Tough start for The Bandits. Let's hope that the weather gods behave themselves and we can finally get the season started at Sheffield -
BERWICK v REDCAR (KO Cup) Saturday, April 1st
DSC67 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tough one to start the season with , The Bandits may win this but it's al going to depend on the first leg and what sort of deficit they have to pull back. I can't make this one due to a prior commitment, hope it's a decent meeting with no injuries and it's not too cold . -
Discovery Plus or BT Sport?

Rebranding of Bt Sport -
There's going to be a lot of tough choices for people , Speedway is getting to be expensive and money is tight at the moment. I've had a season ticket for a few seasons now but I'm unsure weather I'm going to renew this coming year .

It would be nice to finish the season off with a win , in what will probably be my last visit to Shielfield this season -
I felt they'd do ok at home , and that's what keeps most of the punters happy

Wasn't expecting much from this meeting, but I thought it would be a better than this

Will the license not be returned to the BSPL

I used to have BT sport but binned it a while back , MotoGP was the only thing I really missed . I'm hopeful that MotoGP will move to Eurosport and join WSBK and British Superbikes along with Speedway. Making it the channel of choice for two wheeled action

BERWICK v OXFORD (Championship) Saturday 23rd, 7pm

I think I got that prediction wrong. I expected a lot closer meeting than that one turned out to be , some cracking racing throughout the meeting despite the scoreline with Chris Harris already a contender for heat of the year -

Going to need to put plenty water down with this breeze. Oxford might grab a point here tonight -
BERWICK v OXFORD (NDL) Saturday, April 9th (7pm)
DSC67 replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
Decent enough meeting , with some good racing on what was a pretty night so thankfully there wasn't too many delays . The Bullets look like they'll be pretty decent at home . Oxford have a couple of decent riders in their line up and could be a match for most teams -
And those are the only numbers that matter

The GP's are definitely on Eurosport 2 it's been advertised at least 6 times today during the coverage of the Superbike racing

BERWICK v BIRMINGHAM (Championship) April 2nd 7pm

It would be nice to start the season with a nice comfortable win with no dramas , but as we've seen in the past Berwick have a habit of making things difficult for themselves. I still think we've enough to win with a bit to spare . 54-36 -
Shocked and saddened to here this news , I met Jim a few times on my trips down to BP , he was a great guy and will be a big miss to all those who knew him R.I.P.

**** Van and Bikes stolen in Middlesbrough ****

I don't know what the market is for second hand engines , carbs and the like is , but I'd imagine it's going to be very small , speedway is a niche sport the parts aren't interchangeable with other bikes they're bound to turn up somewhere. The tools etc will be very easy to get rid of though -

I assume he'll be riding on a British License -
I think the Polish authorities don't allow them to in order to avoid fixture clashes so that they don't miss any Polish matches

Any team with Scott Nicholls in it is always going to be tough , I'm sure that Paul Starke will still remember his way around Shielfied too , if Batchelor is in the mood then it could be a hard fixture , The Bandits will need to show the same form and attitude as last Saturday night to grab the points
