  1. Fixtures released this week I believe. Going to be interesting to see who we’ll get stuffed by first
  2. Hugely impressive from Tungate it has to be said. They could have raced there all night long and he wouldn’t have been beaten. Very fast on the night. Well done to Fricke overall though, a worthy champion.
  3. Back in November I’d have said no ta, but I’d snap your hand off for KK right now..
  4. It’s going to be so satisfying turning you over, just like we always do!
  5. Just read the Speedway Star and I wouldn’t read much in to Lawson starting at number 1. Seems a bit of a nothing piece really and just says unless Ipswich sign a “heavyweight” who didn’t ride in the UK last season, he COULD be fighting it out for the number 1 berth. They don’t seem to have any clue like the rest of us. Interestingly, Tungate says in the Star there could be a possibility “in the next few days” of something happening in the Premiership, with only Kings Lynn and Ipswich spots available. Yes we know it was very unlikely he would return to Ipswich for various reasons that I won’t go in to on here, but just maybe they’ve got to the point where we’re going to have to take him on because we have no other choice? Really can’t see him rocking up at Lynn
  6. We did, and Louis was (is?) a big fan. Wanted him signed as a full asset but ultimately got outbid by Rick Frost at Peterborough. Maybe an option..
  7. I really like Allen and Heeps at reserve, and I haven’t a problem with King and Lawson in the engine room either, particularly at Foxhall. It’s the final three that will make or break us. Think we all agree King and Heeps were pretty much certain, and both Lawson and Allen were named by reliable people on here as well. But their hasn’t been a sniff of a rumour for the remaining three so it’s going to be interesting to see what they come up with.
  8. Dunno mate we all pretty much know that Lawson is in so think I’d prefer to get this announcement out of the way so we can then prolong the excitement (or the agony ) a little bit longer
  9. Smart money would be Richard Lawson. The last remaining rider that’s been well strongly rumoured as “Signed”.
  10. Nothing wrong with a Heeps/Allen reserve pairing whatsoever. That was never going to be the issue.
  11. Two of the four “signed” riders before Christmas were rumoured to be Heeps and Richard Lawson so it’s probably one of them. Agree with you though, would much prefer a surprise preferably a strong heatleader!
  12. I’ve seen this a couple of times now and I’m sorry but I don’t buy that at all.
  13. Well none of us have had anything positive to say so far mate so come and have a whinge with the rest of us
  14. No I haven’t, didn’t know there was one Edit: found it, I see he’s alive and well! Come on Baldyman are you on a sponsored silence or something
  15. Anyone know if Baldyman is ok? Hasn’t been seen on here for quite a while and I see he hasn’t tweeted since September either. Hope the fella is ok..
  16. I thought that. They had signed “4” but have only named 2. I’m wondering if the other two can’t be announced officially until they’re happy with the top end? If things don’t go to plan (which seems likely at present) and they have to change the make up of the side and go strength in depth, then maybe the two signed riders will be told they’re out. Huge kick in the balls for those two riders especially this late in the day where they wouldn’t have a chance to get fixed up elsewhere, but it’s the only reason I can think of as to why only 2 were announced and not all 4. King and Allen were probably safe announcements and in the team whatever the scenario.
  17. It is, but we have to remember it’s only harmless fun to generate a bit of off season chatter. We (Ipswich) were the paper champions of the Championship, we have a trophy cabinet full of them as we were the best team “on paper” virtually every season we were down there. Unfortunately we never actually won ONE trophy made out of actual Silver
  18. Oh dear. Are we now on to plan “Hi Rohan it’s Chris, sorry mate been having trouble with my damn phone and I’ve only just seen your text” yet then?
  19. Great team Panthers enjoy the season! Hope it’s rejected by the BSPA fairly soon to spoil your Christmas
  20. Crikey nothing wrong with your memory Badge!
  21. You’re quite right Badge. I also remember vividly the club keeping that very quiet, with no mention of his absence on local radio a couple of hours earlier, and when everyone had paid their entrance fee they announced on the tannoy that Hancock and one other (Kolodzej?) were missing! Think Reading ran with a couple of NL guests or something similar which made the meeting a farce.
  22. Think anywhere else King wouldn’t particularly be seen as a good signing. But for us you’d have to say he is. Knows Foxhall like the back of his hand and as was said earlier, is rarely beaten by the heatleaders in the Championship around the Heath so should be a solid scorer to help win our home meetings which is important.
