As a Belle vue fan new stadium big opening meeting world team cup british final decent team on paper and a national league team to support the answer is a big yes.
-
Make the most of it the sleeping giant has just started to wake up.
-
You are right you have been a thorn in our side at Kirky lane for years.I hope your team hates the new place and that we stuff you twice it will make a nice change and give me a lot of pleasure . On a more serious note best of luck with the new stadium i have loved to hate Coventry for years(and Poole of course) you are the first team i look for on a new fixture list. The league just would not be the same without you. I would never swear at a lady lisa but you are getting very close. As a Poole fan i bet you would not have signed it.

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
B.V 72 replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
This jumping to every Polish command needs to be stopped. If Holder or any other riders calender was empty for him to take the Belle vue booking and he agreed to ride then he should be commited to that meeting.Belle vue have advertised that Holder will be riding in the meeting.Holder an ex world champion is a big name and part of the reason why people have bought tickets for this meeting, and some Poole fans may have bought tickets booked hotels and made travel arangements at no small cost to come and support him. There is no way that any other club that has arranged a meeting/event after the meeting that said rider has commited to ride should be able to insist that a rider breaks his contract. If a rider signs on the dotted line to ride in a meeting then he should be made unavailable to ride elsewhere full stop. Its really not fair on fans that have bought tickets to see him ride. -
As a Belle vue fan to an extent i can see where lionking is comming from but i do think(hope) we will do better than 6th. My point being is that i think it is hard to predict what this team will do there are to many unknowns. Will they all ride the new track well nobody knows. We will not have any track advantage for the earlier meetings, will that cost us some wins.Zagar will be Zagar. Will Cook continue where he left off last season and finally become a true heat leader home and away.Nicholls rode Kirky lane very very well will he be as good on the new track.Fricke,S and R Worrall and jacobs all have potential to be better but will they. So as i say its very hard to predict what this team will do there are to many unknown factors so i will not predict anything i will just wait and see.

2017 - 1 Or 2 Fixed Race Nights And When?
B.V 72 replied to 1 valve's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As i said Steve i really hope that they can attract more of the top boys back. But if it stays the same as this year with not enougth top riders to go around all the clubs and causeing very uneven teams then i think our league as a team sport would run better without any of them. -

2017 - 1 Or 2 Fixed Race Nights And When?
B.V 72 replied to 1 valve's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sorry to say steve we are not far off that now.I would think that most of this years Wolves team would still want to ride in a changed league. We already have a big proportion of Premier league class riders in the Elite league now and a massive amount of class riders have already gone missing and you are still willing to go so with the just the loss of the big 5 mentioned would it really stop you going. To me its not about G P riders its about team racing and it would be not that much different than it is now.Other than the point that most of the teams would stand a chance of being evenly matched of which they are not this year. -

Sadly i think you could be right Fast gater in a few years time i think it will be one large Premier league(after trying all they can to get the top boys back. But i think its all about the money of which most clubs dont have any more. If you look at this year the Elite league has only 5 so named top boys Zagar.Holder,Jonsson,Doyle and Kasprzak. The league needs at least 8 as all the teams need a top rider for the league to be competitive.Look at the problems it has caused Kings Lynn and Leicester this year.If you look at the teams in the Elite league this year i think it is the least competitve list of teams i have ever seen in my 44 years of watching speedway. So going Premier league means we will loose 5 top riders the above 5 who could decide at any time that they dont want to ride here anymore.I think that a large percentage of the other riders will still want to ride over here so the change over as things are now will not be that massive.I m o i think more fans will be lost this year because their team is not competative rather than them not having a top man ride for them. If we all do go Premier league what will happen ?.We loose 5 top riders and possibly a few others. The remaining riders that want to ride over here would be spread around the league making the Prem league a little stronger. We would have approx 20 meaningfull home fixtures seeing 20 different teams a year. There would be no double uppers to worry about missing meetings. All fans would get to see their teams riders every week and chosen race nights would not be as much of a problem. There would be enougth meetings for the riders to make a living. After watching top league speedway for 44 years i would love the Elite league to stay alive and if they can get a lot of the top boys plus many other quality riders that choose to just ride in Europe back i would be over the moon but the way things are these days i just can't see it happening(i hope i am so wrong)But if they can't get them to come back in numbers the Elite league as it now is bobbins there are just not enougth quality riders to go around and changing to all Premier league is to me a better option than what we have now. -
Are Lynn fans pd off with the fact that if you don't sign a top No 1 rider you will not get your money's worth and miss out on seeing a top rider every week. Or are you more pd off that you don't think that the team will be as competitive as the other teams that have IfZagar,Jonsson.Holder,Doyle and Kasprzak were missing as well and all the teams were in the same boat. But as a result all the teams were more even with the riders that were left spread out and(eg the likes of Batchalor,Harris Cook and Andersen as No 1s) would you be happier. What i am trying to find out really is whether its the top riders or a compeitive team is more important to fans.

