  1. We don’t know that neither haven’t yet.
  2. With respect Phil, our “Number 1” last year was Chris Harris who dropped a couple of points off his average and we ended up runners up. It’s not the be all and end all.
  3. More than happy with Ayres as long as he has a more established reserve partner (Nico?)
  4. What points does that leave for the final rider?
  5. That would be fantastic but I just can’t see it.
  6. I only have 4, King, Heeps, Allen and Klindt.
  7. Will be interesting to see how he gets on. Definitely something there I think and the Lynn track may well suit him. On us, feels a bit deja vu. I know the club tweeted that everything is under control, but I just have a suspicion that we’re struggling to attract that elusive heatleader again just like last winter. Hope we manage to find a better solution than “bomber” this time!
  8. Covatti in this weeks Speedway star says he’s looking for clubs in both the Championship, and Premiership. So if we plan on using him, we haven’t as yet signed him up.
  9. Christ if that’s the case the rest of us may as well not bother!
  10. That would be the ideal scenario. Keep the lifeblood of the club as co owner to do the day to day running of the place, while the other co owner with more financial muscle, helps to build potentially title winning sides..
  11. Swindon weren’t even sure to even be in the play offs for a chunk of the season, and that was with Batchelor riding way above his average. It was only when Jensen came in and he also rode way above his average that they moved upwardly mobile. Neither of those two will ride above their starting averages next season. You don’t find a Jensen mid season every year but I think they’re going to need to find another one. As Swindon proved, it’s not how you start the season it’s how you finish and I’m almost certain they’ll make changes mid season.
  12. 6.8 left for the two reserves, plus anything from a Brit reduction if Ellis qualifies? So that’s Ellis Perks in the main body, and a couple of 3ish pointers at reserve. That’s crazy IMO.
  13. That would be a barmy decision IMO. Both of those have more improvement in their averages than any of the heatleader trio Swindon have just signed. Providing the Pole was up for a return, those two should have been the first names on the team sheet after securing Doyle.
  14. Crikey I wasn’t expecting all three of the Swindon heatleaders to return! Not sure that’s the right strategy myself but I’ll hold fire until the full septet is announced. Surely Adam Ellis will be retained too? Going to need to pull a couple of big improvers out of the hat at the bottom end.
  15. No, it was the sale of the club, NOT a “buyback”. Chapman isn’t, and never was the owner of Ipswich Witches and probably now never will be now he’s no longer chair of the BSPA. I suggest you also read this weeks Speedway Star and the part titled “Stepping down”, in which the article starts with “Kings Lynn and Peterborough owner Keith Chapman”.
  16. You’re wrong, Chapman has never owned Ipswich. That may have initially been the intention, but it never materialised.
  17. What part is nonsense? The Ipswich part certainly isn’t. Chapman isn’t the owner of Ipswich, Chris Louis said so himself a few weeks back.
  18. We desperately need Iversen to go with those 4. Can’t see anyone else on a 7-8 point average better than him that we’re going to need.
