  1. Oh are we still in 2014 i will come back after the AGM.
  2. Yes the aces did move by choice. The choice the promoters had was to move or close down as they said that speedway was not sustainable at the dog stadium. They stuck at it for 7 long years pushing on set back after set back and more than likely running at a loss for those years. But i kept the faith in their passion to keep our club alive and it paid off. Now the Swindon promoters are in the same position. There is written evidence that they are on the case and from what i have read they have the will to get the new stadium built so the fans have to have faith that they will ride all the set backs and get the job done.Even if it takes a little longer than people had hoped. The other option is to look at what happened to other clubs and come up with all sorts of reasons with no evidence only their opinion as to why they will fail Belle vue had plenty of them.I know where i would like my head to be over the coming months.KEEP THE FAITH.
  3. Why looking at your prices for last year if you were lucky enougth to have 20 1st team/ ind meetings and went to 10 national league meetings paying at the gate and with no programme it would cost you £450 so my £444 inc programme does not seem that bad to me.
  4. All i can say as a Belle vue fan is there will be plenty of hold ups but keep the faith i did.
  5. Re Belle vue season tickets from my point of view.I will be going to every meeting and want to sit in the £20 seats and i buy a programme every match so it will cost me 20 x £23 = £460 +10 x £12 = £120 for the colts meetings total £580.A season ticket will cost me £444 so for me that is a saving of £136 so to me a season ticket is the way to go.Also if we do well again and get to the play offs the semi is inc so thats another £23 saved we did this year so why not again next year.
  6. Just rang Belle vue they said that they have no idea how many Elite meetings there will be until after the AGM.They said that they wanted to run more meetings next year so the price of a season ticket will include open meetings and challenge matches etc.But not any national or international meetings.
  7. Yep all tongue in cheek i would be amazed if he returned to the Elite league for a good few years
  8. Who knows if Cookie has desided to stay with Edinburgh he could be on his way to Belle vue new stadium new race night always say you never know
  9. After years of sod the rest lets up the point limit so we can choose the 3 heat leaders we want. A Poole fan gets to feel what its like to support most other Elite league teams
  10. If the powers that be allow this then great for Poole fans. But the league as a competition would be over before it starts. When a lot of clubs these days are finding it hard to sign a no 1 quality rider to let Poole run with 3 would be shear madness and would be a hole in the head for British speedway. By the way this is not an anti Poole post i would think the same way if it was any other club including my own i want to see a good close competitive league with a final that either team can win and to watch good close meetings every week not walk overs.
  11. My like is a thanks for the top part. for the second part thats ok for the top teams not so good for the other 2/3rds of the league as i have said before back in the day when they all wanted to ride over here i would have agreed with you but sadly now there are not enought riders willing to ride over here for the rest to strenghten up. ps thank you all for your opinions re Zengota Yep thats the problem with the present heat format gives to many riders false averages eg hans finished with an average of 6.45 having rode most of the season as an heat leader so who would be the better signing ?.
  12. If the 2 riders over 7 point average still stands will Zengota who finished with a 7.79 average stand a chance of a team place with swindon also if not is he good enougth for any other team to take on as their 2nd heat leader.Am only asking because i have not seen him ride that often this year ie did he score most of his points at home or an even spread home and away.
  13. Back in the day Phil when all the riders wanted to ride over here i would agree with you but not now it would make the league more one sided than it is now. I am suprised at the people that have either posted in agreement or liked posts agreeing with you to name a few Hagonshocker and Orlov both Swindon fans and Shale shifter a Leicester fan. First of all lets look at Swindon you all know how hard it is to find heat leaders that want to ride over here nowadays.Next year you are all pinning your hopes on Doyle and or Kildemand signing for you what happens if Doyle stays with Leicester and Killer wont do a full season again you will possibly be left with Zengota and Batchelor as your top 2. Shale shifter how as a Leicester fan can you agree other than Doyle the rest of your team are on sub 6 point averages so really this season you have only managed to sign 1 heat leader you will need 3 if you are to challenge Poole and if you lose him god help you. So as it stands both teams could find it very hard to match a Poole team that is restricted to a poss 34 point limit let alone the 35+ limit they have achived this season. As it stands now Poole have won the league for the last 3 seasons with a point limit. With a point limit it gives all clubs(with the limited riders that want to ride over here) a chance to match them without it none of us will have a hope and without the hope that your team could compete this year then speedway is in a worse place than it is now.
  14. Lets leave it there then because this could go on and on with no real end and its getting a little boring now. Belle vue wanted to win it on the track or not at all. Lets remember the points that really matter. Both teams gave us a great final to remember it must i.m.o be ranked as one of the best and a great advert for British speedway.Well done to Poole who on the track were (just) the better team over the 2 legs. Pools highlights their reserves performance at Kirky lane and the home peformance of Magic and achieving 3 titles in a row. Belle vues highlights their never say die attitude and Cookie showing what he can really do in the Elite league and for giving our long suffering fans the hope that we have finally turned the corner and are on our way to being the Belle vue of old. So lets forget gogglegate and remember what really matters and that is what happened on the track it was a brilliant play off final.
  15. First of all congratulations to Poole but to be honest i dont think i could feel much better than i do now if Belle vue had won.I am so proud to be a Belle vue fan at this momment. After 8 years of being at the bottom end of the league table to see them reach the final and perform like they did gives me at long last the feeling that we have finally turned the corner and we now have a chance that the club could be on its way back to being the force it once was.If we can keep the majority of this years team together along with the new stadium then Belle vues future to me looks very bright.
  16. Belle vue theres alway a first for everything you never know .
  17. After a long slow build up theres the punch line lol
  18. Good God what a load of B/S the bottom line is that 2 teams and i said 2 teams have ridden their hearts out for a full season to get into the play offs.Zagar be he stupid or testing to see if the injury was ok is still injured and not Belle vues fault so why should they lose out. So for me its about the team and the fans of both clubs and we all deserve to have 2 teams that are competative in a play off semi final So if Belle vue bring in Jonsson for Zagar then they are no stronger or weaker as they are both on a par with each other in the Elite league. So it is even for both clubs and then the team that wins goes through on merit and not because one has had to field a weakened team.
  19. This is not a dig at anybody and i wish Dacs dad a speedy recovery. But if Dac had flown home to be with his dad then i dont think anyone would have have thought there was anything underhand going on but seeing that he has not and with Pooles past record i am sad to say it does cause people to think the worst.
  20. Yes we have 6 home meetings still need to rearange the Leicester match which should add 3 more points to our total.
  21. Yep thats true but sadly it seems more important at some tracks than it is at others.
  22. Just shows how easily this forum fills up with conspiracy theorys when people just post whats in their heads when they have not even checked if what they are posting is true or not,one of the biggest problems with this forum i m o.
  23. Alot of Belle vue teams in the past have looked better on paper than they have performed on the track lets hope this team puts that record to bed.Tonight will give us some idea of how we will fair on the road this year.I hope we do very well as Wolves should be one of our more favoured away tracks. Fingers crossed as after a long lean spell our club needs to have a good year.