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
B.V 72 replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sadly one is against Belle vue on the 19th Aug.Somerset are away at Edinburgh. Was looking forward to this meeting as Swindon on paper imo look to be one of the stronger teams and should have been one of the better meetings. Its not the same when a team has to use 2 guests . -
Sorry ignore this post my misunderstanding i have just rang Belle vue and i am allowed to choose my seat for the season of which i have now done.So my appologies to Belle vue speedway.
-
Just a small gripe. As a season ticket holder i was not given the option to pick a seat number in which i would like to sit in all season even though i forked out £444 to watch all the Elite and all the Colts meetings in the grandstand.Where as now if you book in advance for any individual meeting you can pick any seat you like. Now the problem starts is if this buy in advance scheme takes off and a lot of fans book in advance no matter how early i get there all the better seats may have have gone(nearer start gate etc).So having paid up front for all the meetings, season ticket holders will have to sit in the seats that are left. Not the best incentive to buy one again next year is it.

To be honest while they keep the new race format the points limit will be totally up the wall.Because of it no rider in the league has a true average so how can you access team strengths on averages when all the averages are cocked up.Next year it will be even worse with the FTRs now getting an average that counts towards team building, with protected heats the better ones or the riders that move into the reserve spot could end up with maybe 7 point averages how do you build teams to a point limit next year if this is the case totally crazy. Now the FT system has done its job and the tier one riders are of a better standard we should have moved back to the old race format this year so next year every rider would have a true average and team building useing averages would be back on track. That way they could look at the riders available on true averages and work out a points limit that has a chance of working, and no bloody heat leader list would be needed Next year we will have to have a reserve list ignoring their averages and going off who the promoters think is a reserve or not and adjusting their averages to fit etc.

This is a team that shows what a cock up the new heat format is and is a team that could be possible without the heat leader list. -
So who is left for the Colts to sign close to a 5.96 average ? I am new to the National league so what do people think of this Colts team so far.

I got mine before xmas try ringing Belle vue speedway on 0161 223 7720 always found them very helpful when i have had any questions. -
Could i just ask TWN do you still watch speedway on the telly.
-
I think you could be right re the heat leader with Bjerre waiting on the side lines there's only 2 other clubs that can fit him in now.The spin we tried this rider and that rider with no joy but Kenny really wants to ride for our club so we welcome him back.Just a thought and as you say we can only wait and see.

The lol at the end of my post states that my post was of a humourous nature just like Skidders post and Newmans actions were.
-
Was that during a race or after the meeting you never know with Newman he seems a little laps with any rules that concern Goggles lol.
-
Next season we will say if the rule book had not favoured you again re Newman moving down the list and Buzz going missing off the heat leader list you would never have finished 2nd lol.
-
And you don't think that he is making spelling mistakes on purpose he seems to do fine when he is rearanging posters names.
-
I well understand the implications of the heat format and to me now tier 1 FTRs have an average and can move up there is no reason why they could not revert back to the old format for next season that way all riders would then regain a true average.Again with the present format the reserves with protected heats cannot attain a true average when riding 2 protected heats so how can they move up and a second string with harder races move down.A top reserve could attain a 7 point average in the reserve birth does that mean he then rides as a heat leader.A heat leader cannot attain a true average riding mainly against heat leaders a 2nd string can't attain a true average riding mainly against 2nd strings and reserves and yes a clever team manager can manipulate the averages to have a certain rider in reserve come the play offs etc plus many more problems all of which will cock things up even more for the 2017 season. But my above post was now that they have wrongly chosen to keep the same format and go with a heat leader list the thread has a title (the heat leader list)so on this subject alone then i don't think they have got many riders on or off the list wrong.
-
Looking at the list to me they have looked at a riders present true ability to decide if he is a heat leader or not in a weakened league.I don't think a riders average or where he rode in the team comes into it much at all. Again looking at the list i think on the whole they have got it pretty much spot on.Towards the bottom end of the list there are bound to be a few disagreements and with the exception of Buzz i cant see anyone they have missed off.Not the best way of govening team strengths but doing it this way i don't think they have done a bad job to be fair.
