Was this thread started by the same poster that got so upset and took it very personal when John Cook made his derogartory comment to fans back in Fedruary. Anyone starting a thread with the personal comment how boring is R Worrall could be said by some is either thick biased or both.

Teams have good and bad times. My club B/vue had an 8 year bad run where 4th from bottom was our best finish and we collected 3 wooden spoons. Most of the fans stuck by the club and in part because they did we now have a decent team and a new stadium to ride in.In time things can only get better. So give it time and stand by your club its times like these that they need the fans more than ever.

Poole Pirates Vs Belle Vue Aces 23/5/16 Sky Meeting
B.V 72 replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
From a Belle vue point of view keep the track as it is most of our riders seemed to love it. -
Starman Poole can add another title to their collection (how can i put it politely) having the biggest silly billy on the BSF as a fan.

Team GB all the way for me above all others. But i must admit i have never supported a rider more than i have Jason Crump.Yep even over any Brit in an individual meeting i just loved his skill his riding style his will to win and i never saw him give less than 100% in any race i saw him ride in .Speedways a funny sport for whatever reason you just take to a rider and his nationality in individual meetings just does not really matter. At the moment my man is Cookie i just love to watch him ride not a patch on Jason(still improving though)and he just happens to be a Brit but for some reason i just love to watch the guy race.

I felt the same as you on Wed H T and came home feeling a little disapointed. But after watching the Colts match last night the track really showed its true potential there were more passes than i have fingers and toes to count on it was a briliant race meeting.I dont know what happened on Wednesday perhaps the Belle vue boys could not find the right set up and the Swindon riders did who knows.as they certainly showed us how to ride it.If thats the case i hope the Belle vue riders take the time to get some practise on the track before our next home meeting.Having said that i would like to think that with time that the home riders will get dialed in and the track will build up some more dirt as its a little to slick for me at the moment and the outside line will be a lot better when it does.Time is the key. -

What a fantastic meeting a shear joy to watch these lads put their heart and sole into every race.Early days yet but i.m.o for entertainment value this meeting knocked spots off Wednesdays Elite league meeting. -
Signed.Love to hate the Coventry Bees the club just cannot be lost to the sport the very best of luck.

I can see the reasoning why the BSPA have blocked cookies move to Peterborough. But what gets me is that their reasoning is not consistent it seems that it is the home clashes and not the away clashes that seem to be the problem. So whats the difference in the BSPA allowing their chairmans team to sign N K Iversen for the whole season as they know that he will miss several meetings.(quote from Kings Lynns web page. There will be matches when he is commited elsewhere and which he will need to fulfil so were aware we will need to cover for him on those occasions). They do not mention if any of the matches he will miss will be home meetings but if they are whats the difference between Nielsen's and Cookie's case.None what so ever and thats my problem with the BSPA one rule for one and one rule for another.
-
You are right Cookie is good enougth to ride in Europe and on talent alone should be getting rides. There are a lot of european riders that are nowhere near as good as Cook that get regular rides in Polands 2nd division. It makes you think that they have got a problem with British riders and if Cookie can't get a team place over there what chance have other up and coming British riders got. Yet on the other hand his own country are now doing the same to him,as the BSPA seem to have a problem with Peterbourgh dropping two European riders(who could drop British speedway at the drop of a hat) to bring in two brits go figure ???.

Could i just ask you with the way the sport in Britain is at the moment do they have a choice.Including the FTR riders there are 24 Doubleing up riders in the Elite league. If they said no more doubleing up for 2017 i would think that most of the riders would stay in the Prem league mainly because there are more meetings so potentialy more earnings. Now the big Question is with more and more European riders at all leavels plus our own world champion not wanting to ride in Britain anymore where do you find the riders to replace these riders in the Elite league. Re Cookie there reasons seem crazy(ie he will miss three meetings)Cookie has doubled up for Belle vue for a good few seasons now and has missed at least three meetings for belle vue every year so whats the difference in him missing three meetings for the Panthers. All doubleing up riders miss meetings for one of there teams so whats the difference with this case.Madness.

