  1. I am quite amazed by everyone's memory on this thread... When I moved many moons ago I torched years and years worth of programs, which I now regret and obviously have nothing to refer too.. One particularly memory I do have is either GB, England or Swindon Vs Russia where a promising young Kevin Pope beat some of the big name Russians at the time. I believe the Gordev brothers rode for Russia and Kevin Pope was never really heard of again.... There was an a absolutely massive crowd there..
  2. How many has the stay back home Dak been in contact with ?
  3. Met him once, before his accident outside of what used to be 'Paperback Parade' opposite the current Swindon Central Library.. Was courageous enough to make the effort to speak to him, (they say you should never meet your hero's), however, Rolf took the time and effort to spend some few minutes of his time with me... Just something I have never forgotten..
  4. Many thanks for pointing out my mistake in such a friendly manner..
  5. Whether you like the tone or not is irrelevant - Steve is right.. I know of no-one who wanted Batch to stay at Swindon after his efforts in the PO's (lack of) and the comments he made afterwards...
  6. Talking of Norwegians, I would like to hear how Rolf Gramstad is doing these days.. He has always been one of my favourite riders and I am still saddened at the misfortune that befell him..
  7. Am pleased that Morra is back for 2016, but I don't think anyone expected otherwise... A shame that we have such a big 'Hans Andersen' sized gap in the 2016 line up ! Hopefully Rosco will save the best until last,, Poor Dak is back home looking after his dad and all you can do is 'have a pop' at him for falling off... I think he deserves better than that given the circumstances.. Is he yet another ex Pirate 'used and abused' and ruthlessly thrown away..
  8. Starman has proved more than capable of defending himself... He may post from a different planet on occasion, but the forum would be less interesting without his contributions.. It's not your club Skidder, you just support them.. Anyone has the right to post on the Poole thread (or any other for that matter)... BTW...Why aren't both Hans and Buzz both on the HL list ? Your mob are definitely favourites (again)...
  9. Are you saying Pirate Oliver stole a member of the BSPA's lanyard ? If that's the case, he should be easy to spot as he is obviously very fat,, You will no doubt be able to outrun him and he should be mostly very easy to spot .. He's probably wearing it as a necklace too... Good hunting PPP
  10. Is that an expectant Pirate Oliver before he's eaten ?
  11. Good choice RP.. The rather rotundish Pirate Oliver must be easy to spot down your way..
  12. Thought it looked quite disgusting (and no goodness in it either)... Is that an example of what you lot eat down there - no wonder there's so many xxx xxxxxxxx seagulls..
  13. Welcome back Josh ! Sadly Zengi's high average has cost him a team place this year.. Hopefully Michelsen and Morra will complete the 2016 team.
  14. So did Darcy, but he ended his career as a Swindon Robins rider... #43 Get Well Darcy
  15. I would suggest that both Leon Madsen and Arthur Mrocka have been 'once bitten twice shy' by the lack of loyalty shown by the Pirates.. 1,2,3,4 - Cue Ian Hunter,,
  16. I shall be going as I was astute enough to miss the 'disrespectful' Farewell meeting anyway... FYI Keef - Interesting article recently in the Adver re Moonrakers, see below.. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/14039077.Tales_of_the_underground___Swindon_s_smuggling_network_/
  17. Not sure of your logic here CR.. Gary Holton and Pat Roach died years ago whilst Oz and Moxey were 'kin lazy buggers..
  18. Don't worry Skidder.. Hans can always sign for Swindon, Buzz for Leicester, whilst Brady, Kyle and Adam will get fixed up elsewhere no problem
  19. No argument with that at all... Poole will have done well to build a team that basically allows for them to have four heatleaders.. I am told (on here) that this is all above board, so OK, fair enough.. What does dishearten me for the new season is that Leicester seem incapable of signing any heatleaders at all (that may be down to their Promoter's intransigence, I don't know), KL have lost NKI with remote hope of an adequate replacement and Coventry's team seems desperately weak. BV have a reasonable side but who knows what Swindon, Lakeside and Wolves may cobble together.. I just hope the 2016 EL is competitive, if not, it may struggle to maintain any lingering interest that I currently have - and I don't want that to happen
  20. BV and all their fans should have got an extra 2 points Starman,,, That would mean you lost,,
  21. Am amazed that Cov have gone for the young Pole with so many points left to play with.. Hopefully he is better than last year's Jamrog You'd a thought, a lesson might have been learnt..
  22. Totally agree with that... It looks like the BSPA (Promoters) just expected everyone to return, but without NKI, KIller, Magic, Zagar etc certain teams will struggle to field a competitive 7.. I just hope no one does an Oxford...
