  1. Decent for an established team. But the point you origianlly made was you couldnt see 2,500+ turning up and I would say its likely to happy for at least the first few meetings
  2. Leicester had 4,500 for the first meeting back and about 3k for the next 3 or 4 meeting
  3. Just looked on the site and for the first meeting is says 5-16's for £1
  4. Ive just looked at the site and it says 5-16 £1 so Im not sure where you are looking at
  5. The rugby, basketball & netball clubs are weaker in those locations.
  6. Really define a mile? I think Leicester with the twins at the top end Spencer in the middle and Perry at reserve will run them very close. All the Cubs should increase their avg, a couple Vinny & Max should increase by 2-4 points.
  7. He looked good enough to hold onto his average from what I saw of him at Leicester's recent practice day.
  8. They have one of the better club websites. They are also only behind Leicester and Belle Vue in terms of how competitive the local market is for sports sponsorship, so I would imagine its a tough sell. The key to any sponsorship is that it has to be beneficial to both parties. In the case of clubs this means that unless a Director is a fan they would be better off targeting local SME's and focusing on the services that an aging audiance would be interested in. It is no good going after national brands as the audiance is to small, to poor, to old and in to heavily one gender. And I write this as a speedway fan.
  9. Surely their is a limit to advertising pages in a programme, as often its unecominic to increase by 2, 4 or 8 pages depending on the printing technique used. In addition there is limited advertising inventory in a stadium. So not actually limited by their imagination but by physical constraints. But hell what do I know - I just have 31 years experience in media sales and sports sponsorship.
  10. Or the start marshal and all you have to do is count to two...
  11. As someone that works in media sales and sports sponsorship I can assure you regardless of platform or sport a potential sponsor will carry out due diligence. This will include (but not limited to) looking at three areas of SM. 1 The clubs/sport official SM platforms, 2. Players (or riders) in the sport or club concerned, 3. Unofficial SM channels and the BSF would be included in the latter. So, speedway is no different to football, rugby, cricket, basketball, netball, F1, BSB etc.
  12. Top three of Brennan, Flint and Rowe for me.
  13. I think he was working for one of his sponsors PBHS
  14. But which "proper number 1" do you have in mind?
  15. Or maybe it shows a pathway for a rider to develop going into his third season.
  16. It's shaping up to be a good side. Suspect that Leicester have done their business very early for both the Lions and the Cubs. I would imagine that running open and private practice days means that both sides are very attractive to inexperienced riders where they can get greater track time than at other clubs where there is limited opportunity to practice. Also it looks like the Gaffer is keeping to his promise to the Fans from a couple of years ago of developing the clubs asset base.
  17. Thought the most impressive rider of the day was Max Perry. He looks like he is going to the top. I think he can do the NDL in 2022 and would be a great signing for any club.
  18. If my understanding is correct they are acknowledged once the press release on the rider has been issued by the club and the rugby office have received a signed copy of the contract.
  19. Based on working at a couple of Team GB // British Youth training days at Leicester earlier in the season only Brennan & Flint were quicker than Rowe around Beaument Park. Also isnt his Champ avg actually lower than his Prem avg? If you ask me, if it is Rowe as the final rider, it could be a masterstroke.
  20. Demographic information on viewers/crowd is only good if the figures are helpful. Based on my first hand experience as Advertising Sales Director of the then broadcast partner (which is over 15 years ago) speedway fans are to old, to male, to poor and come from the wrong socio-econimic profile to be attractive to most advertisers. By comparison and based on 2019 broadcast information the average netball viewer is 30 years younger, and earns twice as much as a speedway viewer. Where Demographic information would be helpful is in developing the product to attract a younger more affluent audience which will be more attractive to commercial partners within the stadium.
  21. The issue with that is you pay VAT on the ticket but not the programme (id sold and not part of admission) so it dents the profit.
