Is TJ a Scunny asset ? Their continued participation (or non ) next season could have a big bearing on where he rides

Well as a man once said - " It's a funny old game " . Just when you're downhearted and feeling blue along comes an unexpected away win well done to all involved .

How's the weather looking ? Listening to the reports from Wimbledon on 5 Live i, there seems to be some rain in the air there , guess it depends on which way it's going

Putting the controversy surrounding the final aside and the usual gaffs from Sam , I have to say I throughly enjoyed last meeting and found it far more enjoyable to watch than almost all of this seasons Gps , great to see racing on a proper track for a change

The club need to make a decision regarding the Claus and Ben situation soon , it's obvious that Ben won't be back this season and might not even be available for the start of next season depending on how his rehab goes . They need to get clear news from Claus as to when or if he's likely to return , if he's not going to ride again then perhaps they should look towards next season and get a new rider in who can get a chance to settle in without any pressure on him to perform miracles and save our season

Hopefully Rohan Tungate will show the same sort of form as he showed last night and the rest will stick in and we can keep the score respectable and give ourselves a chance to progress to the next round

Over the year I've become used to the " Ermobollocks " that comes out of Sams' mouth during a meeting , but last night I though he was unbelievable when giving his opinion on the incident during the final his complete bias against NP and his attempt to try and blame him for the incident was ridiculous it was clearly obvious that Nick was going straight and that Thomasz moved across into him , weather or not it should've been all four back is another matter altogether some refs would've made that others wouldn't of last nights didn't that's the problem with refs in most sports it's all about personal interpretation of an incident .

Berwick Bandits Vs Ipswich Witches 11th July
DSC67 replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Without sounding to obvious if you don't provide heat winners you're never going to win meetings and that quite simply was tonight's problem , we're severely lacking firepower without our missing riders and cant keep relying on guests and R/R to fill the gaps .On a positive note it was great to have the meeting done and dusted before 8:30 pm that's the way it should be every week . -
Berwick Bandits Vs Ipswich Witches 11th July

If Berwick are to win this then both of their reserves need to step up , you can't win meetings with both riders at the bottom end not scoring -

It is always going to be a problem when you race on the same night as the Danish league , The Panthers management must have known this when they accepted the fixture -

It seems to me that the phrase " in the interests of speedway " covers a lot of bases , what's good for the goose isn't necessarily what's good for the gander when it comes to applying the rules in our sport , as a previous poster mentioned this is just another instance that's shows why the s port needs an independent ruling body , but as we've been waiting since the 60's for that to be established I won't be holding my breathe on it happening anytime soon . On another note I'm slightly surprised and disappointed that promotion have decided not to reduce admission prices for this fixture , in fact a recent newsletter said that there would be " no extra cost " for this match , I didn't realise that it was a policy to increase turnstile prices when a club was on TV . It's been shown in recent matches live on Sky that reducing admission prices helps to boost the crowd levels . I would have thought that this meeting would be a perfect opportunity to target the holidaymakers staying in the Berwick area and maybe a reduction in admission prices would be a good incentive . A free match programme is very commendable but isn't really going to excite any Panthers fans and get them driving up the A1 to Berwick is it ? and the free one for the next home match is only any good if you're a Bandits fan . -
This is truly shocking news , another one taken far to early , thoughts and prayers go to all her friends and family. R.I.P.

Berwick V Plymouth 20/6/15
DSC67 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
" Missing Vissing " is probably the way to sum up tonight's meeting , to be down one rider is tough but to be without two is dam near impossible , a big thanks to Richie for his efforts tonight can't be faulted The new guy looked ok after his first heat can only improve the more track time he gets , as for Alex don't know what his problem was but he was poor tonight I expect more at home meeting from him . The Devils where pretty solid throughout their team and will probably be disappointed not to win great to The Fish in great form always been one of my favourite riders . -

" Finally The Bandits have come back to Shielfield ", after what seems like an age and to many Saturday night having to put up with crap tv , it will be good to get back to some live action again . This looks like it could be a tricky fixture for Berwick the choice of guest will be very important , lets hope we will see some good racing a Bandits win and all the riders making it through the meeting without any more injuries -
