Redcar V Workington Sgp Cl
Taylorj replied to Norfolk Bear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Absolutely chuffed to bits with our fully deserved win, Redcar were never in front from heat 1 and our boys battled all the way to the end !! Come off it, we were stood close to the start line and Garrity got flyers in at least 2 of his heats , pulled back twice and was rightly excluded. Ref was consistent, Matt and James were both pulled back when they jumped the start. I really do think that the form Matt is in at the minute he would have been on par with Perks , who didn't pull up any trees at Workington, and a bit of karma for the Wright stuff after the carry on made before heat 15 at Workington Redcar were my Dark Horses this season and for us to win last night convincingly from heat 1 , just goes to show not to write our boys off just yet Finally a thank you to your new promoter who congratulated us and thanked us for travelling over as he walked by, very nice gentleman -
Workington V Berwick 13/05/17 19:00hrs Champ
Taylorj replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The scoreline flattered Berwick tbh , apart from Morris who was lucky in 13 when Cookies chain snapped and Howe the rest were pretty average , not sure Bridger would have made that much difference to pull back the 13 points . Letting his team down on route to a meeting , bad form that!! Our boys really starting to click into place , with either Mason,James or Matt at reserve throughout the season and Cookie at the helm , backed up by Ty and a Thomas and Rob trying his hardest ,still long way to go ... keep it up boys , well done !!!! -

Edinburgh V Workington Ch 5/5/17 @ 7.30pm
Taylorj replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Haven't heard he's not going to Edinburgh Never an easy place to go and especially without Cookie...hopefully we can push the Monarchs like we did Glasgow and I'l be happy Coming on bus for this one , Come on the Comets -
Scraping a win at home and no points on the road and you could see Glasgow in the mid-table , so I wouldn't be counting your chickens just yet , from what I watched yesterday Glasgow looked no better than what we did , oh and them average riders you talk about scored as many as Four of your average ones

I love your comment "No way should Workington ,Cook apart " why the hell not, it showed yesterday Glasgow heat leaders scored 34 of your 46 points ....Bewley,Perry, Lunna are no better than Mason,Adam,Matt . Glasgow might be up there but if your other 4 don't come to the party you will struggle especially on away tracks where as we ran you to a last heat decider and took a point . When Richie was getting interviewed after the meeting his words were when asked about Edinburgh "Be fine they aren't as strong as these lads today" and that's from of your top men Be interesting to see how the Monarchs do next Sunday ...wink wink

Sheffield V Ipswich, 13-4-17 Championship @7-30pm
Taylorj replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done Sheffield didn't expect that margin Loved the comment on updates at heat 15 So going by the fans table in the Speedway Star ...Workington to finish 10 !!! Wake up SGB Championship (54-37 result Saturday) ...Workington Comets mean business -
Well well well, just goes to show you can throw all the money in the World into a team but still doesn't get you prizes 2 down and one to go and the wheels have come off for Glasgow , Newcastle a tough opposition in the KOC . Well done Sheffield Tigers , think you have just brought Mr Dickson well and truly back down to earth . Best of luck in the final !!!

Workington V Somerset (pl) 19:00hrs 03/09/16
Taylorj replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Your right there Steve, rumour being Redcar couldn't come until 1st October due to not being to field a full team until then -
Whats the point of complaining, speedway is a joke at the minute , if Panthers were going to field a full team those 2 meetings would have been on yesterday, its not bloody rocket science . Call off Saturday and then put a picture of a flooded KL track in the paper dry all day Sunday too. Total Farce

Workington V Scunthorpe Pl 11/6/16 6pm
Taylorj replied to Comet Dan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Alex Davies made a complete idiot of himself most of the night!!! The incident with the Marshal was disgusting and he should have been thrown out of the meeting . Workington Comets don't make the rules as the stadium belongs to the Rugby so why should morons be able jeopardise our lease, theres plenty of room to clear the track without going over the white lines to the pitch Not sure why he came round for a wheelie after heat 14......Ryan Blacklock a NL rider had just whooped his backside and left him standing -
Sheffield Vs Worky Pl 02/06/2016
Taylorj replied to Tigerish's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pretty much the whitewash as last Satruday at Worky when Sheffield were very poor, so with a team full of guests and r/r , we didn;t do as bad I thought tbh. Very even over the two meetings , Workington were no worse than, apart from Bates a full Sheffield team last Saturday -
Sheffield V Glasgow Pl Thurs 12th May 2016 @19-45
Taylorj replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done Sheffield -
Interesting tweet from Davey Watt yesterday "Don't see how its right that someone with a higher average than me can sign in the PL but I can't just because he did PL last year and I didn't" ........mmmmm and all blocked today
-
Thats nice of you Coomie, I and a few of the WSSC can't make the meeting tonight but the Workington Speedway Supporters Club will be down for the league meeting the night before the Fours weekend Safe meeting to all, will be a toughie as Somerset have hit the ground running. Our boys need to keep this close for the return leg back home If we can keep it to 10 or below we should be okay #Webelieve2016

Edinburgh V Workington Pl 22/4/16 @7.30pm
Taylorj replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So the weather looks okay then Mr Blobby , setting off around 4.15pm. My first visit back to Edinburgh for quite a few seasons now. Come on the Comets -
Hey you are quick, he's nearly double Masons average In my Opinion Mr Arson . He messed Peterborough around last season, opting for the "higher" league meetings . 18 might explain him kicking the fence in his paddy . Maybe he just needs to remember he should walk before he can run. Theres alot of hype surrounding him , nothing against him , I hope he does prosper into a valuable GB rider, but at the minute thats what I think

Redcar Bears V Workington Comets 14/4/16 7:30pm Lc
Taylorj replied to Comet Dan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Spot on there Halifaxtiger, we set off last week , luckily hadnt got far , 20mins from the track tonight . We won't be spending anymore money on this meeting so as you say Redcar Speedway are the losers and the state the sport is in , clubs need fans through the turnstiles . Got a lot of good friends at Redcar , really feel for them having to put up with that shambles . It should have been called off this morning -
