  1. I was refering to Bjarne. So what is unfair about it. Bjarne aquired his 6.80 point average in the reserve birth riding in protected heats against reserves and 2nd strings.Tungate aquired his average riding against heat leaders so his average was earned against better riders so making him a better rider than Bjarne at this time.On top of that Tungate has ridden at Belle vue 3 times and his lowest score was 12.If there are any fans on this forum that disagrees that this unfair change would not make Poole much much stronger i will show my ?
  2. I suppose you are not a believer in fair play then. I said fair play not rules as we all know rules can be b/s made up by idiots. What would you call it if he had signed for someone else.
  3. Yes i agree i think a grading system is the only way out of the mess they have made over the last two seasons, and i to have no confidence in the powers that be to do this fairly. i can just see now the pages and pages of digruntled fans moaning how they have got it all wrong.
  4. Yes it needs lots of work and as you say a sit down round a table for one weekend will just not cut it they are really going to have to spend a lot of time and effort to get it even half right. I will wait for the AGM with bated breath but if i am honest i dont think we will get much joy.I dont even have a clue where they will start trying to work out team strengths now they have totally cocked up the average method let alone anything else.
  5. You are right 49 pages off whining and bitching. But the truth is the rules of British speedway allow all the crap that fans have whinged about for 49 pages. So unless they tighten up the rules to stop all the things people have spent 49 pages whinging about then the sport is dead in the water. So i blame no one but the BAPA for coming up with a crap rule book that can be so easily manipulated and turning our once great sport into a joke.
  6. You are right GRW the whole rule book needs to be thrown out and started again as the Elite league is in a real mess. The presant rules are turning the sport into a joke.I have been a fan since 1972 and have loved the sport but i now find myself like many before me starting to lose my interest. The rules have now turned speedway into a circus not a sport and is now nowhere near a fair compertition. As a Belle vue fan i should be over the moon new stadium great track and a table topping team to support but i am not, re the team i think i enjoyed speedway more in the years we had a poor team then i just watched each match on its own merit and if we managed to beat a top team i would go home really happy. Now that we have a good team it has lead to us joining the play off circus where all that you have done over a season goes out of the window and the sport becomes even more of a joke as it becomes who can bring in the best ringer who can manipulate the rules to strengthen their team who can bring in a track specialist for a supposed injured rider and the list goes on.All because our crap rules allow all this to happen.Again you are right re the team being secondary i have a good team to support and i am still pd off with the sport. The rules now are the main priority unless they change them to make speedway a fair for all sport again many more fans will walk away me included.
  7. And there is the reason why Poole will be hard to beat in the play offs Top 5s not a lot in them but their reserves as a pair are far better than the other teams in the play offs.Very hard to do but if a team can keep the reserves scores close they can beat Poole. If not game set and match to Poole. eg semi final 1st leg. heat leaders Poole 34 Wolves 32. reserves Poole 17 Wolves 7.
  8. Is Starman a member of the BSPA it would help explain a lot re their decision making if he was.
  9. Re your last sentence. How can they be Kylmakorpi and Andersen are already missing. Harris could only come in for Pedersen who has a 6.90 ave.Dam it they got that wrong another 0.10 and they could have brought in Dudek.
  10. I don't blame Matt Ford at all i blame the muppets that run British speedway they don't seem to have the slightest clue what they are doing.
  11. I agree, short changing speedway fans after paying to watch speedway all year then they don't show a leg in the play off semi finals.
  12. If British speedway gets a grip of its self and, Reverts back to a format where you get true averages for all riders(for fair team building purposes instead of heat leader lists etc). Spend time on a fixture list that spreads the meetings evenly over a season. Spend time and effort on the fixture list taking note of where team members have meeting clashes and move meetings around to avoid as may clashes as possible. Really make and effort to run a meeting to a set time scale no more boring long drawn out meetings. Have a system for converting riders averages and set this in stone no changing it every year. Set a cut off date for team changes where the change will help teams to reach the play offs and not at a date when the change will just make them stronger having reached the play offs. Make the rules more simple and enforce that all clubs stick to them no manipulations will be tollerated. All these changes should not be that hard to achieve and by doing this covers most of the problems that people have with the sport. What would we moan about then.
  13. And thats why most people who turn up for the play offs have given up on league speedway and do not go throughout the season they just wait until the circus is in town. PS there is nothing wrong with the play offs Poland and Sweden seem to do fine. Its the way that we do it in Britain that is the problem. We make them a joke most years by having rules that allow teams to strengthen up to near the play offs, and changing assed rider rules to allow a rider of Lindback class in on a 7 point average.Which every fan in the country bar Poole fans know is b/s. Speedway is a sport so keep it fair and keep fans of all clubs happy the play offs will still get big crowds.
