Peterborough Panthers 2023
siggysigalos replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I just know clubs have spoken to him Lisa and Peterborough is not his 1st choice, but as previous post has suggested the 2nd baby also plays a huge part on what countries hes riding in this season. But i have to say as a dedicated Speedway fan, these new teams that are being built are very exciting, and long may it continue that riders like Bewley, Fricke, Doyle and hopefully others jump on the British Speedway bandwagon. -
Peterborough Panthers 2023
siggysigalos replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Might be wrong, but don't count Chris Holder as a Panther just yet. Not the only club he has spoken to. -
well well well, Yes i have to admit I'm disappointed(Especially Batchelor),but we as fans cant write them off......Just Yet. So many Rumours of who maybe joining......Doyle being announced 1st was clever, got all our hopes up. But we have definitely missed a trick with our points haul. Danny will again be key, and Rowe as RS could be a plus. Starke.........Leave that 1 there for now. Riss ,for me, if he starts well, confidence will be key, he had a lot of personal problems last season, and was in a bad place ,and was riding for a dreadful set up, so i think he maybe a plus. Heeps was always going to be in the 7, whatever his average was, Hawkins wouldn't leave his mate out, and i believe Jason Doyle may help Cam improve. It's Batchelor that has done me, but even i have to be positive, his average has slumped big style, but he goes well when in team again with Jason Doyle, so there is a positive in there, and through gritted teeth i will support him as he's now a witch. Yes on paper we look destined for 5th, coz any team we build we wont be as bad as Lynn, it's a bit deflating, but we have to believe and support the boys. But i do fear an early season finish. Wolves don't sound strong either, Lynn clearly won't be strong. Peterborough won't change much, and as it's been said on here, nobody fancied them at the start last season, but they will be strong. No Bewley at Belle Vue for me makes them weaker, but Fricke isn't a bad replacement i suppose. Sheffield do look strong, Cook was a masterstroke for me, so at the moment they are quite rightly Favourites......but it's only on paper
-
It's Ipswich,It's Louis and Hawkins so anything is possible. But Cook has to be in the 7,doesn't he......
-
Please No Batchelor at Ipswich,I'm not doubting your call, but please I was so upbeat after Doyley, and to be fair the other 4 are decent signings, now this Batchelor rumour is destroying my week
-
Thanks on Worrall, Holder Rumours still surfacing this morning, but nobody seems to see that happening,so I take it we are looking at 2 from 3 Riss,Batchelor and Cook. Riss and Cook for me all day long, but we are talking Louis and Hawkins here.....
-
King was a certainty,Heeps I suppose I was just hoping he may of been left out,but I don't have a problem. Could the last 2 be Riss and Cook,or is that over. I just pray it's not Batchelor,is Steve Worrall in anywhere yet??
-
It seems like Riss is off elsewhere, the suspense is killing me. Love seeing all your opinions though. But Please NO Batchelor, or have i got to put my reasons for not liking him to one side.
-
Holder is Not riding Sweden. Please No to Batchelor ,i have less time for him than Paul Lambert, i want him to lose everywhere he rides. I hope some of you are wrong on that. Looking like King,Heeps,Holder and Riss.......Does that fit???
-
I heard a rumour about Holder last Wednesday, but thought he we go again,so without getting laughed at on here I wouldn't say it. But it's been brewing for days,it does join up with the Dots that Louis had a change of plan at the last minute, but its all rumour. I'd love it if we got Holder in,but don't know who misses out,but clearly a deal for somebody has fallen through or Louis changed his mind. I think Rowe and Starke at Reserve is decent, not convinced, but its decent. Who the other 3 are remains to be seen as Danny will be a definite.
-
Decent move for Kemp. and agreed, i dont think he has been in Chris Louis's plans since the season finished. Just couldn't fit him in our final 7.

Big Bad Wolfs 2022 (Wolves 2022)
siggysigalos replied to BartoszZmarzlikFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just didn't happen for Drew at Ipswich, I think there were other factors, but on his night he can be decent. but to many off nights. Hope it works out for him at Wolves. -
I didn't want to say i knew more than he did ,as i don't, but i see what you mean about Ostergaard, i cant see where he would go, Lynn maybe, Richie Worrall is definitely no shoe in as we speak for King's Lynn ,but may happen. I must admit i keep hearing Erik Riss is a Witch this season ,but we will have to wait for next week i suppose. Most teams are nearly there with their teams, not sure what sort of season its going to be with just 6 teams again, but the signing of Jason Doyle is a massive plus for Ipswich
-
Agreed Daniel, Kildermand is a huge risk and Richie Worrall is not a definite as we sit here this morning.
