  1. I will stand by the figures I quoted. Netball has the highest level of income per viewer of any sport broadcast in the UK. It attracts 1.5 to 3 times the live viewers of speedway. The figures that are quoted for speedway incude non UK streaming on Discovery+ whcih should not be included in a like for like comparison.
  2. Kemp has put the greatest percentange on his starting average at Leicester (based on the October Averages) and has put the largest amount on his starting average. Up 0.89 in comparison to Douglas +0.82 and Fricke +0.75.
  3. I just have a feeling in my gut that Leicester can nick this.
  4. But the rain runs off the track taking shale with it and then contaminating the playing surface on the inside. Multi Sport stadiums will not entertain speedway as it makes a mess, leads to moise complaints, and a large amount of the stadium footprint is only used for a monority sport. The way to develop new facilities is find brownfield sites where you can develop a number of motorsport activities in a model not disimiliar to the Redcar facility. However the larger the town/city tend to have the most valueable land so perhaps Speedway future is more aligned to smaller towns like Kings Lynn or Workington with between 20-50,000 locals.
  5. Because times have changes to such a degree that my Tier 9 local football club have just spent £1,000,000 on a new pitch. They are not going to want to contaminate it with shale when they have specific rules on what type of studs can be used.
  6. When on the strack the light is even all the way around and the riders do not complain about it.
  7. Track Curators are licenced as are Clerk of Course, Start Marshal etc. But are not paid at the club I volunteer at.
  8. At the club I volunteer at all the roles I stated are done by unpaid volunteers.
  9. OK, so if you do away with the volunteers who is going to do the following jobs? Clerk of Course, Pits Marshal, Environmental Marshal, 2 Start Marshals, 6 flag marshals, Track Curator, 2 Tractor Drivers, Time Keeper (incase the transponders do not work), Incident Recorder, 2 Announcers, PR, Stewards x 12, Gate Stewards, 4 Ticket Office Staff, 3 on General Admission Gates, Grounds Man, 2 Cleaners, 4 Odd Job People (often the hardest Working) and say 10-12 occasional volunteers in the winter helping with general maintenance, painting etc. So thats about 45 people to keep a club running plis the most welcome occasional volunteers throughout the winter.
  10. I would imagine some rifers turned down Heat 15. it happens alot more than fans think.
  11. Its me again, there is no escape Iain. Its B he has an operation in the closed season and will not be fully recovered until mid season I think I remember May being quoted.
  12. The condition would not be disclosed and the support mechanic has already been stated in two press released which were approved by the family before release.
