Just read the last couple of pages of this thread and I would normally be supporting Cov.. But Fast/Slow Freddie on his better bikes for the PO's just confirms everyone's suspicions that the whole league is a joke.. Poole deserve to win this through sticking with their original 1-7 and winning the league by a country mile..

Agree with your sentiments GoFast... I'd like a Poole V Swindon PO Final and for the result to be a draw with no runoff's so both clubs can share in tribute to Darcy.. I am not particularly a fan of his but would love to see him back on a bike as he is the most talented rider I have ever seen.. He has done a brilliant job for the Robins and for that I thank him and I would love to see him achieve all that he can in the sport... Get well soon Darcy...

Coventry away is usually a dead cert visit, despite the mad dash from work to meet others and head up through the Cotswolds.. Today's lack of team news (which has such a bearing on the result) killed any enthusiasm. If Garrity had ridden tonight he would have probably scored at least 12 or more (from 7 rides), but because the youngsters can't be arsed to ride for the poor money on offer, we end up with 2 riders I've never heard of riding in the Elite League (no disrespect to them and well done for turning out tonight). Surely it is time now to ditch the FTR riders in the EL - far too many results are determined by the quality (or lack of) of these youngsters...

Great win for the Pirates...congratulations.. Tonight's result just illustrates how difficult it is to beat the 'dastardly' Pirates.. Pleased for Dak and Gomolski as hopefully that will shut-up the plastic glory-hunters amongst the Pirate fan base..

The man with the TV 'Grin' deserves his ban - no one is that happy ! NP is much maligned, but I know who I prefer to watch and I will miss Nicki once he retires s.. There aren't enough 'characters' like him in speedway these days..

It is good to see Darcy perform so well, since his comeback.. Apart from Poole away, he has been rattling up the points for the Robins and even broke the Wolverhampton track record yesterday I would put a lot of that down to the professional approach to the sport that exists at Swindon under Rosco Darcy 'the boy' is turning into Darcy 'the man' under Rosco and Darcy should bear that in mind when considering his future
