  1. I am sad to say that was the worst meeting i have seen at the NSS and i have been to them all inc the colts meetings hope tonights match is more like what i am used to watching. But my biggest whinge is saved for that £10 programme what a waste of money. The score chart is the worst i have ever seen nowhere to record the race times nowhere to write tac subs scores and nowhere to write the ind riders final score etc total bobbins.
  2. I think it was the Kings lynn management to keep him out of the top 8 and the 2017 gps to make sure that he will defo have no reason not to ride for them next year lol.
  3. As the old saying goes there is a time and a place. We all swear but knowing when and when not to is called being an adult.
  4. Dont knock British speedway a large percentage of the G P field this year and past years have the British leagues to thank for a major part in their development.Alot of them have ridden in Britains lower leagues to then progress into the Elite league, and then thats where the Polish leagues take an interest. Most Australian and American riders would not have been given a chance to be where they are today without the British leagues from what i can recall all of them have been given their first chance of league racing by a British club.So over the years that is alot of talented riders that the G Ps and poland could have missed out on. From what i can see Poland on the whole seem to only want to develop young Polish/Russian etc riders. Then throw big money at the riders that other leagues have helped develope to loar them away.So i.m.o if it was down to just the Polish league the world would miss out on a hell of alot of talented riders.
  5. You simply cannot judge the size of a normal crowd against any meeting from any club when it is live on sky.(Glasgow the exception)They are always well down as people save money and watch it on tv.Plus in Belle vues case the Wales match would have caused even more people to stay away. So if anyone wants to comment on the size of a normal speedway crowd at Belle vue or any other club they will just have to go and see for themselves when sky are not in town.
  6. I agree with everything you say.I dont think that fans will really appreciate how good the stadium and track are until they have been to a live meeting.I have just watch the meeting again on the tv and somehow it was not a patch on being there.Added to all your points above the telly just does not portray how fast the track is the racing just seemed so much slower than it is live. You just cant beat being a few meters away from the track with a great view to appreciate how fast the riders are going.
  7. Soz if i missed that your post was a mickey take. But the few others i mentioned in my post who in the past have posted the same comment seem to be serious so shall we say my post is aimed at them, and as rmc says any fool can see that they are not.
  8. Please read the post of which my post was an answer to.(quote - Good result for Poole.Just proves a PL side can beat an EL side) As my post says i have nothing against the Premier league i just think that people that say premier league teams are now close to being as strong as Elite teams and could beat an Elite team are talking rubbish.(there are a good few other posters who think the same as the quoted poster)As your post says (quote - of course they're not and any fool can see that)so you agree with my post. PS i also think that anyone with common sense can see that the whole of British speedway has serious problems not just the EL league.
  9. I have nothing against the premier league but the people who keep going on how close the leagues are now are talking B/S.Yes Premier league riders ride in the Elite league but most of them are Premier league heat leaders inc a lot of the FTR riders. So add them to the Elite league quality riders and any Elite team would wipe the floor with any Prem league team as past results have proven. So lets end this silly talk as there is no evidence to back up yours and a few others point of view.
  10. Agree with most of Fred flanges post. The delayed start the weather the starting gate problem the missing riders not really Belle vues fault these things happen in speedway. I got my head around the above problems and was impressed how well the track handled all the rain. The racing for a wet track was not that bad the odd pass and not one fall etc. But the interval really p****d me off it was the last thing the fans needed after sitting around for the 30 min delayed start in what i thought was quite a cold evening.Plus you could see a massive black cloud was nearly on top of the stadium and you just knew it was going to p it down very shortly.Of which it did and the meeting was called off and because of the interval i came away from the stadium feeling i had been robbed of a good few races, and rightly of wrongly i felt that the management had put bar and food sales before their paying customers.Of which i feel could cost them in the long run because even more fans could now stay away if it is or has rained. I will be forever greatful to our promoters for giving us a magnificent stadium but i do feel that with a little more thought of their paying customers they could run it a lot better.
  11. Sue if all the fans feel the same as most of the supporters on this thread i am sad to say i dont think you will have any luck.
  12. But we are and on the day you never know most of listed riders have never seen the track before. The Brits will have a very large crowd cheering them on.So its the best chance we have had in years so keep the faith. If every thing clicks on the night we might just kick some ass.
  13. With the long standing problems with Pooles track which would seem have not been sorted in a professional manner i think your statement could be a little of the mark.
  14. Hi steve like you i would love to see more of the top boys ride over here but the way things are going i can't see it happening. So i am trying to look on the bright side. If the leagues are forced to amalgamate from the list of riders you have provided i would think we would defo loose 6 of them. But the other 6 could still ride over here as No 1s and be the big stars in a lower league.Nilsson,Batchelor,Buczkowski,Andersen Lindgren and Harris(just a fraction over) + the likes of Kylmakorpi etc all finished last season with a lower Elite league average than Cookie who was the Prem leagues No 1 rider so if he can ride in a lower league then with some sensable average covertions they could still race over here. Again just trying to give an honest assesment of the other 6 named in your list Iversen and Doyle ride like the super stars they are.Jonsson good steady No 1.Kasprzak,Zagar and Holder have some howlers and often get beaten by the so called lesser riders which makes me think is their heart and sole in riding over here and do they bring over the same class of bike they use elsewhere. So how do i feel about about an amalgamated league.Well losing the top 6 riders will be a total bumber but i still go now even though we have lost many many more than 6 top class riders over the last few years and i still enjoy the racing. So there loss will not stop me going either i just love the sport of speedway even more big names will be missing but on the whole i would not think that the racing will be that much different to what it is now.
