  1. If that's the rules, wouldn't Oxford be awarded the league title regardless of Tuesdays result?
  2. That would come in at 36.96, they're not going to pick a team over a point below the limit!
  3. Tbh, I don't think that's relevant. Fans need to decide if they think the price is value for money. If they don't think it is & stop attending, it won't matter if the promotion knows more than the fans i.e how much it costs to put meetings on. I'll use Justin Sedgmen as an example, I've seen interviews, where he explains how expensive Speedway is, with tuning, travel expenses etc as a reason for riders deserving more money. But that's not how a business works - a promotion can only pay out, what comes in (unless they are willing to lose money). If clubs only get 500 attending matches, the riders wages should be based on this income (plus sponsorship), riders can't just demand more money to pay for the very best equipment!
  4. But Leicester can pick 7 riders who have upped their averages, so their current total would no longer be 40.
  5. He certainly gets overlooked compared to the Cook's. Kyle started the season with a higher ave than both Ben & Zach, but they got Prem team places before he did. Ben has since overtaken him, buy Kye still has a higher Champ ave than Zach. Similar thing happened to Pickering, he was overlooked for a Prem spot, long before he got a place. Obviously in the Prem, the Cook's have outscored Kye. Although racing for King's Lynn seems to hinder everyone's scoring?
  6. Is Bastian the stronger rider though? Not much between them imo
  7. Tough to know what to make of that team, yes it looks weak, but all teams will probably end up looking weak. I will point out that Brennan & Vissing could've fitted in that team as heat leaders, so while many blame the points limit for Glasgow dropping so many riders, the truth is they dropped more than they needed to.
  8. Yes, I've read that many times, but until he's announced in another team, hope he stays at Berwick
  9. How about? Berwick Lewis Kerr 8.39 Rory Schlein 7.58 Leon Flint 6.40 Jye Etheridge 5.91 Jacob Hook 4.00 Jack Smith 3.00 Connor Coles 2.63 Total 37.91
  10. Looks a decent team, if you chose Hook, could fit in Castagna instead of Fredriksen.
  11. I think Max Perry has gone under the radar in the NL, while Boughen has (rightly) been lauded as am future superstar, Perry who has a higher NL average (from a more difficult position) is not talked about anywhere near as much.
  12. I certainly like the look of that team.
  13. Diamomds85 I wouldn't call it top heavy (only got one top rider) but yes it has a long tail but as lisa-colette pointed out, Oxford did well with 2 x 2.00 riders. Last year Birmingham used 8 points for their reserves & Edinburgh used 7 for theirs, didn't help their seasons.
  14. I guess Harrison could be at Redcar, Scunthorpe or Workington?
  15. Does that mean it must be a good team if two people independently come up with it?
  16. I'll have to compliment them then lol!
  17. How about this team? Poole Richard Lawson 8.48 Ben Cook 7.39 Zach Cook 6.22 Anders Rowe 5.80 Kyle Newman 5.51 Sam Hagon 2.56 Max Perry 2.00 Total 37.96
  18. Came up with this hypothetical team, which given the lower points limit, looks good to me Plymouth Lewis Kerr 8.39 Kyle Howarth 7.76 Ben Barker 7.42 Dan Gilkes 4.84 James Pearson 4.08 Adam Roynon 3.41 Ben Trigger 2.08 Total 37.98
  19. Think this would be a good team imo Redcar Danny King 8.41 Charles Wright 7.80 Erik Riss 7.35 Danyon Hume 4.72 Jason Edwards 4.55 Jake Mulford 3.06 Harrison / Kinsley 2.00 Total 37.89
  20. I was surprised with the wording of a picture Scunthorpe posted on their FB page, calling themselves KOC Champions. Does that sound wrong to anyone else? I've always thought you get league champions & cup winners? For example saying FA Cup Champions sounds odd, I'd always say FA Cup Winners.
  21. 1. Emil Sayfutdinov 2. Max Fricke 3. Tobiasz Musielak 4. Jack Holder 5. Jason Doyle 6. Tai Woffinden 7. Dan Thompson
  22. There's nothing for Morris to sort out, the rules are clear - just very stupid imo. Both Jorgensen & Andersen, signed for Berwick on converted Prem averages, then reverted to their Championship averages, once they had ridden a match, been this way for a few seasons now.
  23. I agree it could be hard to follow, but gotta give them credit for trying to give Mildenhall & Oxford fans the option of just paying to see their teams, when Berwick ran double headers fans has to pay full price (no usually double header reduction) even if just wanting to watch their team!
  24. They'll use Etheridge's most recent average (2023 Champ converted) so he'd be on a 4.00 average. Once he's ridden one match, they'll add his 2024 matches to his 10 match rolling average from 2022 (4.76) because .... actually I can't think of a logical reason why they start with one average, then switch to another after one match?
  25. If team building rules remain the same: Sheffield Jack Holder 8.91 Tai Woffinden 8.26 Josh Pickering 6.78 Kyle Howarth 5.41 Lewis Kerr 5.31 Jye Etheridge 4.00 Dan Gilkes RS Total 38.67
