Am I the only person that thinks the safety fence at scunny needs to be looked at,only a matter of time until someone hits the concrete behind it and receives life changing injuries or worse!!
I don't know, the fact that it's used so often surely reinforces the need for rider safety instead of raking in the£££ invest some of the profits to make it safer.
Its not the severity it's the frequency, Thomas,Gilkes, Alcock in less than 12 months can you name another track that has the same record of bad injuries in the same time frame? No I didn't think so
My point is riders crash regardless of ability or experience, the safety fence at scunthorpe possibly needs looking at to see if it could be made safer, possibly repositioning it,rider safety is paramount, what's your point?
The airfence has an armco barrier directly behind it that is the problem not the riders inexperience if a gp rider crashed into the fence at scunthorpe he would sustain bad injuries.
Surely it would be prudent to move the air fence in 1m or more leaving a gap which would certainly lessen the chances of hitting the armco barrier Jack Thomas, Dan gilkes, Joe Alcock would certainly have had more of a chance imo. Zane Kennedy not so much as he went right over the top. As has been previously stated definitely needs some sort of investigation 3 serious crashes in less than 12months is not a coincidence !
Is the airfence at scunnyfit for purpose, seems to be alot of bad injuries when riders crash at the ewr,Dan gilkes and Jack Thomas unfortunately are examples of this, apparently its solid concrete directly behind the fence.
He's been struggling a bit lately posting all sorts of drivel, could one of his friends if he's got any check on him and make sure he's OK,I'm concerned.
