  1. https://ipswichwitches.co/ipswich-v-peterborough-raceday-preview/ RR for Andersen.
  2. Don’t agree. If we had bigger hitters up top we wouldn’t have the strength in reserve or the solid look from top to bottom. We’ve beaten teams comfortably this year with our top scorer not even hitting double figures. The team is built so that every rider from 1-7 score half decent points, which totals up to winning meetings, and being competitive in others. Belle Vue are a good side, especially at home obviously, but if this was a play off final I’d fancy our chances of finishing this off at Foxhall.
  3. Would snap your hand off for that right now. Belle Vue by 10.
  4. Great was really looking forward to seeing him back at Foxhall next week. Hope he’s back fit soon.
  5. Reruns version of Monday’s BT sport meeting heat 9. Got the riders names right at least but poor work from the camera man who missed the crucial part of the whole race!
  6. For what it’s worth Badge I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the racing this year! More than previous seasons and I never thought I’d be saying that
  7. Baldyman’s right there’s not usually that much dirt on the track as there was Monday. Whether the overnight rain played a part in that I’ve no idea. Ipswich have just uploaded another race from the Poole meeting, this is much more consistent with how the track is prepared although it’s slickened off here as it’s towards the end of the meeting On another note, why does everyone not know who Heeps is anymore? He turned in to Bellego on Monday and he’s turned in to Jake Allen here! Poor Cam
  8. Not sure Rory has ever been known for his racing. Heeps is a racer, and the lines he tries like we saw on Monday, are the exact same lines you’d expect “bomber” to be using. Alas we’ve seen nothing of the sort from Harris. He’s been hugely disappointing so far not just because of his points scored, but for the entertainment value you’d expect from him. Still time to see that of course and let’s hope we see it soon.
  9. The only argument I can make for not making a change, is that a lot has been made of a close knit group who have a great team spirit and they’re all helping each other and they don’t want to upset the applecart while things are going so well.
  10. I have to agree with Baldyman here. You should never rest on your laurels and we clearly have a rider that is not up to the job. Peterborough have strengthened up already and you can bet your bottom dollar somebody will sign Cook in the not too distant future on a bargain average and they’ll suddenly look strong whoever it is. Things can change very quickly and you could easily be in the position at the end of the season saying what ifs. Too late then. Why not improve further if the opportunity is there to do so?
  11. Lawson is doing everything expected of him. He isn’t a Premiership heatleader and never has been. He’s a solid middle order 6 pointer and that’s exactly what we’re getting. Hes doing fine.
  12. Think it was a big missed opportunity by Wolves in all honesty Steve. We made numerous errors early doors and were missing our key rider. When Wolves kept getting their noses in front I thought that was that. Any away point is good, but I’m sure most Wolves supporters would have seen this one as a missed opportunity.
  13. Definitely. He as much as anyone helped with the win tonight by pulling off a couple of great rides just when it looked like the meeting could get away from us. He came good just when we badly needed it.
  14. I dunno about that Baldy, that was definitely the case with JL in charge, less so with CL. We’ve even tried to make changes when we weren’t allowed to
  15. He only rode one track well, and that was Swindon’s big open track which he loved. They’ve even shortened that now and he didn’t like it the other week! His Away form has always been rubbish. He has a 6-7 point average solely due to scoring heavily on the old Swindon track. He’s a weak link and it could end up costing us a successful season if we don’t act before his average drops.
  16. Totally agree but can’t see too many options?
  17. Not for me. We do need to make this change though. We’re so close to having a real go and it would be shame to waste it because we didn’t act when needed. Someone said previously that Heeps and Allen will remain at reserve a while longer, but that’s not going to be the case long term. We simply can’t lose that reserve advantage because I don’t see Bellego being as potent as those two down there. We have a little break now, a change MUST be made if we’re serious about having a real good go.
  18. Get in. Got away with one there! Silly mistakes early on and badly missing Allen we’ve done incredibly well to still pick up 3 points. Very encouraging. The team isn’t far off being genuine challengers we just need to make one team change, and get Allen fit. Thankfully we now have a little break.
  19. Have to agree. Put in a decent replacement for Bellego and get Allen fit and this team is genuine challengers. Heeps/Allen is a deadly reserve partnership and remains our strong point.
  20. Track was awfully tricky though to be fair. Was always going to improve once it slickened off
  21. Anyway, been plenty of overnight drizzle and forecast is for a dry day. Should make for a decent race track hopefully. Still concerned about the loss of Jake, he’s been a pivotal factor in our strong start to the season and for that reason I think it could be very close either way tonight.
  22. Must admit I’ve thought twice about it! Can understand those that have BT sport staying at home. I’m expecting a poor crowd tonight I don’t think they’ve done enough with this golden ticket thing. Needed to do more IMO.