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
B.V 72 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
All i am saying is that there is more to it than burn out.In 2005 all GP riders bar Rickardsson and the Poles were happy to do 36 + knock-out cup meetings without any talk of burn out yet the last few years 28 meetings is far to much. All i can come up with is that they now earn far more abroad than they did 10 years or so ago and no longer need the income from the Elite league. After all most people who work more than one job don't earn as much as they need to live on in their main job if they did most would not do it. -

In 2005 there were 9 GPs this year 11 in 2005 11 GP riders rode in the Elite league whats changed burn out or the money they earn ?. -
New Averages (team Line Up Changes Updates)
B.V 72 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its only just starting but it already makes you realise what a massive cock up they have made of it all this season. If a FTR can move into the 1 to 5 you cannot have protected heats it just does not work.FTR moves straight to heat leader(to be totally out classed) because of protected heats then heat leader moves to 2nd string with easier rides then 2nd string moves to reserve with protected heats.Total madness their averages over a season will be so so messed up.God knows how they are going to work out team averages for next year. I m o all they had to do was return to the old heat format to put a stop to all this noncence. -
King's Lynn V Poole 27/4/16 7.30pm (skysports)
B.V 72 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Church, they seem to be having a problem getting the crowds in as well these days.If God can't get them in what chance have speedway promoters got. -
I am not Pooles biggest fan but Matt Ford only does what the rules allow him to do of which he does very well. Now thats where the blame for uneven teams starts and finishes.First of all we know that the present heat format has totally cocked up the averages and that they have cocked it up in their attempt to put things right. Without going into detail as we have all discused the problems before ie Buzz(heatleader) we all know in this league he is. FTR(switch to Prem averages)Which somehow gives last years champs one of the best pairings. Now if the rules had been thought out properly then Poole would have had to sign a true 2nd string class rider and would have had Newman and a much weaker FTR.So if you make the said changes to the Poole team i think that most fans(excluding Poole fans)would agree that this would put Poole on a more even par with most of the other teams and make the whole league a lot more competitive.

I have never been a big fan of individual meetings and if i watch a league match on sky i still enjoy it but its not the same as when Belle vue are involved i find i support the team who's winning will help Belle vues league position. When i watch Swedish speedway even though the line ups are much stronger than in the UK i do not enjoy it as much as a British speedway meeting because the result dose not affect Belle vues league standing so it means nothing to me. So i think you have hit the nail on the head SCB with how much you enjoyed the said meeting while you were there and not so much when you watched it again. So my point is we all love to see a meeting full of passing but a big buzz while you are there is how your team are doing,a boring 5 1 can be exciting because it puts your team back into the match two boring 5 1s in the final two heats could bring your team back from the dead to win the meeting by 1 or 2 points making it a brilliant exciting meeting similar to SCBs meeting. When you watch it back its not the same or if you are a neutral then it may not be as exciting as it is for you. This is why i prefere Belle vues league meetings to any other because every heat has some meaning and if you have a passion for your club you want your team to win so boring races can have an affect on the result and so can be exciting if its going your way. And so my overall point is that if a league meeting is close you dont have to have passing in every race for it to be exciting its all about being there and how the meeting unfolds.

Belle Vue V Poole 27/4/16 Ela. The Big One.
B.V 72 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With respect to both clubs and fans just putting things in to perspective. Swindons and Coventrys Problems are something to really worry about.Swindon should have had a new stadium to move into this season but they have still not started to build it yet so at least 12 months behind not a month or so.Coventrys last season at Brandon and no sign of a new stadium being built.Makes Belle vues track problem in a stadium that is already built look small fry when you compare it to other clubs problems. -

I have a feeling that they may postpone this one.Give the track a little more time,no preasure of it being on sky, leaving the opening meeting for bank holiday monday which has more chance of pulling in a very large crowd.
