  1. a An interesting view as pricing is not down to either Eurosport (as legally it will not exist) and the BSPA. Pricing is down to the bean counters at WBD European HQ.
  2. Its dependant on two factors 1. How it fits with other live sports shown across Europe or the world and 2. the availability of satilite time and therefore cost.
  3. Try being the start marshal towards the end of the season when the yellow helmet colour has been washed 30+ times!
  4. At the time meetings are broadcast live there will be 8 minutes of ads per hour(between 6pm-11pm). So you have to expect a meeting to last a minimum of 20 minutes longer plus 30 seconds intro and outro per ad break. Speedway is a sport made for TV but I fear not live, its needs to be a hour prepacked programme, covering a couple of meetings and a couple of additional races of incident. Dont expect all 15 heats from a meeting they would drop the poor ones. Now with the limited concentration span of Z's & Alpha's a 60 second race is the ideal length of time to appeal to a new younger generation of fans
  5. That is simply not the case. Belle Vue and Poole home meeting would have a minimum of 4 times the viewers of Eastbourne or Lakeside. The price of a 30 second ad during the latters meeting was scarey. One of the cheapest spaces on the channel.
  6. Why isnt Quest good enough? It has higher daily time per viewer of 1.29 minutes to ITV4's 1.22 and reaches 0.94% of daily viewers as compaired to 0.87% on ITV4 according to BARB which is the advertsing and broadcast industries standard for understanding what people watch.
  7. Lol I spoke to him when he was on the centre green at Cardiff about three years ago. Never been to a meeting before, thought the riders "had real berries to do that" and said it would make good content for Top Gear. He also posted the final to his followers
  8. Scored more point in the regular season than any other rider. Scored more maximum than anyone else in the regular season. I would say that's the performance of an out and out Numbet 1.
  9. As the club had to shift the best part of two points of last years finishing average it was always going to be the case.
  10. The main sponsors are Watling JCB who are a distributor not JCB who are the manufacturer.
  11. I'm not bitter I was just correcting your original post. But dont let facts stand in the way of an opinion....
  12. That it doesnt state or suggest "that their sponsorship worth wasn’t that great". And as I negiotated the deal I am fully aware of its value and worth to the Club.
  13. Rubbish, Where does it state that? Maybe it suggests that the Club has a sound financial footing.
  14. Abi has stated before that Chirs Louis advised her to not ask riders about an interview and just go up to them. She was just following advice.
  15. What goes out on TV is the Directors decision. Maybe the way forward would be to find someone already working in sports broadcasting who has an understanding of the sport. Step forward Steve Brandon....
  16. When King was a Lion he made the same mistake on a regular basis is my memory serves me right.
  17. We have done, and checked the junk folder an we have not received an email this morning. Could you copy it over to john.harvey@leicesterspeedway.com please as I'm sure he will respond.
  18. We dont appear to have received anything yet at Leicester......
  19. Yes they did. They agreed the fixtures because WBD needed to know where in the country they needed OB units on specific dates.
  20. If my understanding is correct the issue is the number of normally UK based OB units out of the country and although Eurosport knew the dates, the issue was they wanted to know where they were expected to be on the dates they were given.
