If both teams can't field their own 1-7 then imo don't run it until they can..unfair for either team to field a guest for the sake of getting a fixture in , its not as if there are loads of meetings this season

So I take it Glasgow can field their 1-7 , otherwise Workington would have been told to go forth and multiply, that's a certainty

In his day ....at 1 point .... get a grip , we not talking about years ago, we are talking about Workington Speedway we have today that's what matters and if you two keep carrying on we won't have it much longer

You to really don't get it do you !! you might have gave time and money over the years but Workington Speedway needs all the support now to keep us running. Teething problems the first week with food/café, but we went and spoke to Steve personally, not hide behind computer names and plaster it all over this Forum over and over and over you're still going on about it We go every week pay our entry money just as you do Scaramanga, oh and run the Workington Speedway Trust , sell programmes, 50/50 tickets, anything we can to help keep our Speedway unlike you that finds every opportunity to come on here and find faults, moan,criticise. You go on any thread on here and you won't find two people like you slagging their speedway/promotion off ...Give it up !!!!!!!

You need to be worrying more about the rest of your team , bar , Wells and Riss the others pretty average ! Ty is allowed to ride in the UK, he’s riding for Kings Lynn , I’m sure Tony Jackson would have looked into the rules of 2018 before getting the guest in , riding under protest ... yawn !

A very enjoyable meeting , a decent crowd and a great over Edinburgh . A few iffy starts , Erik Riss loves a roll and Ricky making his usual flyers but got away with it . The score flattered Edinburgh for me , Wells and Riss are keeping this team afloat , so when Edinburgh meet with the likes of Ippo, Glasgow, Sheffield with a really strong No.1 they going need the rest of the team to come to the races or they could struggle. Our boys all played their part , Rene struggled with his starts but it’s early days , Rasmus was brilliant. The other lads all chipped in too, Nikolai,Dan . I think we would have been better with our own no.3, Ty, Charles was the usual guest , can’t see him riding the same when Sheffield come to Worky. Young Kyle Bickley is on the pace , once he builds his confidence , he will be fine at this level , learning all the time . BWD a fab guest let’s hope he’s covering Mason on more than this occasion All in all its great to be back !

Let’s hope the weather stays okay 42 rain offs already , unbelievable!! Making the trip up if my Bank Loan comes through .. bloody hell its an expensive night up there , entry fee , programme , think I’ll take a packed lunch and pinch a look at someone else’s programme .. lol ! Not sure why I put myself through going to the trick track in the league with massive home advantage but our boys are capable of keeping it close to finish the job back at DP on Saturday Good Luck boys

No, its just the date our League campaign starts, all meetings prior are for Championship Shield (league cup)

Ellis would a be great temporary replacement for Mason, such a shame he never got a team place this season .. Hopefully Mason will be back soon and no complications, he stood out in the Cumberland Open , if we could get guests like BWD each week till then I’m happy to wait ,if we have to , our first League meeting 18th May still a few weeks off yet

Bet your eating your words now Midget , it’s absolutely pee’d it down all day here in Workington and I’m 10mins from the track so the right decision was made , still coming down , damned if you damned if you don’t . Plenty would have been on here whinging had they called it off this afternoon after looking at the forecast

Might not make any difference, light rain now forecast all day . This weather is awful , was looking forward to a weekend of Speedway but looking doubtful

Not sure what you mean by power Jenga , I don’t know what the issue was, I’m grandstand side so can only comment there, first night , new catering , the food was bad , myself along with others gave constructive criticism, i know it’s getting looked into so as far as I’m concerned I’m more bothered about the Speedway and whats happening on the track . Barring Scunthorpe and Newcastle I can’t say I’ve been anywhere that’s a la carte food

As for keeping the arguments going , not really just pointing how boring listening to your drone is on here day in day out .
