  1. Still 15 isn’t he? Has some future if he continues to work hard and stay safe. Local lad and a Witches supporter, Chris Louis needs to be careful he doesn’t slip through the net. Put a contract under his nose as soon as he turns 16.
  2. Met Wayne in the Cricketers pub Thursday afternoon and had a brief chat. Came across as a cracking fella.
  3. Wouldn’t take anything for granted at the moment! Newcastle pulled off a terrific away win at Berwick last night. I wouldn’t take any chances at all and book the best guest possible for Nico. I get the idea of going R/R to give the others badly needed extra rides, but that’s risky the way we’re currently riding. We simply have to win on Thursday, no other result will be acceptable.
  4. Yup certainly looks like it! Now let’s see what they can do..
  5. Well that didn’t go according to plan! Pretty shocked at that result but fair play to Peterborough they were simply the better side on the night. Palm Toft and Ostergaard were excellent.
  6. Knew it would be on as soon as I saw the track in good nick from Taps’ crystal clear 4K photo yesterday
  7. Not a drop of the wet stuff forecast today so all systems go finally.
  8. Wasn’t going to mention the track pic as I appreciated your efforts, but it did make me a little dizzy looking at it
  9. Kevin Long on the Mic tomorrow as Wayne Bavin is “unavailable”.
  10. I bet Kevin Long is a bit peeved! For years he’s been battling away with an ever degrading sound system and campaigning for improvements, and the very second he’s forced to give up presenting duties due to other work commitments, we install a brand new sound system!
  11. Been a mild day today with my car temperature showing 17 degrees. Even better it’s been windy too so that will have helped no end.
  12. A pleasant dry day with improving temperatures in the mid teens forecast for Thursday, but more showers expected throughout tomorrow. You have to wonder whether a full dry day on Thursday will be enough to dry out the track enough to prepare a meeting because the amount of rain that’s fell over the last handful of days has been ridiculous.
  13. Saw that and had a chuckle I must admit. Obviously everyone has an opinion and even though you wont agree with some of these predictions, you can nearly always make a case for most of them. But now and again you’ll come across one or two that look absolutely miles off. Another has us 6th ( I very much doubt we’ll finish that low but fair enough, perhaps he’ll be correct..), but strangely had Workington in first place. If Worky finish first I’ll gladly buy everyone on here their season ticket for 2019
  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646057 at the moment BCD the forecast is for more wet stuff right up until Thursday. That’s a hell of a lot of water the track will have taken considering the amount it’s already taken recently. The temperatures are on the rise it looks like though so hopefully that will help dry things out on Thursday if that forecast is accurate.
  15. Indeed. Also heartening from a Witches perspective that whilst others are lauding their number one’s for finishing in the losing positions, our number TWO is winning the meeting
  16. Ok I’ll do it, well done to the actual winner of the meeting Rory Schlein.
  17. Should be targeting a win here. Lakeside have picked up a point so we must be looking for 3. Can’t see us getting anything at Lakeside so if we’re going to win the group, we need a point minimum. Agree with Taps though, even though I believe we’re a much better side, never confident of anything at the Showground. Such a difficult place to go and very home friendly.
  18. Well I’ve told the kids not to worry because I’ve come up with a plan B. Byron burger and then Cinema to watch Duck Duck Goose. I shouldn’t have mentioned it to them though cos they’ve now joined in with Taps’ “Chief pi$$ing down” rain dance
  19. Well I’ve finally found a good one after a thorough search that predicts dry days for Thursday and Friday.. https://m.accuweather.com/en/gb/ipswich/ip4-2/weather-forecast/330938 im going to ignore the more reliable Met Office and BBC forecasts and whole heartedly believe this one instead
  20. A bit ropey admittedly but it’s still a few days away and the forecasts change on a daily basis so fingers crossed.
