  1. Nailed on home win for me , cant see any other result
  2. . If David & Kozza both have ambitions to race on the continent next year it's doubtful if we'll see both back at Berwick next season
  3. The size and the distances involved in the USA , NZ , Aus & SA have a lot to do with the fact that league racing never caught on .Also speedway in all of those countries is very much a minority sport even more so than it is in this country
  4. Can't say that I'm too disappointed to be missing this one . Looking at previous Bandits visits I can only see a fairly easy home win
  5. should be an easy win for the guys in black and gold , but with Berwick you never know we've been known to struggle against the supposed weaker teams , but I still think the guys will get the job done . Unfortunately I'll miss this one as I'm currently on holiday on my annual summer speedway tour
  6. I'll be heading to this one for sure , looks like it should be cracker .I think Newcastle will win but maybe only just
  7. Have to agree with Paulcos' comments on this meeting , it was the start of my holidays tonight so I went to this one . The Monarchs never looked like winning this one and The Diamond Geezers were worthy winners .
  8. What makes you think it only " The Jocks " who will be watching ? First of all Celtic have a large fan base from all over the UK , secondly Premier is an Irish based channel so showing a live football match featuring a team with a massive Irish following live is a no brainer is it not ? after all its all about viewing numbers is'n it ?
  9. I found myself a little bit underwhelmed or even disappointed after last nights meeting possibly due to all the re runs and various stoppages , what had the makings of a decent match turned into a bore off .The Scorpions were pretty much a disappointment Josh Auty being the only rider worth a mention . For Berwick , Kozza was the pick of the bunch and only a missed gate in heat 1 probably stopped David B from probably getting a paid max , Edward Kennett didn't look like a rider who you would pin your world cup hopes on I can only hope his form improves before the Kings Lynn semi . As for the problems on the exit of bend two , this as been an issue for a number of seasons now with quite a few riders coming to grief there in the past. Just as an afterthought will the return of Ricky be the only team change ? or will there be another rider coming in ?
  10. If in doubt , ask the person next to you speedway fans are friendly folk and I'm sure they will be only to happy to help you out
  11. Back in the day the stop press on the back of the Sunday Post was how I found out the result of a Bandits meeting if I wasn't there
  12. Another one we let slip away , ah well that's the way it goes
  13. some of the racing may not have been the greatest , but a win is win as they say and they all count , well done Berwick
  14. Don't know what other options are available ,don't think that there's really that much that's going to make us any stronger
  15. Buxton V Dudley off due to weather , Paul Starke for Barrett ?
  16. Cracking all round performance tonight , great to see Matty Weathers pick up his paid max . Ben Barker is worth the admission alone great ride in ht 13 , when may guests would have been happy to settle for third place he wound it on and went for it . The change of bikes in ht 14 obviously worked for Paul as he was a totally different rider . Plymouth by and large were pretty disappointing and must be kicking themselves at missing out on at least a point . Hopefully Kozzas ear infection wont be too serious and we get some good news about Nicki
  17. Both teams are in need of wins so it should be a decent meeting , hopefully the weather will behave and the match will go ahead . I should make it through for this one after missing their meeting earlier in the season.
  18. Looking forward to this match should be some decent action with Roynon , Cooper, Dyer and Fricke in the line up
  19. I enjoyed finally getting back to Saturday night racing last night after our enforced break due the GP at Cardiff and our Tv match. Last night saw a decent all round performance from Berwick with everyone chipping in . Ben Barkers' class shone through and the Witches have him ( and Morten to a lesser extent ) to thank for their point his efforts helped to keep them in the hunt , also for the visitors it was good to see Risager overcome his past problems at Berwick . A good close meeting with some decent racing and a last heat decider that went our way for a change ,what's not to like ? Personally I'd prefer it if we could claim all the points by heat 14 and remove the nervousness of going into a last heat decider they're great if you're an away fan but not so good for the home fans .
  20. Hopefully we'll see a far better performance from The Bandits this year from when lost to the Witches last season
  21. First of all well done to the Diamonds on their win. It seems its back to square one for the Bandits as their inability to make a decent start proved to be their Achilles heal yet again , saying that despite the result I enjoyed the match there was enough decent action and controversy to keep everyone happy. I've just watched it back on Sky + and thought it came over well plenty of positive comments from Nigel lets hope the Sky cameras remember to come back , Finally a massive well done to all involved for putting on a great show
