  1. Suggest you replace 'house' with '**; and then reread... Much nearer the mark
  2. PBoro Events have suggested since that it might have been another team, if it happened at all
  3. Very easily, Pboro had all these assets and suddenly they could only use two of them... What I didn't realise was that Pboro would mess about most of the rest of their own assets for so long. It's still ongoing you know...
  4. Do tell what happens if there are no buyers, which now seems to be the case..
  5. I did too initially, but the way they have treated these riders (assets) is surely enough for constructive dismissal anyway... Poole are very rapidly becoming my 9th favourite EL team
  6. Agree with most of that RR apart from the last bit - the BSPA couldn't sort an overnight case..
  7. You're quite correct there and it would achieve little, but only one team is playing 'silly buggers' at the moment..
  8. The best way to move to Oz is to have employment there, I assume this situation is reciprocated.. Hence, Troy will either get an offer of employment from PBoro or possibly some other team Problem solved...end of...
  9. What a total bollox this situation has become... Congratulations must go to the BSPA for their continued total uselessness... I suggest that Swindon recall Mads, Simon, Jason, Zengi etc and redeclare their team - obviously this will take much longer that PBoro have so far had to determine their No 1 rider for 2013 - how inept are they ! Perhaps then we can have an American style 'lock-out' and kill what's left of the EL stone dead. Complete amateurism...and oh for an independent body (ha bloody ha)
  10. Cheer up dear,,, Mind you, if I had a face like yours, I'm sure I'd be very angry and upset too...
  11. I would add to this already very long and relevant list such things as :- Video, DVD, loads of sport on TV (Sky etc), sport in pubs (open all day), the internet, social media sites etc.. Add to that the cost and a complete lack of decent PR - when I first went, speedway, football and the cinema were all roughly the same price but football continues to go from strength to strength - in the same vein you rarely see kids playing football/cricket outside these days and that's what I used to do - day in day out as a youngster.. Having said all that, with the BBC having no sport whatsoever, surely it should be a challenge to the powers that be, to go out and entice the BBC to make Speedway a relevant sport again as much for their own benefit - in the 70's I believe Speedway was the 2nd biggest spectator sport in the country..
  12. That's about £240 too much then... Seriously though, you make a very valid point.
  13. Rumour has it that this KKS character is a spotty little rich girl intent on irritating a significant number of people on this forum, much like Mr Frost is currently doing with his attitude to his riders... Sad eh !
  14. It's a valid point and highly amusing too
  15. Whatever.. Although I'm sure many KL fans have had enough too.
  16. Totally agree (not forgetting the Miedzinski farce either)... Hopefully Swindon and the dogmatic Panthers will come to a reasonable compromise that ensures the return to Blunsdon of Hans & Troy as neither want to ride for the Panthers.. If the demands of PBoro make this an impossibility then 'sod them' and I would go so far as to suggest an away boycott at the EOES as well...
  17. Same here ER and it's been on for hours until 10.00 I'm told... So have been ploughing through the old vinyl - have got Spirit's '12 Dreams' on - still sounds good today. Would like to echo your other comments earlier and wish all on here a good Christmas and New Year (even those in Knobland)
  18. Someone somewhere posted earlier some criteria about riders falling into the 'self-employed' category, apologies to them because after a cursory look, I couldn't find that post... Anyway, to add to their comments - if you have more than one employer (eg Poland, Sweden etc), or somewhere else in England (a D/U) - just one will other employment will do, you will then bypass the Government's IR35 legislation in this country and be classed as self-employed - well that's the rule for most of us anyway... Sorry, for a very boring post...
  19. C'mon ER, slap yourself around the face a bit.. Steve's post would have been valid some 12 months+ ago, but his dodgy mob broke all those rules and binned them last year.. So please, sit down in a quiet corner and reflect... And as for you Mr Shovlar, your comments make you a very poor Santa - despite your obvious credentials
  20. Hans and Troy not happy :- http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/sportlatest/10121906.Troy___Hans_write_to_BSPA_over_Panthers__treatment/
  21. Totally irrelevant.. A Swindon asset was nicked by Poole on 5.57 and then available to Swindon on 8.21. If he was available to Swindon after May on 5.57,then you may have a point...but that was not the case...
  22. I have limited knowledge and little interest in the minutiae of speedway's rule book.. Surely everything was blown wide open (by Poole) last year when they stole a Swindon asset on I believe a 5.57 average, used him up and then through him out (agreed to) on an 8.21 average - only to replace him with a much better rider - KK. If this had not happened, perhaps AM would be part of the Swindon's team - but Poole destroyed him as an option for Swindon The precedent has now been set by Poole.. Pboro can get as stroppy as they like, (which they seem to be doing) but at the end of the day, you cannot force someone to work for you if they don't want too..
