  1. Oh that famous old word that solves everything SORRY, , not good enough I'm afraid. Caught out by the weather , now maybe I see it different but with racing not until 7pm/7.30pm, why the hell would you think that the sun is going to be hot enough at this time of night to dry out a track with patches and puddles ???? Friday 31st May a lovely day for the pairs, sunshine really warm, Somerset track dry as a bone when we got there and stayed that way until semi final
  2. Agree with the comments on her, absolute disgrace from Somerset speedway, how the hell can you have a waterlogged track when as @caserebels stated a boiling day !!!! Thank god we didn't make the journey all the way down there, no excuse Willowman can't blame the riders would you have bloody rode it , yous had a 5-1 in heat 1 and with Ash disqualified in heat prob nailed on another one so can you really see your riders wanted it called off, come on. The shambles that was the semi's in the pairs with the water tractor spilling all its contents on the start line and now this , my god I bet if tables were turned and it was at Workington track this happened all merry hell would let loose , you's don't deserve another crack at this meeting, Belle Vue were punished and so should you's be
  3. Agree with you here, came home feeling very deflated, a 6 point win but would have lost a point if it was the league and no where near enough to take down to Somerset tomorrow . These next two weekends are crucial league meetings , we need a fit Tero back asap , too much pressure now on Ashley having to take 7 rides with Chris still finding form after his broken wrist , I feel we are vulnerable at the minute , apart from Richard and Rene last night we just didn't look hungry enough . Stefan Nielsen needs mirrors on his bike , might stop him fencing riders, Ash and Kyle were both lucky to walk away from awful looking crashes . Oh and the celebrity guest Darcy Ward (celebrity , hahaha ) tweeting that Worky riders jump the tapes, obviously missed the heats Doyle were in that were pulled back by the Ref !!!!!
  4. You won't see Andre back at Worky, him and Richard are really good buddies and Richard is now based Chesterfield way so think its a matter of helping out for his return to Sheffield
  5. A great meeting, done the PL proud . Rosco is a nice guy but no good commentating talks rubbish and very biased, last night he was a Somerset fan , would have loved to have seen Doyles face after heat 15,
  6. Exciting meeting last night, a bit of a scare from the bears early on but the lads dug deep and done the job, well done boys , Ashley deserved more than his score for his efforts in all his races , really is coming on leaps and bounds, keep it up Ash.
  7. Looking a good forecast up in Glasgow , a big following coming for the Comets today on the bus and in cars so should be a great atmosphere , we won't have a better chance to grab 4 away points , time to tame the tigers boys ;-) Come on the Comets !!!!!
  8. Well, Redcar win at Edinburgh tonight by 1 point, need to be on the ball tomorrow boys , stay safe and tame them bears :-) Come on the Comets !!!!
  9. No way !! Newcastle have a very solid 1-7, persevere with Steve W for a little longer, you are winning home and away so why change that just yet , he will come good am sure
  10. The thing with him is if he carries on with these ridiculous starts and keeps getting disqualified the only people going to suffer is his own team, no ref will let him get away with anything like the starts on Monday , instead of his constant moaning he needs to start having a little look at the tellys !! The more he creates the more eyes will be on him
  11. He really thought last night he wasn't doing anything wrong  , I'm surprised he never touch tapes from 15m , tut tut Mr (moaning minny) Robson
  12. Pleased someone else saw the ridiculous attempt of Somerset making sure they won at all costs !!!! Decided to water the track just before the Semi,s and drown gate 3 , just so happens they didn't have that gate !! Vissing was right to feel aggrieved , strange how Lawson had same gate in second semi and ran a last too. Well never thought I would have ever been shouting for Josh Auty to win anything , haha, takes all sorts ;-)
  13. Our own reserves would have scored about the same given the Glasgow team we faced tonight, cant see Scunny reserves pulling up many trees either !! Not much you can say about the meeting, felt sorry for the Glasgow fans who had made the journey, Joe Jacobs deserves a mention he seemed the only rider giving his all. The move on Screeny in heat 15 from Richard and Rene was great . Thanks to our 3 guests who I can see are going to cause us problems when riding for their own teams. Whatever has happened to James Wright, oh dear oh dear he is the shadow of the rider who used to ride for Worky absolutely dire, his confidence is obviously shot to bits . 3 more points , well done Comets
  14. Well below the belt to slag off young BRITISH riders who are trying to ride for this country Grow Up Hey these country bumpkins would much rather watch our own 7 riders, we have no choice for christ sake in case you haven't been noticing but our own lads have been putting big points in at DP having guests is never ideal , but we have tomorrow and that's that
  15. What the hell we supposed to do , no choice but to have guests with Kyle and Ashley on international duties , and all within the correct averages we are allowed so don't know what you're moaning for !! Be nice to see some speedway with a 2 week break at DP, Come on Comets
  16. Well a really enjoyable meeting , Newcastle got their justice I'm afraid after Paul Starkes silly actions in heat 11 were disgraceful, I would have been well pee'd off if it had been us on the receiving end of the 3-3 that should have been a 5-1 . A four man team without Tully and Ludvig though it kills me to say it (Arson Fire and Tsunami take note, haha) Newcastle are the team to be very wary of this season :-)))) Mmmm Eddie Kennett not quite the signing Berwick hoped for !!!! No better than any other no 1 riding in the PL, he won't take chances has too much too lose through injury riding for Swindon and Torun , best thing you can do is get Ricky Ashworth back
  17. Haha, edited my post , the match I meant, but thats a little out of my price league for a bottle of vino in the house
  18. Looking forward to watching another entertaining PL match on the tv with a big glass of wine hope its a good one (the match not the wine)
  19. Edinburgh must be in with a shout for silverware this season, quite a few of their old faithfuls popping back up on this here forum, you wait before too long Midnight Lady will be showing face :D
  20. Thank God we have done the double over Berwick last weekend in the PL , a great signing in Kennett and hopefully will put bums back on seats at Berwick. Last Saturday was the first time I had been in about 2 seasons and couldn't believe the difference in the crowd was really low, can't fault the promotion for trying to improve things
  21. Jo Tabaka did a fantastic for us on Saturday , he rode his socks off a great little rider
  22. So the Comics (think that's what they called us) wallop the Bandits , another great team performance especially after the horrific crash in heat 1 with Morris trying to get on the back of Tero's bike , luckily it looks like Tero will be back in a couple of weeks not sure about Morris. Chuffed for Ashley on his Birthday too what an awesome night for him.Another good guest thanks to Chris Schramm, but again all the boys played their part. Such a good buzz at Worky at the minute, the away support is building , the Glasgow bus already full and a good crowd tonight. COME ON THE COMETS !!!
  23. Still sure the other two where on 1st & 2nd bend , have to agree with heat 15 was great racing
