  1. Agree there LL, we diving down the table only having ridden 9 matches , we need all the points we can to start the climb back up, no PL meeting again nxt week so a must win. Not ideal with R/R and two guests , hopefully Fox will prove better than previous guests to take bit pressure off Simon having to take 7 . Good luck Guys Come on the Comets !!!!!
  2. Thats the way its gone all season for the Smugs, B4E , makes such a difference if luck goes your way, they'e had no injuries to deal with and not many missing riders due to commitments. For the seond time this season I'm with the Bandits for this one
  3. And another possible great guest for the Comets , Kasper has become quite popular in the comets bib, his performance and effort at Rye was top notch and he was lined up for us last weekend . A very decent pairing at reserve
  4. Going by the silence up until heat 15 on thursday, not anymore MM
  5. What's with the fancy writing ! Erm my thoughts it's pee'd down most of the day here in Worky so unless you wanted to bring ya boat , correct decision
  6. No I'd gone Toilet Far too young for me to remember the 70's and 80's . Probably one of the rare Worky fans that was pleased with a point , 5 riders I'm not complaining hence why I was still singing , Lord Lucan has his own opinion so back at ya Mr M . Us travelling Worky fans are the loudest bunch around and will continue to be so for the rest of season
  7. Getting a lot cooler here in Worky , my rain dance might just be working ;-)
  8. Not an excuse , but at Redcar , the bears pulled it back with a tactical and a few heats with us having to field 1 rider , oh and the strange watering past gate 4 and the bends before heat 15 , riding against a full home team with 5 riders done bloody well to keep the score to two !! Over the course of two nights we have had really poor guests who when you are already carrying r/r just can't do it against full teams especially edinburgh who are riding the quest of the wave on confidence . Workington not the only team on paper that look the business but for some reason it's just not working , Newcastle, Sheffield another two teams it just doesn't seem to be working. Speedway is a sport you need a bit of Lady Luck along the way but that's speedway . Workington need to get that fighting spirit back in their bellies , they can do it they showed that at Rye house and Redcar , (should have been a lot worse with five riders ). We live to fight another day ,you can't give up just have to soldier on !! Right I'm off to make a cuppa and do another rain dance , riding with 4 riders ,2 guests and good old r/r could lead to more heartache tonight Are you still pissed , please use spell check , lol !!!
  9. Mmmm think you will find I posted this before it was announced by our management ,
  10. And thats coming from a Newcastle Fan , hilarious
  11. Give es a C, an O an M an E a T and an S Who took a point away from a 7 man Redcar team who needed a tactical .................THE COMETS Still singing here marra Nice tactic in heat 15 though soaking gate 4 where Josh Grajczonek was coming out of Level on league points but the Bears have double meetings as the Comets, see ya later alligator
  12. Liam Carr ?? Simon Nielsen on Workingtons Official Site
  13. Exactly !!! It stinks how can you get a guest for an injured rider who was managing to knock a few moves out in Walkabout on Friday he's as injured as me , right beside me so yes I was there before some clever so and so asks . Another bad night at the office for the Comets, but one consolation we don't get beat by Edinburgh, we'l let Peterborough suffer that
  14. Hey no need to drag me into it, I haven't posted on this thread until now . I just sit back and read all the others comments about Rough Park with the odd like here and there . Haven't had much to comment on really after all lest we not forget that the Comets beat the Diamonds in the PL fixture
  15. Think Somerset used the weather as their Get of Jail free card here, after travelling since 9.30am we passed the track at 9.05pm and all roads were dry , yeah the forecast looked poor most places but having no rain all week and even on Friday wasn't forecast til after 4pm , think calling it off at 9am was premature to say the least. Agree with Arson Fire here, its all too easy to call off a meeting on the strength of a possible rain off, especially when the hosts are missing two key riders. And Willowman wonders why Somerset leave a bitter taste in my mouth !!!! I bet you next Friday I'l be standing under my bloody umbrella for 3hours to watch the PL Pairs
  16. First visit to Rye house last night and hopefully not my last. A great bunch of fans who made us Worky fans feel very welcome and the lovely man (can;t remember his name) who took 4 of us onto centre green to watch the action, you are a credit to your team and going by all posts on here its about time your promotion stopped taking you for granted. I really hope it turns around for you guys and Rye House doesn't become another team lost to British Speedway. A great performance from Worky didn't think we would come away with a scoreline like that, we were chuffed to bits and had a very happy Supporters bus on the long journey home Well done Comets and best wishes to Rye House for the future
  17. Have a little look at Rene's score last night at Rye, and Worky the week before, team change my backside I personally would prefer ANYBODY but the Monarchs to win
  18. Weather looking naff in morning but sun to break thru around 4pm leaving a pleasant night , hopefully !! These rain offs are killing the season , 1 away league match and it's bloody July 😡😡 end of season gona be pretty congested just in time for weather turning again !!
  19. Mmmm, maybe with one exception then when he has Comets bib on, Ive shouted at him more than enough this season at Worky,
  20. Well I can't promise but I will try , I'm hoping we keep it closer than our last visit to OTA, Somerset are pretty dominant on their own track. Thanks, a long journey down then onto Rye House on Saturday. Yes two visits in two weeks but luckily only having to travel across from Cardiff for the pairs . Safe meeting for all riders, best of luck boys
  21. Maybe not quite !! , No Morris and Vissing in for Ricky Wells, Kasper Lykke Nielsen replaces Ash Morris, and this time they will have the Southern Tour supporters club bus cheering them on, and by god can we make some noise . Maybe my good friends on here, Willowman, Womble53, Najer, Starman will buy me a pint of Somerset Cider
  22. Best of Luck Glasgow , with our very own Mason Campton at reserve for you, you just never know, Mr Worrall no longer taking his 7 rides , Cook will be Cook but the Tigers match the rest of Monarchs imo
