Swindon - Somerset 17th Aug 17
YerRopes replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Had two visiting Australian friends drive up from Portishead for yesterday's meeting. When the rain started in Old Town it was fairly obvious that the meeting was in serious doubt. We monitored events on this thread and when the hour delay was announced, we had a couple of drinks instead The right decision was finally made but little consideration was given to the travelling fans.. BTW...total fixture farce -
Somerset - Swindon 18th Aug 17

Musielak was an inspired signing and has certainly made a huge difference,, As for Champions, we'll wait and see. You must be in the deepest of despairs at the moment Steve Nevermind though eh ! You Robins -
Congratulations once more to the Rockin' Robins A 10 point win at Lynn without Jason and Zach followed by the seeing off some dubious Lions from Leicester to make it 10 in a row ! A special mention to Rosco and his team building this year, Bellego and Musielak have both been been way better than expected whilst Nick, BWD and Zach have all improved significantly. Jason has done his job at No 1, so all we need now is Adam to finally come to the party and there is still time for that BTW...Good luck to Lynn for the rest of the season, a brave move - although everyone tires of whingers eventually..

Swindon V Poole Thurs 27/07/
YerRopes replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well,I believe last night's victory makes it 8 wins in a row Admittedly it was against poor opposition (it's not often you can say that about Poole) - but the Rockinest ones march on ! Desperately sad news about Zach, we will definitely miss him.. -
Swindon V Rye House Thursday 20th July Sgbp
YerRopes replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Another great win for the Rockinest ones Six different Robins got a heat win at Poole, followed by five last night. Such a shame we won't be able to keep this young side together for future seasons ! Keep it up Swindon -
It is should have.. No need to thank me though !

YerRopes replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is too close to call,, Whatever happens though, there will be a few very nervous Pirate fans when they awake tomorrow.. Now, I just await Shovlar's post re the almighty miracle needed for a Pirates victory -

Thoroughly enjoyed that.. If that had been my first meeting I would have been completely hooked ! The meeting had everything and some of the racing was excellent too -

Speedway World Cup 2017
YerRopes replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
A very predictable result but congratulations to Poland, thoroughly deserved. Was glad the Swedes hung in there for a while, was disappointed with the Russians, though they seemed very happy with third place ! As for Team GB, we just haven't got the quality of riders at the moment to be able to compete with the Poles in their homeland. Was pleased that Rosco gave a couple of the younger ones a chance, however, Cook was hugely disappointing, but I'd stick with young Lambert, Bomber did his best but the star of the show for GB was Steve Worrall, remember it was only 3 or 4 years ago when he was tootling around at the back for Newcastle.. -
Surely the all conquering Poole Pirates should set their sights a little bit higher than Milik ?

No class though, no fireworks or hot water if he loses..🚾

Haven't seen all of this, but it has been excellent! Bonkers stuff.. -
Rolf Gramstad was another fine Norwegian rider, unfortunately his career was cut short by serious injury.
-
Tungate is an excellent signing for Belle Vue, shame as I was hoping he'd be an excellent signing for the Robins,,
-
It does seem the obvious move - hopefully
-
Have just this thread and have to agree with you re the highlighted above. I know Kyle has been struggling a bit and I know MF can be ruthless, but if I were a Poole fan I wouldn't be happy with this change. Kyle has been a loyal and match winning performer for the Pirates on a number of occasions..

Poole Pirates Vs Wolverhampton Wolves 7/6/17
YerRopes replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How lucky were the Pirates tonight.. Freddie would have easily secured 7 or 8 more points than Josh and despite what SS lampoons Wolves would have won by a country mile Well done Brady Kurtz though !
