  1. This was always going to be a tough match for Berwick , without some Va Va Voom it's now even harder , I'm sure Craig Cook will find things a lot more to his liking this Saturday night after his adventure in Cardifff last weekend , I'd expect Matej Kus will be a very busy man . If Berwick can manage a win I don't think it will be by enough of a margin to see us taking enough of an advantage to the second leg , however looking at the forecast on the Met Office site it could berry doubtfully if we see any racing
  2. I don't think that Andrew Tully any intentions of returning to racing , I believe he's been in Oz for while
  3. Can any Robins fans tell me if there are any plans to stage a meeting on the 24th July in place of the Brummies match ? I heading that way on holiday and had planned to go to the meeting , I 'd like to know as I need to book some accomadation , Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
  4. The version by The Jam is a cover version , The Kinks recorded the original
  5. Mole helped to revive Workington , Long Eaton & obviously Birmingham
  6. Cant see anything but a home win here , as Screm says above Barker & France will need some back up if this isn't to be a massacre
  7. Biting the hand that feeds them ?
  8. Great ride from Vissing to cover him and keep Barker behind him
  9. If the current company is liquidated then any creditors will be lucky to get 10 p in the £ , just ask the creditors of the football team formerly known as Glasgow Rangers
  10. Good to pick up a win after last weeks debacle , even if it wasn't the greatest of meetings with most races more or less decided after lap 1 , however Claus did produce an excellent ride in ht 13 to keep Ben Barker behind him . I am slightly confused about the managements reluctance to use Matej Kus in hts 11 & 14 this may have backfired on us and let Plymouth escape with a point , tonight we got away with it the next time we might not be so lucky , anyways hopefully that should fill the lads with some confidence as they head to Redcar on Thursday night
  11. Yup , that's my point , you don't need to be an ex speedway rider or have any knowledge of speedway bikes to be a successful team manager
  12. Mr & Mrs Drury obviously could see the writing on the wall and got out before the smelly stuff hit the fan , with their reputation still intact
  13. Rob Lyon is an ex pro Darts player actually
  14. Personally I don't think that a team manager needs to be an ex rider , I may be wrong but I don't think that Davie Fairbairn , George English or the late Ian Thomas ever lifted their legs over a speedway bike in anger and they have all done a decent job as team manager IMHO
  15. We're an equal opportunities club don't you know
  16. surely the BSPA ad the other home organisations must have got something for selling the rights to their respective GPs to BSI ?
  17. Of course they do , the TV deal brings in cash not all of goes to Terry Russell , more important to know is what happens to the money from the GP? , in the days of the one of finals every club got a share of the money but, now how does British Speedway get from The Cardiff event ? and where does it go?
  18. I'd agree with that , poking fun at Dick is just a bit of fun The track was just like a home from home for them last night nice and deep with plenty of shale on it