  15. Again you twist my words and take them out of context and use your interpretation of what i have said in your argument against me. The reason our debate started is because i said i think calling someone boring is offensive and that most people would take offence if they were called boring and you disagreed so lets just stick to that' On your side of the debate you have writen nothing that proves my opinion wrong or changes my mind(which is the point of a debate is it not). You have given me no proof that your opinion is right all you have done is twist my words to fit your point of view and call me pathetic and child like(no wonder you dont think calling someone boring is offensive). In general anyone who turns to name calling is losing the argument, From my side of the debate there is proof that i could be right as i have said before( but you dont listen) these are facts they have happened ie. R Worrall(or a member of his family) who has been called boring HAS taken offence. The update sight removed the boring comment as it was considered by them to be an offensive comment. The texter that made the boring comment has stopped texting because he does not want to offend anyone.Admiting that calling someone boring has caused offence. With that i rest my case. Also after this lengthy debate my opinion of you in my first post to you"that you go on and on till you wear someone down and they give in" has been proven right. With that in mind i give in you have now wore me down we just keep going over the same ground and there is nothing else to be said i have given you 3 eg where calling someone boring has caused problems and you have provided no proof that it dose not. You just wont admit when you are wrong so whatever you post next will not be answered i am done.
  16. You just never stop do you in my last post i said we all have different opinions and we will just have to beg to differ, that should have been the end of the conversation but no you just as always have to have the last word as your opinion is always right But if you want to carry on here we go. First of all you do twist comments to suit your point of view your last post is full of it. Anyway no matter how you twist things the main point is that it is my opinion that calling someone boring in most cases will cause offence and you think its a nothing comment and people will not be offended. You state in your last post to quote"you went into your ridiculous rant about most people being offended.. with of course no evidence to back that up".So from that comment i will try and defend my opinion by picking out the points from posts on this thread that i feel are evidence to back up my point of view. 1 the speedway update sight removed the boring comment,i would think because they thought it would cause offence. 2 the comment boring did cause offence to either R Worrall or a close family member to the point where they contacted silverbee to complain. 3 SCB thinks that silverbee has stopped updating because he does not want to cause upset. This says to me he knows that his boring comment has led to someone being upset/offended by it. So with that i rest my case.If you can find any evidence to back up your opinion then post away other than that lets put it to rest.
  17. God you go on and on Try reading the posts properly before you go on a rant.A few points, i said most people would take offence not things ie your speedway is boring remark i think football is boring the sport itself but that is not a personal remark to one footballer so who is there to take offence. You quote parts of posts to suit your point of view. The quote you used was taken from a post where i was replying to another poster not a stand alone post so you have to read both post to fully understand my comments. What has silverbee stopping updating got to do with me all i did was post my opinion on the BSF like everyone else does.I am sure as soon as he read my post he there and then decided to stop updating,Another noncence by you.It would seem if true that him speaking to a member of the Worrall family who found the boring comment offensive(shock has the same opinion as me) was the reason behind him deciding to stop. So whats the big deal about my opinion all i have said is that i think calling a person boring is offensive. It would seem that the speedway updates mods agree with me as they have removed the comment from their sight. It would seem that at least one member of the Worrall family agrees with me. So maybe you could accept the fact that not only your opinion counts other people think differently and they think they are right as well we will have to beg to differ. Just a seperate point it was SCB and not silverbee that prompted me to post my views. With silverbee not that i agree with his comment but with his sence of humour and being at a live speedway meeting could stop you realising what you are posting could be offensive to a person. But SCB started the thread on here about 20 hours or so after silverbees comments on updates caused a negative comment and a defensive comment from the meeting updater of which the comment was removed a little later. So scb new he was starting a controversial topic but just did it for the hell of it.
  18. Something boring is a subjective opinion but calling someone boring i think you will find most people will be offended. I will test the water with you this will be my only post on this subject as i find that you tend to go on and on with post after post till the other poster gets bored and gives up and then you think you are right all the time.So i am not saying you are boring because that may offend you but my subjective opinion is that your posts on this forum are. ps see post above this like i said if you call a person boring most will take offence
  19. And i would not have had an issue with scb if his comments re R Worrall were justified and i felt his comment was offensive.(there is no one on this planet that would not take offence to being called boring). I used the Cook comment to show how scb was over the top upset with a comment that whatever the reason behind it he found offensive but then had no problem starting a thread that would cause upset to another person. Back to my offensive point.Silverbee on the speedway updates forum was the original person to use the comment on the Cov v B/vue thread. Now the mods on that forum have since removed that comment as i would think that they found it like me to be an offensive comment. So it would seem that other people agree with my opinion. So if you then think that its ok for scb to start a thread in big bold letters with the same offensive comment about another human being(and a person that rides for the club you support)that another forum has removed then all i can say about you is that i disagree with your opinion.
  20. Tend to agree 7 home meetings total points 65. 7 away meetings total points 26.He does love the track it would seem its the only one he can ride.(watch this post bite me in the ass if he scores well at B/vue on Saturday lol.)
  21. Called a poster boring so have removed the post as doing so is wrong and can cause offence.
  22. People there have been many many posts on here saying that speedway is in big trouble as no one goes anymore. Then as soon as people have to queue its a disaster and everyone has a moan. The fact is queue's are good for the sport it means people are turning up to watch speedway.I would think that a lot of fans of clubs that have gone to the wall because of low crowds would be very happy to queue to watch speedway. Oh and by the way the speedway i saw yesterday was well worth queueing for.
