I wondered about that after my one and only ban.. Apparently, you can only see your own 'warning bar'.(no one else can)..
-
I reckon that that the language used on here is mostly within the boundaries...it is mostly inoffensive and I would suggest taken in the right manner most times (though not always).. There is and should be banter between supporters of various clubs and about the issues of the day too, and tbf there generally is.. We all know a certain Poolie likes to wind people up, but at the same time seems to be unable to 'take' as good as he 'gives', but that is just one individual.. I had a 2 day ban once for calling the forum's multi-named eejit a d***head, personally I thought I should have got a rather large round of applause instead..

Totally agree Steve.. Young Ashley Birks is riding like an NL rider after his injury and should therefore be allowed to replace young Mr Greenwood for the Robins.. Let us all just make the rules up as we see fit..

Each to their own I guess... I posted the below on another thread, if you're happy then great... I would say that the difference with the reserve situation this season is that the majority of the NL riders in the EL mostly score points only off each other and the heats that they are involved in are usually predictable and often strung-out too. Add to that, the fact that some team's reserves are so much better (or so much worse) than other teams means that results of Elite League meetings can and are being determined by the strength of a side's National League riders - not good !. With the likes of Smolinski or Jepsen Jensen (or Auty or Howarth etc etc) at reserve you would have reserve riders who can at least compete, whilst the NL guys are mostly just 'out of their depth' - I would emphasize that this is not a dig at them as I know they are doing best in difficult circumstances. This is a contributing factor as to why I have yet to attend a meeting this season, I have 'streamed' quite a few and will no doubt attend when the warmer evenings arrive and the enthusiasm hopefully returns. Only a couple of years ago I used to take various people, one by one they have drifted away from the sport and not one is currently interested. Elite League Speedway (as it is) is just no longer of major importance to them (or me for that matter), it has become too 'watered down' and the shenanigans within the sport are a huge turnoff too. Below is the Swindon side Vs BHam Aug 6 2012, compare it to the 2014 team, yet prices since then have gone up (in 2103 if I remember correctly) - £17 entrance, £1.50 parking, £2.50 programme (I'm unaware whether this has gone up this year) - £21 in total - is that really good 'value for money' for the 2104 product ? 1. Hans Andersen 2. Jason Doyle 3. Simon Stead 4. Troy Batchelor 5. Peter Kildemand 6. Nick Morris 7, David Lampart BTW...Swindon won 48-42 and Smolinski scored 13+1 from reserve.. I know that Swindon haven't done especially well out of the 'draft' (Bates etc), but this post is not 'sour grapes' on my part, I just want to see close, competitive and exciting meetings regardless of the result... -

Hard lines Leicester ! Another Elite League meeting determined by the National League riders (18+3 Vs 2 according to Updates) - just not on -
Another gormless post just like most of your predictions... it's just a slurry field..

The 'Brummies' are a bit of a bogey side at Blunsdon too..
-
Why would any fan of 'Speedway Racing' go and watch this.. The inequality of the teams is laughable (hence the miraculous return of the errant Mr Smart).. And all on a cow patt of a track too..

Hi Proud Panther, it took me a while to find your original post to which I was referring as it's on another thread, it is quoted in red below :- "Have to laugh when I hear complaints about the reserves deciding meetings. The likes of Smolinski, Jepsen Jensen etc have done the same over the last season or 2, so whats the difference ?" I would say that the difference with the reserve situation this season is that the majority of the NL riders in the EL mostly score points only off each other and the heats that they are involved in are usually predictable and often strung-out too. Add to that, the fact that some team's reserves are so much better (or so much worse) than other teams means that results of Elite League meetings can and are being determined by the strength of a side's National League riders - not good !. What question was that PP ? -
Another thoroughly entertaining GP from Bydgoszcz.. Despite the desperately poor attendance I'd prefer every GP to be held there rather than at the likes of Prague, Ullevi and Vojens.. Well done KK on winning his first GP - was surprised Darcy was taken from behind so easily and even more surprised that Miedzinski was allowed to take his last ride.. And well done to Troy for getting off the mark too..(more to come from him I hope)..

Think you've more than made your point ! Well done Lakeside, the result was never really in doubt.. I'm not over concerned with the Pirates philosophy of win at all costs, but I would like to see competitive meetings.. The restrictions of the NL draft and the consequent inability of the weaker teams to strengthen is hardly good for the sport. Well done Killer tonight and to a lesser extent young Morra too.. Takeaway the NL guys scores and you have a much closer meeting determined by the EL riders 42-36 instead of inadequacies of the draft rule that give us a 56-38 scoreline.. Think you should shut-up Starman #noclass -

Birmingham V Poole Ela 23/4/14
YerRopes replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Unfortunately there is only one team that will win this and it is those 'win win win' Pirates - as a suitably dismayed Mr Shovlar will tell us all afterwards.. Good Luck B'Ham -
It does indeed... However like CR, I have no problem whether it's Darcy or Chris, but only for the 28 days though...
-
Sad to see that things haven't worked out for Nicolai at Swindon this season, he was the highlight for me in our recent 'wooden spoon' season.. So adieu and best wishes to him and welcome and good luck Dak...

YerRopes replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No doubt there will be much flouncing of petticoats when the dame posts his report of today's miraculous events later.. Anyway, well done Poole and KL - by far the 2 best teams in 2014's EL.. -
How about B's 1,5,6 & 7 score 9 whilst KL's score 41+ Competitive teams and competitive racing please..
-
This result just emphasises the ridiculous draft ruling and the current sad state of the EL.. KL kids score 16 and Birmingham's just the 1,if Kennett had scored a max instead of a big fat zero, the Brummies would still have lost...
-
Just seen this result...shocking.. best of luck Brummies...

How can any team be winning 26-16 and then be losing 28-29...(2-13).. -
Swindon & Poole Home And Away On April 18
YerRopes replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done Poole for the thrashing of a somewhat under-performing Robins outfit... Didn't see the meeting so can't really comment on the racing or the track, but judging from previous meetings and the various comments made on here, I will - and it was most probably crap...(the same for both teams though).. Good new rule with this immediate R/R mullarkey, meaning that the Pirates didn't suffer from the loss of Pawlicki Hope Swindon manage to scrape 3 points tonight, but that may be 'a bridge too far'.for this Swindon team. Rather strangely Mr. Shovlar's hapless predictions continue... -
Good news indeed ! Get well Soon Darryl
