The conference in November is still a little while away, so much can happen until then so I wouldn’t resign yourself to anything just yet. Ford has confirmed the club is still on the market and is still looking for a buyer, would anyone be surprised if Keith Chapman purchased another club and kept Poole in the top division? I wouldn’t. Maybe this is what Matt Ford is hoping for? He saw Chapman buy clubs last winter to keep the top flight viable, so if he makes noises in public about taking the club down, he’ll finally get the buyer he’s been looking for? Stranger things have happened.

Aww come on Lisa! Riders will be spoken to by others without seeking permission to do so by every single club in the league. It’s completely naive to think otherwise.
-
Louis confirmed only a fortnight ago in an interview with Mike Bacon that he sees Ipswich’ future in the top flight. Things can obviously change very quickly but I’d be surprised if the club dropped back down so quickly.
-
Of course, but it’s naive to think riders won’t be spoken to and they WILL be spoken to by various promoters before the AGM regardless of whose “assets” they are. Planning for the following season doesn’t start as soon as the AGM is completed, we know it starts much earlier than that. Obviously contracts can’t be signed or anything set in stone until after the AGM as nobody can be certain what will happen. But the Poole riders will obviously be aware of Poole’s intentions now, and will almost certainly be making contingency plans if Poole’s application is accepted and they’d be quite right to do that. they’re not going to risk waiting on a ratification at the AGM before looking elsewhere for a top flight ride incase their options become limited IF and when that happens. That’s just common sense.

With the news Poole are applying to drop in to the championship, we’d be daft not to quickly contact both Klindt and Grajczonek considering how well both men ride Foxhall. They won’t be short of offers.

How about a 10 week Premier League season?

52 weeks in a year and we’re proposing a 10 week “season”? LOL, no. That’s one long long long off season! -

Seems to be the case at most tracks these days. -
Absolutely hammering it down again in Ipswich, been like this for days now. Walked across a muddy field on the way to work this evening and it was like quicksand! Up to my ankles in mud. Even with a dry day tomorrow they’ve got a big job on trying to get the track in any kind of half decent shape IMO.

I’m sure there will be.

“Compared to every other club I have dealt with during my time In England for a couple of years they are very professional. They want you to do well as much as you want to do well. There has never been a problem if I have asked for advice or help. It was a good for me to go to a new club and I am glad it was Ipswich. I have really enjoyed my time here and hopefully if all goes to plan, I will be here next year and for years after that.” Good lad. Should be the first name on our 2020 team sheet. The injury was a shame and he admits its still being “managed” and will be sorted over the winter, but it will actually benefit us average wise. It would no doubt have been higher than it currently is so there’s room for more improvement on that figure next year. Would imagine he’d be on most teams wanted list, but we clearly have the advantage and need his signature sewn up ASAP.

We didn’t “stand a prayer” of making the play offs by most on here at the start of the season, and we didn’t “stand a prayer” of making the final either when your lot fought back to take a 10 point lead after the first leg. One thing is certain, the majority on here are absolutely dreadful tipsters!

Why would you? You won by 10! What makes you think it would have been more? We lost by 12 last week when it’s widely known it was used as a training exercise by our riders, encouraged to try different engines and set ups in the likelihood of returning for the play offs. The previous 3 at Poole you beat us by 6, 6 again and 2! behave.

That was the first major alteration to the track back in 2010, they’ve taken the bends in twice more since then. The old track was often criticised as being far too narrow to produce good racing which was fair enough. Chris Louis is on record as saying riders came to Foxhall and were already beaten before it started as they never had the confidence to race and attack the track because of its confined spaces. That certainly isn’t the case now, there’s plenty of room so that excuse can’t be used anymore. When I used to see comments on here about Foxhall I always thought other tracks were so lucky to produce far better racing. That was until I was forced in to early retirement and had more time on my hands to travel to away meetings. The last few years I’ve visited just about every track in the championship and now the premiership, and the fact is I’ve seen very few that offer anything much different to what I’ve seen at Foxhall! There’s a few select tracks that most of us know, that seem to produce good racing more often than not. Scunthorpe, Somerset, Peterborough and now of course the NSS being the best of the lot. But the truth is the majority are much of a muchness that will serve up poor meetings, average/ok meetings and a few very good meetings here and there.

People have to realise we had a monsoon on Friday and the track was literally under water. They done a fantastic job getting the track in the shape it was. BCD, the crowd was huge last night! And the atmosphere was electric, best I can remember for many many years. Seen a comment on here that the atmosphere was poor, can’t quite believe that comment. Maybe it came across that way on TV I don’t know, but certainly wasn’t the case at the stadium. Air horns are banned at Foxhall BTW.
