I would suggest that Swindon released Josh purely for the young lad's best interests - so fair play to Swindon.. Agree with Steve0's post (above) re the movement of draft riders but ultimately would hardly be surprised if Poole are cheating up to their usual shenanigans so soon

Sayfutdinov Out Of Gp's
YerRopes replied to Fozzie4388's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't really know why some are castigating Emil for this decision - is it sadly just for their own entertainment value ? I will certainly miss Emil in this year's GPs but ultimately his decision just illustrates the mess that the sport of Speedway is in. However, whoever wins the GPs in 2014 will be a worthy winner -
Most disappointed that there will be no Emil this year, but pleased for Troy and good luck to him... Doesn't leave him much time to get everything sorted though.

Indeed they did, 2-1 in the replay at Old Trafford with goals from Peter Osgood and David Webb.. Were without the brilliant young Alan Hudson too.. BTW...I met Charlie Cooke's mother once in Seahouses..

Permission would never (ever) be granted for that.. Suggest Leeds United circa 1970 - surely far more appropriate..

I reckon there will be a clear top 3 this year (injuries etc permitting) of Cov, Poole and Kings Lynn - it will be good to see that old Cov/Poole rivalry fighting each other for the title again - mind you, few seem to like Old Big Head's team and his hapless predictions suggest a fool with keyboard.. As for the rest, those fighting for the last play off place (in no particular order) should be :- Belle Vue Eastbourne, Lakeside Swindon Although things always seem to go wrong for Belle Vue and Poole may cancel Lakeside if it doesn't suit.. Finally bringing up the rear :- Leicester, Wolves Birmingham Though one of these may cause a 'bit of shock'.. Here's hoping for a summer of great weather, excellent racing and a closely fought run to the title with the Devil's Own spitting and a'chomping as has become (mostly) their norm (despite their malpractises)..

Ralph Malph cracks another one...

I would have preferred the 20 NL riders to be given the equivalent opportunity in the PL with riders like Ashley Birks filling the reserve berths in the EL
-
I hope this is not the case.. Are whoever prepared to lose so much parking money, I hope not as it will most certainly rule out my attendance (and passengers) for some of the season No doubt the club will let us know the facts shortly
-
You are spot on there Gemini.. As for all those posts about Eve Muirhead (above), I know I'm getting old, but isn't she a dead ringer for the Simpson's Mr Burns.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKUOB8MN4Kc Anyway, well done Ladies on the Bronze

First of all, I hope the name of Coventry Speedway is still at the forefront of the sport in a few years time and beyond I also hope the missive posted by Neil Watson comes to pass and Coventry have some time at least to secure a new home and can prosper anew Unfortunately, the information I heard Friday morning suggested only one season is guaranteed at this present time - obviously things can change (and may have) in a short while and I do hope that that it is the case Good Luck Coventry, the sport needs you

I thought it was on about building sand castles...

Starman, your post suggests that Jacques is a bit of a 'porker' and would have to squeeze into one of your blue-haired seats How rude are you ? As for your other point, why would anyone 'sell their soul' to the Devil
-
Speedway and Stock Cars will most probably be safe for this season whilst any relevant planning permission is sought...as for 2015 and beyond, well, fingers crossed..

Mike Keen was from nearby Minety (if memory serves..) Anyway, best of luck to young Darryl

Motor Cycle News Man Of The Year - Tai Woffinden
YerRopes replied to manchesterpaul's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Have done likewise WK.. You've really said it all.. Good Luck Tai.. -
Only on the occasional Friday WK... I can 'scrub up' sometimes ER...
-
Very politely ER, I don't think anyone gives a 'flying f**k'... More seriously though, I do hope BV mount some sort of challenge this year, the biggest name in British speedway needs to be amongst the front-runners..

Five More Years Of El Speedway On Sky
YerRopes replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pleased to see Sky confirmed for another 5 years.. Now reduce admission to a tenner whenever Sky are in town, this will hopefully improve crowd levels and cultivate some excitement on the 'terraces'. Of equal importance is the track preparation, get this right and ensure that there are two 7 man teams there to compete and we then might just see some exciting meetings with a bit of atmosphere.. BTW...Can we increase the points limit now ? -
Not quite true as I understand it - Nick had committed himself to GB, but the BSPA just couldn't really be bothered to get out of bed and sort it out...

Don't you just love happy endings..

Speedway Star Toothless Pussycat
YerRopes replied to robolots's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Nonsense Skidder . All anyone wants is a fair and 'above board' sport. Should there be any shenanigans by any club then a full and thorough investigation should take place with the results published in full...and any penalty accepted with grace - wouldn't that be good You are super defensive of Poole and blame any criticism of your team on 'some people's agendas', this is laughable and happily ignores some of your club's antics over recent seasons.. -
Speedway Star Toothless Pussycat
YerRopes replied to robolots's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Agree with that Paulco, the staff at the SS do an excellent job in getting a comprehensive speedway news magazine out every week, including all the results from Europe and beyond.... It's not a criticism of the SS and the service they provide, but it would be good for someone to do some in-depth analysis of contentious events such as BV Vs Poole last season
