What’s the 1st of September got to do with it? We’ve re-declared now not from Sunday onwards.

Ipswich vs Poole 29/08/19
Arch Stanton replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Far too much is being made of Pooles previous victory at Foxhall. These things happen. On our previous visit to Swindon, Swindon had to pull of heroics in heat 15 to nab the win, this week we got mauled by more than 40 points, that’s speedway. Different night, probably different conditions, and definitely different personnel. Previous meetings are completely irrelevant. -

Lynn fans will know more than me Baldyman, but I think that modest average was due to a poor year riding with a shoulder injury? That’s why they desperately wanted him back on an average he was sure to increase -

Iversen has been in good form recently, will be disappointed with 9 or 10 personally. Certainly makes tomorrow’s meeting even more interesting than it was already. NKI alone should pull in even more supporters but with it being Poole and a crucial fixture, could well see our biggest gate of the season. Looking forward to it. -

An injury he’s still carrying apparently and it’s being “managed” until the end of the season when he’ll probably then have surgery. Thats why I think Jake Allen will be hot property this winter. He was absolutely superb pre injury and hasn’t hit those heights since his return. That though will keep his average at a mark that will make him very appealing for when he comes back to tapes next March fully fit, especially if fitted in at reserve. Hopefully we’ll have an advantage and will already have some kind of agreement to retain him next year. -
Isn’t Iversen one of the main beneficiaries of Guy Nicholls sponsorship? If so, probably a very helpful factor in getting him to Foxhall

Heeps still missing for this fixture. That’s a blow especially now we’ve lost one of our strong reserves. Obviously we need to see how Sargeant goes on the night, but you’d expect that this is the night that Jake Allen SHOULD be getting 7 rides down at reserve with what looks on paper a weak reserve partner, and R/R for Heeps. Will he? Not likely! -
Two of the riders must have known they were out before the meeting so you’d have to assume that was a contributing factor to such a drubbing. The two riders “sacked” scored 22 between them on their last visit Swindon odds on to lift the trophy though if everyone stays fit. The form horse by far right now.

Must beat Poole at home this Thursday. Ideally would have liked Iversen to have a meeting or two at Foxhall before such a crucial fixture, but hopefully his experience and quality should still show. Very very interesting meeting at Foxhall on Thursday and I’d expect a bumper crowd. Last week of the kids holiday, crucial fixture that could make or break our play off hopes, and a star signing making his debut! as well as NKI

I think it does personally. We still have A strong reserve now Allen drops back there, and Sargeant actually rides Ipswich pretty well. If he doesn’t, he’ll get three rides and Allen will get an extra ride. In theory anyway! Getting Iversen in may also give the others a lift, particularly Harris who should now feel less pressure and gets away from number 1.

So is that Jake Allen back down to reserve alongside Sarjeant? Iversen Lawson Harris Heeps King Allen Sargeant Could work.

KP can consider himself a touch unfortunate IMO. There’s others I’d have preferred to see go before him.

Peterborough Panthers 2019
Arch Stanton replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I can understand to a degree those that were put off by the Peterborough line up and decided to keep their money in their pockets. I seriously thought about it too TBF. But those that did decide to stay away missed a pretty decent meeting. Ive looked forward to some great looking fixtures this season and on a lot of occasions I’ve walked out of the stadium disappointed at what was served up. This was the opposite. Maybe because the expectations were low who knows Just goes to show that you never know -

It should indeed. Harris should be good for double figures and that will make a big difference to us. Could be very close either way. -

He got there in the end! I do like KP I have to say. More than happy to keep him in the side next year. -

They’re gonna be on a hiding to nothing here! Absolutely impossible to do much with those sort of temperatures. I don’t envy them Thursday. -
Poole v Ipswich. Prem. 18th July 2019
Arch Stanton replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But that’s not exclusive to Poole is it? Some of you carry on as if it’s only Poole who are weakened and everyone else is either at full strength, and actually “stronger” due to guests and R/R! The knives were out for Worrall before his injury. We went many meetings without Jake Allen who at the time wasn’t just the best reserve in the league, he was one of the in form riders full stop! The likes of Josh Bates were brought in for meetings and were scoring next to nothing and we still managed to pick up points most meetings. Wolves have had problems, Swindon also, Peterborough have had rotten luck during, and even before the season even started. It’s not exclusive to just Poole. And yes, Poole have done very well to battle through their recent problems to still pick up points, no doubt about it. -

Everyone is entitled to the odd off night they all have them. He’s generally been very good all season and pretty consistent. Much better than I was expecting in all honesty. -
Wolves V Ipswich 15/7/19
Arch Stanton replied to stevebrum's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Will be interesting to hear what went wrong tonight Taps when he does his column, like I said hes usually half decent around Wolves and has just come off a 15 point maximum for Sheffield so would have thought full of confidence. Strange one. Just a mention for Richard Lawson. He’s really impressed me this season and he’s produced much more than I was expecting. Had the odd stinker like all the lads have at some stage, but in the main he’s been consistently decent. -

Poole, Swindon, Ipswich and Belle Vue you’d think odds on for the play offs -

Great to bounce back with a very handy 2 points on the road but what on earth happened to King? Usually pretty good value around Wolves.
