Wonder if they’ve felt a bit pressured in to naming a couple of riders that they consider would be in the team no matter what, and that the team still isn’t completely sorted? Its not been the Chris Louis way to drip feed the signings. Once the seven are signed they’re normally announced. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the two named as King and Heeps. Always likely to be in the side no matter what IMO. We’ll see.

I’m hoping Jake Allen is one of those announced. Would be a terrific coup IMO.

Well they might still be half right as yet -
It is the same Allen, but unless he’s changed his name to Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, then he won’t be wearing “a big number seven on the South Coast”
-
Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen signs.

Should hear something this week then. Possibly/hopefully! TBH you don’t get any prizes for announcing your team first, and I’d rather he took his time to get the right riders, then rushing it through to satisfy impatient supporters. I think I’m more impatient this year though because of all the uncertainty of whether we’ll actually have a competitive team or not let alone a successful one.

TBF I forgot about Cook and Barker. They genuinely can’t stand the sight of each other. That’s not idle gossip it’s well known. Just stick them on opposite ends of the pits and jobs a good un -
We don’t even know Louis even made that trip. The interview in the Ipswich star he said he was going “next week”, which was last week. He hadn’t gone by last Wednesday evening. Maybe he went Thursday or Friday Or he cancelled as another move went belly up I’m beginning to get impatient now I must admit. Seeing the Panthers releasing names and good ones, isn’t helping. Maybe something this week...

Well we have some confidently claiming Allen is joining Ipswich, and now you confidently claiming he’s Poole bound! Shame if he’s joining Poole as that was one particular rumour I was quite enthused about..

Well that could indeed throw a huge spanner in the works. An unhappy camp is very rarely successful! Let’s hope for the Panthers sake there’s little foundation to that particular rumour. -

A reserve duo of L Bjerre and Barker is a potent weapon. Won’t see any better reserve pairings than that! Poole may push them close if Allen joins Covatti. -
I’m sure supporters at other clubs will look at those and have a chuckle, BUT, (Allen aside as for some reason I can’t remember how well he goes) all those go very well around Foxhall and would help us be competitive at home at least. Fingers crossed Louis can come up with a couple of heatleaders that will help us be competitive on the road too.

We’ll see.

But we’ve already been told we’ve signed riders. Just because none have been announced doesn’t mean riders haven’t signed on. Louis likes to reveal the full 7 in one go.

Charles Wright confirmed as fourth signing. -
Doubt we’ll see Allen at Foxhall. Would be nice though..

I suspect they’ve released them for those that will buy them regardless, and believe it or not plenty do. They’ll also know that the majority will be sold once the team is known. But a few early sales will no doubt help the cash flow at the club. At the end of the day Louis said he’s aiming to announce the full team by Christmas, which is only a fortnight away so no real biggie.

I guess it’s a chance to hear the latest from CL this evening. If anyone attending can relate any interesting snippets on here later it would be very much appreciated. I’d attend myself if I wasn’t working.

Probably why he’s just flogged Paco to Brum. It’s paid for his ticket..

Hartel is an Ipswich asset. He became one before a wheel had been turned apparently Dont ask me how riders become “assets” these days, I’ve long given up trying to understand the criteria for becoming one -

That’s because Louis’ preference is to name the team in one go. As soon as rider number 7 is signed, he’ll name the team. He never has been one to “drip feed” his septet. -
Very much doubt it..
-
Not confirmed anywhere yet Blu. Maybe tomorrow?

So as expected, Rory goes back to Wolves. Cook is off to the Pussycats, so just who IS going to be our heatleaders? Nicholls and King you’d expect are Certainties, but neither are heatleaders. Maybe third heatleader at a push but we’ll need bigger hitters than those two. Lets just hope Louis can pull a Rabbit out of the hat and this mystery foreigner is a good un! He’s going to need to be!!
