Track Curators are licenced as are Clerk of Course, Start Marshal etc. But are not paid at the club I volunteer at.
-
At the club I volunteer at all the roles I stated are done by unpaid volunteers.
-
OK, so if you do away with the volunteers who is going to do the following jobs? Clerk of Course, Pits Marshal, Environmental Marshal, 2 Start Marshals, 6 flag marshals, Track Curator, 2 Tractor Drivers, Time Keeper (incase the transponders do not work), Incident Recorder, 2 Announcers, PR, Stewards x 12, Gate Stewards, 4 Ticket Office Staff, 3 on General Admission Gates, Grounds Man, 2 Cleaners, 4 Odd Job People (often the hardest Working) and say 10-12 occasional volunteers in the winter helping with general maintenance, painting etc. So thats about 45 people to keep a club running plis the most welcome occasional volunteers throughout the winter.

Its me again, there is no escape Iain. Its B he has an operation in the closed season and will not be fully recovered until mid season I think I remember May being quoted. -
The condition would not be disclosed and the support mechanic has already been stated in two press released which were approved by the family before release.

Jen has asked me to see if you want to pop along to the stadium so she can explain how the club is supporting Dave through his illness. Can you suggest a time and date that works best for you?
-
Only Me! Right I have answere the 2 minute clock earlier. With regards to the signage the interview board and pits signage is supplied "centrally" to all clubs. So it has not arrive yet. The rest of the signage in the stadium is provided by Europress who are the best in the business, high qualityh, delivered in time and understand the requirements of the club.

25th March 2025: Automated start working fine 27th March 2025: Automated start shorted out. Same issue apparently as Kings Lynn and Kent have had. This also wipes out the 2 minute clock. Its a new system for this season and it looks like its very hit and miss. I would be having a word with the QC department at the manufacturer.

Try being the start marshal towards the end of the season when the yellow helmet colour has been washed 30+ times!

At the time meetings are broadcast live there will be 8 minutes of ads per hour(between 6pm-11pm). So you have to expect a meeting to last a minimum of 20 minutes longer plus 30 seconds intro and outro per ad break. Speedway is a sport made for TV but I fear not live, its needs to be a hour prepacked programme, covering a couple of meetings and a couple of additional races of incident. Dont expect all 15 heats from a meeting they would drop the poor ones. Now with the limited concentration span of Z's & Alpha's a 60 second race is the ideal length of time to appeal to a new younger generation of fans -

That is simply not the case. Belle Vue and Poole home meeting would have a minimum of 4 times the viewers of Eastbourne or Lakeside. The price of a 30 second ad during the latters meeting was scarey. One of the cheapest spaces on the channel. -

Why isnt Quest good enough? It has higher daily time per viewer of 1.29 minutes to ITV4's 1.22 and reaches 0.94% of daily viewers as compaired to 0.87% on ITV4 according to BARB which is the advertsing and broadcast industries standard for understanding what people watch. -
Lol I spoke to him when he was on the centre green at Cardiff about three years ago. Never been to a meeting before, thought the riders "had real berries to do that" and said it would make good content for Top Gear. He also posted the final to his followers