  14. I m o the play offs are no longer about sport they are about the money. So yes the BSPA are going to come up with an average for Lindback that allows him to ride in Britain just for the play offs. A G P rider should put bums on seats so potentialy more money for the sport.Sky will be over the moon to have a G P rider on there screens.Sky inject money into speedway so keep them sweet and they will keep broadcasting Elite league speedway.Hence why no other promoters put in a complaint. Only my opinion but what other realistic reason is there for Giving a rider of Linback's class an assessed 7 point average when the likes of Cook and king have achieved an higher average over a full season.Perhaps one of them should get a wild card in the GPs next year seeing as they are(as far as the BSPA are concerend)better riders than Lindback.
  15. Ok Gemini so your pet hates the messing around at the start and tractor racing.Do you agree with her lol.
  16. If they dont sort out the fixtures it wont matter how many top boys come back as most of them will be missing for a big number of meetings anyway which will p the fans off even more.First priority is to sort out the mess that is British speedway.
  17. From what i have read on this forum you hardly go anyway.Apart from the potential glory end of the season.
  18. I to have been a fan since 72 and all i can say is that my interest is dwindleing a little even though i have a great new stadium and a table topping team to support. I hope as stated that this years agm really sits down and sorts out the leagues problems because there are many. To name a few The league format that has totally cocked up the average system.A system that we use to judge true team strenghts which this year lead to the heatleader list a list made up of peoples opinions and not average facts provided over a full season.God knows how they are going to sort it for next year as this year has been a bigger mess than last year. EDrs using prem league averages as to where they are placed on the list and ignoring there form in the Elite league. EDrs in protected heats gaining an average that then moves them straight into a heatleader spot and suprise suprise they are then well out of there depth.Which leads to riders like Pederson and Tungate etc droping into protected heats where they clean up. An ill thought out fixture list that leads to riders being missing in most meetings we watch.I am sure that if they took there time and really did some research to look for clashes they could aviod a lot of them. Again with the fixture list sort one out that give us regular evenly spread out home meetings not a gap of a month and then 3 in a fortnight.I am sure this would help with the attendance keep people in the habbit and not cause them to have to pay for 3 in a short period of time and maybe making them give one a miss because they cannot afford to go to all 3. Sort out assesed averages use one system(set in stone) and not one that seems to change every year resulting in p/ing fans off. Some might not agree with this one but it really ps me off.No tactical changes any later than say 6 weeks before the play offs. Theres a few off the top of my head i am sure you can think of many more.Make the rules a lot more simpler like they used to be but set them in stone so hopefully there is very little room for manipulation. The sport itself is as great as it ever was its the rules and the ill thought out way its run that is spoiling it and making people walk away.
  19. Just to say if i had wanted my little problem posting on the BSF i would have done it myself. The only reason i posted on the Belle vue army sight was to ask Lil ace(a mod on that sight) who works in the ticket office if she could shine a light on my little problem. Just to let people know on here she was a great help. She pm'd me and said that Chris Morton had read my post on the Bva sight and was now aware of my problem(so promoters do read forums) and had contacted her to asked her to get my phone number and pass it on to him of which she did.As a result Chris phoned me himself over the weekend appologised for the problem and has assured me that the problem has been sorted. I am now a happy bunny knowing that my seat is now safe and waiting for me in what could be a sell out grandstand for the semi final. So as one poster on this thread said move on nothing to see here.
  20. This post only applies if we can manage to get past Lakeside. COME ON POOLE. if we are going to win it or loose it i want to see it happen on the track against Poole.
  21. The play offs are now i m o more about the money than the sport and with our sport run by the promoters i think they could be a little prone to bend the rules a little if they think a few big name riders will put more money into a clubs coffers and make sky sport a lot happier with the line ups etc. For me as every year passes there are more and more very ill thought out rules introduced more and more team manipulations and it is getting further and further away from the sport i once loved.I hope my mind set changes but i am sad to say for the first time in 44 years of watching speedway i am starting to see why a lot have fans have walked away.
  22. Just for my own interest a question for Poole fans. If it was Fricke and not Andersen who was injured in that crash and Belle vue brought Lindback in on 7 point average to replace Fricke(who is on the same average as Andersen) would you say no probs agree with that or would a lot of you act in the same way as when Wolves signed Woffy. As a lot of wolves fans thought that Woffy replacing Joonas was a fair swap, but now the shoe is on the other foot they now think that Lindback replacing Andersen is not. Please give a honest answer and dont quote rules/averages etc we all know that the rules in British speedway are total crap full stop. In my eyes the truth is without any spin is that Woffy and Lindback are far better riders than Joonas,Andersen or Fricke and make the teams they have signed for far stronger for the play offs than they were for the league campaign.
  23. Emil for Zagar would be a fairish swap as would Emil for Holder but how many would agree Emil for Fricke is a fair swap which is like Poole swapping Lindback for Andersen. I think Andersen and and Fricke both have a 7.15 average.
