Well soon as the text came to go on the bus , I though about it for .........1 minute and now my names on it , I'l regret it I know but what the hell its been a tough week here at Worky and the lads need all the support they can get so looks like I'l be there Boxing gloves are on for Rene, we will have to fight over that one haha !!!

So 13 points to make up back at DP is do-able might be tough but possible. But after a tough week at Worky I'm just pleased the meeting went ahead, no injuries for either team and we move onto Saturday

I have a song ringing in my ears goes a little like "Should I stay or should I go now" . I would think more than likely we will have Tero and Kyle back from injury a guest for Adam and r/r for Kenny not sure if r/r will be at 2 or 4. I won't go there regarding the track last time Comets were in town , but I had family who are Comets fans over for the Plymouth match and they couldn't believe how smooth the track looked and how much safer it looked to ride so lets just see if its the same this coming Monday when Workington come back over. Feel the same as you two sides giving their all on a decent racing track not alot to ask. Will I venture over, mmmm said I would never step foot back in there, my heart says yes but my head says no !! We haven't gone yet and we are fighting all the way to keep speedway, so no you can't have Rene back haha

Everyone is entitled to their opinion I agree, but really now is not the time to post negative comments against Workington Speedway, at the end if the day it is coming down to one thing and one thing only "Do you want Workington Speedway to close" ???? No if's and but's but its simple really . We have been given a lifeline as supporters to show that we want to keep speedway here in Worky and I for one along with many others and the guys with me this morning at the SOS rally round will not give up without fighting first . So please do us all a favour and keep your comments for another time another place . It went well thanks, we had a talk from George our WSSC chairman , who had, had a meeting with Keith yesterday. And yes for all you knockers of Worky out there Keith is like us and doesn't want to close the doors !! A few photos and interviews and the crack was very positive . We have had awful luck with the weather,injuries especially so far this season but theres still a chance . Now is the time folks lets work alongside Keith for once and if those gates rise over the next few weeks it could be a very happy winter .If we get to 1000 mark on Saturday every adult can take their entry ticket and get a fiver back. So come on get back Saturday we have everything to play for, the play-offs, 2 cup semis, and Kyle Howarth returns with possibly Tero and become the saviours of Workington Speedway SAVE OUR SPEEDWAY ---- SAVE WORKINGTON COMETS !!!!!!

Exactly Fixerman, its time to vote with your feet and get back down to DP, its up to us, we have been thrown a lifeline Lets pick up the atmosphere on Saturday and cheer the lads on we had a decent crowd earlier in the season so the fans are there they just need to come back we have Kyle back which can only mean a positive and then off down to Sheffield on Sunday to support Richard in PLRC . Well after today Pere I would just love to see this meeting go ahead at least it might give us hope that Worky can continue to end of the season , at this moment I'm not fussed on the score so long as its actually running , I'l be back on Thursday to have another look , fingers,toes,legs evrything crossed

Hopefully we get to Saturday Fixerman , I really hope Keith will try to keep going at least til the end of the season. We are in 2 semi's and the playoffs still a hell of alot to ride for as you say we need to vote with our feet , so come on you fans who have stopped going lets get behind and support the club because it certainly needs us all now . So lunchtime approaches at work and sitting here pondering over not seeing my beloved Comets race again . What a thought !!! Don't write us off just yet , 3 Comets left in the team but they will keep fighting and we will keep cheering them on , our reserves tonight could be the key and if Rene and Richard ride like they did last week we will be fine The lads that we have left will not give up and I won't give up supporting them as I'm sure plenty of other Comets fans will feel the same. Whoever finishes top of the league now will probably pick Worky as they are looking the weakest with only 3 original riders, but as Newcastle know if you can get decent guests you can still win meetings Come on the Comets, our luck can't get any worse so we can only start and go one way.....UP !!!!

Christ were you asleep during it , some of the moves tonight from the guests were breathtaking they were worth admission alone . A massive thanks must go to Michael Palm Toft and Richard Hall they gave everything and Palm Toft was quite frankly awesome !!!!! The scoreline doesn't do the racing justice A good night for Tero he was fast out of the starts chuffed for him . Fisher looked a shadow of the rider he used to be, maybe his bad accident at Peterborough the other week is still affecting him but he was outclassed by the Comets, Barker took Ashley out in heat 1 and paid the consequences with a wrist injury . A good team performance and more importantly 3 points to the tally

Agree here, we need all 3 points from our remaining home fixtures, and with Barker and Fisher in town they will take some beating tomorrow night , hopefully our guests can do a decent job because r/r has been our weakness when our reserves have struggled . Stay safe and good luck !!!!!
