  1. 2 full cars heading up to Armadale, I think the Tigers will be pretty safe progressing to the semi's on one of the specialist tracks with a massive home advantage. Wells and Riss will be nigh on unbeatable , we never really do very well up there but hopefully our boys prefer it a little more than Lakeside
  2. Good luck to the Bears (my 2nd favourite team ) , some great signings there, making you a lot stronger after the awful luck with injuries , and with our very own Ty Proctor . All the makings of a good meeting
  3. Hi Paulco, that came from a Glasgow fan at Worky on Saturday who seemed to be in the know. Saturday was a decent crowd especially in the Grandstand. I think because DP is a lot bigger than some places , it looks emptier than it actually is
  4. I’m sure Klindt had a white/yellow helmet tonight there’s bound to be rider out there who actually wants to ride for his team
  5. And that makes it okay surely if Rene ain't getting paid then the other 6 wouldn't be either ? Yet Ty, Dan, Mason rode their backsides off last week , its us fans getting short changed paying for hotels/diesel/entry fees to go and support the boys for them not put the effort in !!
  6. Doesn't look like its only Workington being affected , Sheffield fans weren't happy last week when we were down , they had only had 2 home meetings too..crazy really through no fault of the Promotion/riders/fans .. another 3 weeks after this Saturday without a home meeting . I'm sure with the visitiors being Glasgow on Saturday and if we win we progress to the next round of the Shield, Laura should get a good crowd...lets pray for this weather to stay
  7. Another tough contest for the Comets, we really need Rene and Nicolai doing better than they did at Sheffield , I feel we could have taken 3 points if they had put another few points in 5 points on the road so far this season, more than we have got collectively over the last 3/4 seasons. Quite funny reading other teams seeing us as tough competition considering we were down to come 10th at the start of the season Keep it up boys we doing okay
  8. get yourself over, very interesting team riding indeed weren't we fab we won because we were the better team on the day , quite simple really . Mason vs Sarjeant .....mmmmm I know where my bet lies
  9. Heading down tomorrow for an overnight stay,to start the Bank Holiday , hopefully our boys can keep it close, best of luck to Mason on his return he's certainly getting some stick to prove himself as he did in the Cumberland Classic at Workington. Not sure which way this will go tbh , 2 great away wins but things didn't workout against Scunny last Friday so never take anything for granted , Sheffield haven't set the World alight yet so possibly even teams from the offset Good Luck Boys !!
  10. Weeds a lot better jenga but was pretty rough , they were bouncing around bends 3 & 4!
  11. Apart from Harris , didn't see many of your others performing the other Sunday , the track caught a few too, with Rasmus and Dan's steel shoes full of dents it was pretty rough out the there . But I do believe we deserved the points . Lets not forget BWD scored only 4 in our last Home meeting whereas Mason was on fire in the Cumberland Classic so we will see what next week brings
  12. Well done Bears .. We had to watch him all season last year ..good luck with that one
  13. Jesus Jenga....you really need to get something to take up your time other than posting on here ...the management know a hell of a lot more than you, with rules/regs , just suck it up , we have 2 guests , a full team to go to Scunny.. you will be asking for personal updates next
  14. Geoff, Saturdays meeting has already been postponed announced on Sunday on Comets Facebook page
  15. I'm so pleased for Laura and the Promotion, she has put so much time, effort ,money into keeping Speedway at Workington. And us fans too, been years since we travelled to an away meeting and felt like we did after Sunday Its very early season but we will enjoy it while we can. Attendances were really good the previous couple weeks , hard to get the momentum going at Home with crowds with the fixtures the way they are but hopefully once June/July kicks in she will get a lot more down to support the boys
  16. But aren't we doing well hopefully next Thursday might be the night at Sheffield, when we have Mason back
  17. No I never missed out Kyle, 5 boys, Adam and r/r is 7 riders when I went to school !! Keep up Jenga
  18. Well , I didnt expect that result , but what a performance from our 5 boys and a good guest in Adam .. i’m so chuffed ..woohoo so much for your amazing no.1
  19. Just seen that's the re-arranged fixture I haven't in my diary
  20. Not great Geoff, feel sorry for Laura and Jacko must be a nightmare sorting guests out !! We are without Dan Bewley and BWD I think next weekend for our Scunny fixtures , hopefully we can field our 1-7 for Sheffield away on 24th May. From what I can see we don't have another Home meeting until Saturday 23rd June which is 5 weeks after next Saturday !!
  21. And your point is ? Surely if a team think they are stronger going with r/r they will go with that choice rather than a guest , lets hope the weirdos and losers from the North West do a bit better than your 51-39 predicition
