  1. I enjoyed the meeting until the rain came down.. I gave up at that point but from what I read, Middlo ended up totally confused - suggesting the meeting should have continued, obviously forgetting the BV/Poole farce of last season Anyway, the worst part of last night (Poole are already in the PO's) was the sheer contempt for the paying public - shocking really !
  2. The end of season Play Off's will most probably sum up this joke of an Elite League season.. Whichever Promoter makes the phone calls first will get the best guest(s) and subsequently win the Play Offs ..(No doubt this will be Poole as everyone wants to ride for them apparently) And in reply to a bit of a numpty post above - of course Poole should be allowed to replace Darcy, it's a shame though that neither Poole or KL can do it with anyone but guests..
  3. Think 'Agent' Pedersen forgot he was guesting for Poole and not Lakeside tonight..
  4. I've forgotten more riders than I care to remember these days, but off the top of my head in no particular order.. Martin Ashby, Scott Autrey (good choice Sid), Shawn and Kelly Moran, Chris Morton, Ed Stangeland, Rolf Gramstad, Phil Crump, and of today Peter Kildemand, but at No 1 is Geoff Bouchard Would have picked Darcy too, if he was anyway likeable...
  5. Get real Sid, it's more than a couple of mistakes. In 2012, it looked that Darcy had the speedway world at his feet.. Look at him now, a drunk that has made little or no progress.. Very sad, (given the guy's talent)..
  6. Poor post SCB.. Don't sink to the levels of that team from the South Coast..
  7. Agreed, I suggested he did that shortly after the 'incident' - it would have been good PR for Poole too... What would MF have lost, I doubt Darcy is likely to ride England next year anyway...
  8. Agree with Middlo's comments.. Darcy has been out of order and should be banned, however the FIM should have done this immediately (not today, nearly two weeks later).. Who knows whether Poole would have got a suitable replacement, but there's little chance to sort anything at such short notice with the deadline imminent. No one wants to see even more guests..
  9. Well done to Batch for getting second in Heat 10, thought it a certain KL 5-1 after he was 'sandwiched'..
  10. All riders everywhere are allowed to do it No rules broken...
  11. Please don't discard Lewis Rose, he has come good for you especially latterly If KL did do such a deed, I think we all know that he would end up at Poole - under some other new dubious ruling..
  12. Little chance of this meeting going ahead as currently an inch of rain predicted for Monday... Shame, as the 3 points would have surely remained in Swindon..
  13. I have thought the same Scribbler.. Some nights he gates brilliantly others he doesn't, some nights he can pass anyone/everyone, others he can't - obviously we are left to draw our own conclusions as to the reason why (there may not be one).. I really hope Darcy can get himself 'back on track' (ha ha) as he undoubtedly has the potential to become a 'great' However, his progress in the EL the last couple of years has been minimal and this is a league that is so much weaker than a young Michael Lee had to take on..
  14. A superb job done by the Rockinest Robins tonight,, Dak just gets better and better, Troy did a great job in team riding, apart from when he ended up finishing last.. Hopefully Morra has shut up his detractors... A big well done all round.. As regards Mr Rising's comments. I'm sure he's right and most likely any rider of the calibre of Tai and NKI will be missing next year..
  15. Another farce of a meeting (yet again).. But I would like to congratulate Ben Hopwood for his performance tonight.. Well done Ben, I bet you enjoyed that (quite right too)..
  16. TBF, I have watched most of the Swedish meetings on Eurosport and they have mostly more exciting thanthe EL meetings served up via BET365 or Sky.. For a start there are mostly 4 riders competing in each heat..
  17. Excellent post Dave.. It's not an anti Darcy thing, it's about not riding with too much alcohol in your bloodstream, thus endangering the life of yourself and the lives of others..
  18. Go on, eat another chocolate bar my dear - it won't make any difference to that waistline...
  19. Matt Ford could actually play a great PR card with this latest Darcy incident.. He could sack him (moral highground and all that).. After all, Darcy should get a ban and if he is not under a ban for 2015, would he still race in the UK anyway. I suspect that is why Poole and MF haven't commented so far...
  20. Tonight's Swedish meeting was boring (while it lasted).. And you could certainly argue that last night's 'car crash' TV was far more entertaining..
  21. Do you actually have any morals or principles ? Probably not...
  22. Do you really believe the ref got all those decisions you allude too right ? He was a joke and should be banned after that performance and I wouldn't have blamed Swindon for walking out due to track conditions and Robinson's complete incompetence.. As I said earlier, I just want to see a fair and competitive meeting and despite what you say that was mostly shocking tonight, it did get better after heat 10, but I wouldn't pay anything to watch that crap.. It is no wonder that crowds are fleeing from this sport...
  23. Who on earth is claiming a moral victory for Swindon ? Swindon lost - admittedly they had loads of riders excluded resulting in a good few heats with just 1 rider and two heats with none.. Hans time exclusion in heat 1 due to Havvy's inability to tell the time is hardly equivalent.. As I said, well done for the win.. I just want to see a good competitive and fair meeting - tonight was none of that.. The first 8/9 heats were an absolute disgrace..
