! We have another racer in Nico Covatti who puts bums on seats. Another rider who never gives up and battles for every point. Unfortunately he too is out with injury just like Heeps currently is. These types of riders will unfortunately suffer more than most but it's these types of riders that is keeping the sport just about alive in this Country.
  7. We do indeed Badge. He's been riding himself in to good form the last month or two despite still carrying a few knocks so fingers crossed he recovers sharpish.
  8. The track early doors was tricky and didn't provide any entertainment whatsoever. Thankfully the issues were ironed out and we've seen some good racing over the last few months. Expect we'll see some good battles between King and Harris.
  9. https://youtu.be/7kZB-dlr3V0 Good battle between Heeps and Proctor in heat 12.
  10. Rathbone is severely taking this p!ss here out of the Peterborough supporters, and speedway supporters in general.
  11. He does indeed. After an understandably slow start to the season he's been on an upward curve for a while now. Great to see. Greaves too has been a breath of fresh air and has admirably covered the huge blow of losing Hume early doors. We still have a problem area in the team which is like a big black cloud hanging over our chances of silverware but the rest are doing us proud. Gotta say such a shame to see Sarg struggling so badly and I'm surprised too. He was very good for us last season I thought in a difficult number 2 position. Scored a shed load of bonus points for us and was an excellent partner for King. Hard to fathom why he's struggled so badly.
  12. Well if any doubts remained that has surely put them to bed. Great result and looking forward to the play offs.
  13. What a crock of sh!te. He's been dropped by more clubs than I've had hot dinners this year. In fact, if anything he's damn lucky and should be thanking his lucky stars that the Ipswich promotion are crap at maths! All of this feeling sorry for him is getting right on my t!ts. Sympathy from fans of other clubs I might add!!
  14. Nobody is talking about the downfall of the Ipswich Witches though??
  15. No Sedgmen at Scunny tomorrow so R/R. Suffering from "shoulder problems"..
  16. Not getting my money today either they can stuff it. Don't care if it makes Peterborough stronger or weaker, I was looking forward to watching him and very much wanted him in the Panthers line up.
  17. LOL never seen such a big bunch of fannies get over it! Louis has made one error, and that was to not wait for official confirmation from the BSPA before telling the riders. That is a huge error that Louis will know himself. He's been a promoter now for a good few years and this is the first error of this kind I can recall him making. He's entitled to an error or two surely? Has nobody on here ever made an error in their lives or are you all perfect? He's not the only promoter either, good old Ged has made his fair share too! Everyone makes them that's life. All of this "bang out of order sacking riders close to deadline" stuff is pure and utter sh!te. Is it harsh for a rider to lose his job with little time to find another club? Of course it is. But Louis' job is to do what's best for Ipswich Witches, NOT Justin Sedgmen or Connor Mountain as harsh as it may be. If he could have improved the team and chances of being successful then he had every right to try. Give me that type of promoter every single time than those that are loyal to individual riders to the detriment of the team. Ironically this has been an accusation made by many on here over the years that we rarely make changes and just stick with what we've got. Fair play to Louis for trying to be successful and attempting to improve what we had. As I've said he made a grave error not waiting for approval before telling the two riders but I'm sure that won't be repeated and he'll have learned from his mistake.
  18. "Social media sports fans are sooooo brutal. I love it. Its a whole new world of whacky entertainment! CRAZeeeeeeeeeeeee! Well Chris has finally pipped up on Twitter. LOL
  19. Is Mike Smillie still there? There isn't a single thing that bloke doesn't know about stats and the rule book and I know that everything Ipswich do goes through him before any plans are submitted. There is simply no way that Mike would have made this mistake. My only guess is that he somehow was not involved in this debacle and the results are quite frankly embarrassing.
  20. No idea Rob but I'd be surprised to say the least if either of Tungate or Jacobs wore Witches colours anytime soon. the timing of Carl Wilkinsons tweet this evening seems too much of a coincidence for me so maybe he was one of the targeted riders.. Surprised that Connor was being released though. After an expected slow start he's began to ride well at reserve but as Bash says I guess he was just going to be victim of the numbers game. Gotta agree with the comments above though why on earth tell riders they're dropped before getting the thumbs up from the BSPA? Absolutely bizarre.
  21. Wouldnt have been either of those two I'd put my house on it.
  22. Think the defeat against your lot was probably the straw that broke the camels back here.