-
Not saying i am doubting Flappy ,coz he's more in the know than i will ever be ,but what little i do know, Ostergaard isn't a witch this coming season, not saying thats 100% reliable, but i trust that source as he did say Doyley was a certainty a Month ago.

I Understand how sad the news is on Danny Ayers, its a huge blow to not just Ipswich and Scunthorpe, but to the whole of Speedway in general, but before Danny's sad loss,we were becoming a borefest at Ipswich for naming our 7th rider, and potential heat leader,i know Geoff58 says its not Chris Holder, but jesus,he gets everything wrong, although he must get 1 statement right soon(i doubt it though),i now understand the wait to replace Danny is a little understanding, but my god,how boring is Chris Louis, such a great season last year, probably over achieved, but who cares,a chance to name the side early, get all of us supporters on side, looking forward to the forthcoming season, and bang,he takes even longer than last season,he could name Zmarzlik now,and i think i still would have lost interest, but i hope Holder's visa's problems are sorted,as reported and he is named in next 24 hours, but who knows, maybe Geoff58 has finally got something right
-
Very True Baldyman, cant remember the last thing he did get right
-
It cant be Chris Holder guys,as Geoff58 has said so,so its all a mystery,it seems Iversen is a No to the Panthers.
-
Covatti is more entertainment, decent signing, with Geoff58 confirming he knows Chris Holder is a no(what a snorefest he is),would be interesting if Geoff58 is right, who our last Signing is,still think it's Holder, but seem to think Neils might be back. I see Sam Masters still hasnt been confirmed by Wolves yet either, although im sure he will be back at Monmore.
-
So Geoff58,you are in the know again,no Chris Holder at Foxhall, are you saying thats a definite,coz.............................................
-
So looks like the Chris Holder rumours are going to suffice,i'd like to think its a positive move, but with him coming in,i suppose that rules out Scott Nicholls at reserve,as Covatti and Ayers seem certain as well, its a decent looking team, with improvement possible on a few,top 4 for me looks again a very strong possibility.
-
Klindt is a solid signing, good round Foxhall and to be fair most other tracks,im not good on averages as you Guys, but assuming Danny King will be the 4th Witch announced, does the signing of Klindt now rule out Chris Holder or a Proper Number 1,and have we still got a chance of Nicholls and Covatti at Reserve,or is that me dreaming.
-
Is that you hearing on the Grapevine Baldyman from AGM,that we are not bringing in a Number 1,if so,that's very disappointing
-
Love this time of the year, all the rumours, and if we are honest all the guessing. But i am worried about this effort from Louis to bring in a Number 1,so many names linked,i believe it will be Klindt named today,as that's a poorly kept secret, but as many have said on here,Danny King is a certainty as well,so possibly him. Scott Nicholls for me at Reserve would be a good shout, but these Danny Ayers rumours seem to be strong,so i would think it's Ayers and Covatti as our Reserves. Cameron Heeps again for me is a certainty,Jake Allen will get better this season, that's a great signing, but who does that leave, not flattered by Chris Holder,as it's been said already, his average will be lower than Klindt's,and is he really top draw anymore. We do seem to like a Pole, but again just dont see that happening,we wait with baited breath, for me,id love Vaculik(but i know that wont happen)before i get shot down,or be called a dreamer by you all know who.
-
Its been a very good season, dont think many of us expected to be in the Play Off final when our original 7 was announced, havent been to many meetings i will admit, but the few i have been to have been enjoyable, and although we didnt really do very well last night,it was still nice to be apart of play off final night at Foxhall. I do agree that 2 riders in particular were poor last night,Harris and Danny for me were well below par,Neils, for me was unlucky in a couple of heats, but sadly in the end Swindon were just better, apart from Batchelor, who again was very poor. I agree its a bit early to pick a 7,but i do love reading all your points, and i know i will get totally shot down here,as i believe it wont happen, but could we tempt Jason Doyle to Foxhall,or am i being stupid, speaking to some Swindon fans last night, they said he wouldnt be with them next season,i know its far fetched, but just putting it out there. I hope Jake Allen is retained,as Danny King and Cameron Heeps, and i also believe Richard Lawson has had a decent season,James Sargeant,Chriis Harris and Neils(for commitment reasons)would be the 3 id change. Great Crowd last night, brilliant to see Foxhall packed, well done to all supporters this season.
