  1. Looking a tasty team build so far Paulco, pleased for you Tiger fans, wasn't long ago it didn't look good for Glasgow speedway, love our trips across and was sad to see the crowds so low this season. Us Comets fans know only too well how it feels with the uncertainty , see you in 2014 when the Mighty Comets come to Ashfield
  2. Hopefully this is true , cheats never prosper
  3. Agree, another quality team in the making. Good Luck Richard , I think a change of track could do Rich the world of good, he will do a top job for you Bears. Roll on March, its going to be a cracker of a season
  4. Let me show you just a few of the teams that could be league winning teams Workington Ippo Newcastle Grazconek Worrall Lindgren Campton Tungate Robson Bach Risager Henry Howarth Heeps Rosen Wells Manzares Kerr Morris Ellis Schramm Mills Hawkins Rose As good as currently announced certainly not any better
  5. That looks a fantastic team, Chris has got two new bikes sorted for next season I think on his average and him being able to prepare for an upcoming season he could be a steal. In two words Dream Team !! Jenga... You need more than a superb No 1, to win silverware
  6. Obviously we rattled your feathers in the playoffs beating you home and away ))))) . Think it was 1point in KOC over two leagues against Somerset through bad luck, so dont go counting your chickens I feel egg on face !!!! Cant be seen as using favouritism two years on the trot ;-)
  7. And because Mr Harkess and Mr English are on BSPA committee Newcastle and Edinburgh get a bye automatically !!!! Funny that
  8. Be shocked if its Worky for Cook , think he will be Edinburgh bound with a change in EL team
  9. No Chance there Jenga , average way too high
  10. Totally agree here, the League should be the start of the season with the playoffs, and KOC/League cup to finish off. Such a shame for all teams to fight it out all season to end on such an anti climax like this , what a farce, same with the EL, look at the dissapointment of the Brummies/Poole final , the track was awful and produced a mediocre meeting . Really needs looking into at the AGM
  11. Agree here, the clubs who didn't get in the top six are all but forgot about too, the hype for the title has all but gone, as the weeks drag on, , the playoffs for the league and title should be more around September , and league cup/KOC could finish the the season with creating a bit more excitement for all clubs. I'm passed caring who actually wins now , most threads on here are about teams for next season. If, and its more than likely Somerset go through tomorrow tonight , Edinburgh wont run the 1st leg tomorrow so thats next Fri and squeezing the 2nd leg before the cut-off, crazy!!! Takes the buzz away imo
  12. Yep he is, heard him telling quite a few fans at PLRC that he was selling up come the end of season and had a job back home. He has lost alot of money this season. Such a shame he did a fantastic job for Worky early on the season
  13. Didn't hear much of the first interviews, so missed what Richard had said. Maybe a change for both parties will do Richard the world of good, if he wants to stay at Worky then fair enough I would have him back , if not I wish him well wherever he ends up at. The top two on my list for 2014 would be Kyle and Rene . With it being Rustys testimonial next season would be fitting for him to be in Comets colours again, definately makes a decent second string as he as shown in the latter of the season at 2 and 4. All depends on the annual meeting and what points limits are decided. Going down to 38.50 as some have said could see alot of big hitter no'1's moving up to EL. Would much prefer a more even 1-7 as Birmingham have showed this season, they have had 4 riders in the no 1 bib , but a strong side right through . Heres to Workington Comets 2014 , whatever team we end up will get my full support !
  14. Oh bugger !!! How about Ashley Morris , I'm sure he would fit Adam Ellis's average Come On You Witches
  15. Alot of pressure at No 1 in this meeting now for Rene, expecially knowing what it means for his own team the Comets . Obviously Barker keeping himself for his elite team on Monday . Mixed feelings about the match with only a patched up Ippo side I have a feeling the Moanarchs will relish on their misfortunes and gain something if not everything . Stay safe Rene, Come on the Witches !!!!
  16. I hope you can too . Come on you Witches !!! Give Barker his due he is a fighter , watching him ride last night he deserves credit where its due with the broken bone in his hand and still managing the wins/overtaking. Finishing 2nd in the PL might just keep the Witches guys fighting to finish their home season on a high A Witches fan for the night, Mr Snackette you would be proud of me
  17. Congrats to Newcastle , but agree with their fans, took the edge of winning to a depleted team gave up on the updates half way through not good to watch . Ipswich suffered terrible luck over 2 nights , hope Tungate,Barker, Lanham have speedy recoveries, speedway can be so cruel sometimes.
  18. Workington are hosting 2 rugby World Cup matches in the coming weeks not sure what days they are on . Now Baldyman my friend please get your guys going on Thursday to beat Mr Invincible & Co for us 😉. I am sure Ipswich lying second in the PL wouldnt want to end in the playoffs with no points 😳 . Come on Ipswich witches ... who would have thought I would have ever shouted those words , hahaha !!
  19. A fantastic night of speedway , sore throat today 😊 Ipswich pushed us all the way fair play to them they put up a fight , Risager the big let down for them . Great to see the lads after heat 15 you could see how much it meant to them , we were the big underdogs coming into these playoffs and with pure determination the lads have done us proud . Now I know I give you Ippo fans some stick but I will be cheering you on come Thursday , lets hope you ride for pride and do us Comets fans a massive favour 😉 Wishing Rohan a speedy recovery that was a horrific crash , best wishes to him We Are The Comets - We believe 😉😊
  20. Great effort guys , we pushed them but lost a bit of steam in the last few heats , probably the best performance for us round the Dump for a while. Onwards an upwards still all to play for, we need all 3 points tonight and then it could be left in the arms of the Gods
  21. Might learn him to sit his backside still then at the tapes , you seem to have overlooked the rolling start from none other than the saint himself Barker in heat 13 still karma prevailed in heat 15
  22. Totally agree with the smug Suffolk folk ;-), still a tough ask at Armadale but I'm sure we will put up a fight
  23. I know, been a long night on the Worky chat room live updates, need something to take it out on , lol
  24. So the two underdog teams go and make a huge upset tonight, and the PLPO format needs looked at !!! Some people think their teams just need to turn up , just like Ippo tonight, how wrong were they. A Worky-Redcar final , mmmmmm, now that would shut a few up especially the ones further south ;-)
