As i see it it is Belle vue arena ltd who owe the council any money(Gordon and Morton) the debt has nothing to do with the BSPA or any new promoter. So the fight for moneys owed for this year will be between Belle vue arena ltd and the council. From what i have read on here Morton has lost his house and i would say that Gordon will be paying in some way as well so the council will get as much money back as they can off those two.Its then up to them to find new revenue from the stadium ie renting it to another speedway promoter and find other possible uses as well to generate revenue rather than leave it as a empty white elephant.

I am not a business man but would the debt be owed by Gordons and Mortons company Belle vue arena ltd.Leaving any new promoter to start with a clean sheet and work out their own deal with the council ?. Better to have a good reassessed affordable long term rent than have a empty stadium. As i cannot see many other sports interested in useing the stadium wanting to take over the high payments to buy it they would probably want to rent it as well.

under the new format with ??? being a 3 i think that team adds up to approx 56.47.
-
Sad sad news.best of luck really hope they can run in some form next year. Worrying times for a lot of clubs our sport is really in a bad way.
-
Things looking a lot brighter the very best of luck the league needs every club to be back at the tapes in 2017.
-
Gambos team against say the present Leicester team would really bring in the crowds NOT. Close competition is what most fans want not massive one sided walk overs.

To stop all this controversy Why not have simple rules stated at start of season for all clubs. No tactical changes can be made after mid July(if a rider is not doing his job said club should know by then if not before. This move should be made to help clubs reach the play offs and not be at a late stage where it can be said it is just made to win them the play offs.) Injury to number 1 replacement or Guest Injury to no2 to no5 rider replacement if a team is good enougth for a play off spot they should be good enougth to cover. This may handycap said team but all clubs share the same risk where as now if a team can bring in a stronger rider close to the play off this handycaps the other play off teams through no falt of there own. These rules would stop all claims of ringers being brought in for the play offs. These rules would stop all claims of riders being brought in on false averages to cover injurys. These rules would stop horses for courses riders being brought in. These rules would stop most of the guest riders through out the season that seem to p off most speedway fans.Your own riders will have to up their game to cover. Not ideal but injurys are part of the sport but if all clubs have simple rules to follow then a lot of the controversy in our sport could be avoided and the rules are then the same for all the clubs.

Noticed they have done some work round the outside of the pits last night not something you would bother with if you were moving out is it. Re an athletic's track there is a purpose built one just 2 miles up the road.

Its not looking that good for British speedway with what the Poles are trying to pull off.Look at your own team if the Poles do get there way most of your asset list i would think will pick Poland and Sweden and will not be allowed to ride for you.I belive that Matt is looking at Bjarne to be one of your top men as that could be the strength of the British league next year .

If you dont know what Howarth looks like hes sat 3rd in on right side of the table. Clegg was outside trying to convince Woffy that he really was a member of the team and that he could come in. (Come on in Woffy every one knows ringers are part of the sport these days.Come in and have a cup of tea)

I have no problem with changes mid season its only common sense to replace an out of form rider to keep you in the play off race. Where i do have a problem is change's on the eve of the play offs where the rules allow riders to be replaced with far better riders.(i know it did not work out for Poole but every fan knows that Lindback is a far better rider than Andersen and the intent was there to strengthen the team.)I know injurys happen and a like for like replacement would have been accepted but GP rider assessed on a 7 come on. The Woffinden/Kylmakorpi change everydody knows was a massive advantage to Wolves. I do not blame Wolves or Poole trying to take advantage of these rules because they are there to be used.i blame the poor rules that allow these changes to happen.Rules that allow teams to strenghten up just for the play offs are wrong in my opinion and need to be changed. I feel that we had 3 very evenly matched teams that were all capable of winning the play offs without any changes to strenghten the teams. They battled all season long and in the end there was nothing between them.I am not saying the result would have been any different but i do belive that the play off meetings would have been a lot closer than they were and therefore being better for every fan of every club watching. So all i am saying is that the changes did not make the play off any better all they did was cause a lot more controversy within the sport and took away even more of the sports credablity.

Will Emil be assest on a 6 with him not being a GP rider.

Maybe they know more than we do about the new reserve rules next year and is thought of as a good choice and will be their asset pick..If thats the case i think we will have a weakened league next year.Just my thoughts will have to wait and see.
-
I would think that over the 2 play off meets they pulled in around 9000 fans + sky money,food/bar take and parking for both meetings. A fair est of £200,000 in the pot might help a little IF they are having money problems.

Our promoters think you and Mr Cook are right. They have already put a sign up at the stadium.(quote) under no cicumstances will you be allowed entry unless you promise not to make any noise its not what we do at speedway. You are expected to just watch the racing fill in your programme's purchase our food and drink and go home.New comers will have to pre book seats two weeks in advance so they can be vetted to see if they are of a noisy disposition if proven so will not be allowed entry.Thank you enjoy your speedway). On a personal note i would like to apologize because even though we have a new stadium and a great track, greedy i know but i still wanted my team to win i am sorry. -
What Would You Like From The Agm

Comments from Chris Morton in Wednesdays programme. (quote)We'll have to wait to see what happens at the annual meeting because there has been talk about alterations to the structure of the league which i am not allowed to discuss. (quote)Yes we may have to deconstruct the team a bit to suit a new system. Food for thought should be a very interesting AGM. -

Chanting is part of most sports it creates an atmosphere which is sadly missing in speedway these days.I am sure every one in the stadium heared the harmless chanting it was that loud.Where i struggle is how did woffy hear all these personal insults as i did not it was to noisy so how Woffy heard them down on the track with all the other noise plus bike noise and with his helmet on i dont know. -

They are the 7 riders were good enougth to win the league. You know that bit that you have to ride as a team for a whole season to prove you are good enougth not bad for a bunch of no ones. Plus we had every right to ask who are you as we have not seen him in the Elite league for nearly 2 years we forgot who he was and i am sure he was not in the Wolves team for the biggest part of the season.Plus after last night he will forget us again for god knows how long the league and his country. If it wern't for Cardiff and the tv most fans in the country would ask who are ya because we would never see him ride. -

But Cookie has not done anything to offend the crowd to my mind Woofy has. Turned his back on British league speedway.(According to last night his much beloved Wolves.) Turned his back on the British final. Turned his back on riding for his country. Gave away his medal as though it meant nothing to him. disrespects the National anthem. So where is his passion for his country He then turns up in the British league as what alot of Belle vue fans(and others) think is a ringer just because all his other plans have gone to pot. Then reacts to the crowds first taunt in a bad way which then eggs them on to give him more. No i have not got a clue why some fans might give him a little verbal stick. All i know is that N Pedersen takes a hell of a lot more all around the world(even from other riders the little monsters) but realises that he is a top sports man and takes it like a man. -
Steve since Poole got knock out you have constantly posted crap on Belle vue threads to the point where you have become Belle vue's Gavin. Kettle pot black etc. Now he's back i hope he keeps you ocupied on the Poole thread.

And thats without the British league burning him out.
