  1. The interest must be very low, but you're welcome to start them yourself. That what I did for most of the 2024 threads.
  2. Their top 5 is really good, it's just the reserves who aren't scoring. There won't be a 2.00 rider able to score more than McGurk, so Liebman is the obvious rider to go if they're chasing the league title.
  3. Well that's his fault for his attitude towards British Speedway last season.
  4. I think the rule is there for 2 reasons, 1) to help a riders development, if they are scoring double figures from the RS position, time for them to test themselves against tougher opposition in the top 5. 2) unlike Poland (who allow juniors to remain at reserve all year regardless of ability) I get the impression British promoters don't like the idea of the opposition having RS reserves stronger than team men, so have these rules to move them into the top 5.
  5. Can see it taking a while, Berwick have good second strings, plus carrying last year's heats means it will take Borke longer to move out if the reserve berth. I could be wrong but I think he'll struggle if he moves into the top 5.
  6. Wasn't aware of that. As Redcar are out of the BSN series, I probably would have used r/r to give their own riders more track time.
  7. Already running r/r for Knudsen. short notice but could've used r/r for Wright and a guest for Knudsen? Kemp, Hume, Pearson, Castagna, Heeps all fit, of course some may not have been available. Irrelevant now I've heard Knudsen is riding.
  8. Borke did his job as a reserve, no question about that. You say "Ethridge lost to riders he was expected to beat" do you really think Etheridge was expected to beat Harris, Worrall or Vissing? I can't imagine anyone expecting that.
  9. Wasn't at home match so can't comment on how good the riders looked, but Etheridge only lost to Glasgow's top 3, while Borke didn't beat any of Glasgow's top 3. Also Borke dropped points to Pearson & Starke, Etheridge didn't. So could any more be expected of Etheridge & did Borke only score well because he met weaker opposition?
  10. Really? I think Etheridge did everything you can expect from a sub 6.00 rider away from home. 4) Finished behind Worrall but ahead of Pijper 6) Finished behind Harris but ahead of Pearson 9) Finished behind Vissing but ahead of Starke 13) Finished behind Harris and Worrall
  11. Without knowing the goings on behind the scenes, all we can discuss is the riders scoring / ability / reliability / potential etc. There may be a good reason he wasn't picked, but unless that's announced, all I can do is say Glasgow got it wrong (with a smile on my face)
  12. There's been so many rain-offs plenty of riders could still be rusty, so shouldn't hinder him tbh. Smith has constantly said in interviews about his ability to win heats in both the Prem & Champ. This is his chance to show it.
  13. Nothing against Flint, but I'd love Vissing to outscore him, just so I can say I was right lol!
  14. Cami's logic may with for 5 of the Brits but not for all of them when you consider Flint averaged 6.42 last year but signed on 6.40, while Vissing averaged 7.07 & would've been available on 6.24. Like pretty much everyone on here, don't understand their decision & would love Claus fly round Ashfield for Workington.
  15. But that's no hindrance as long as they can get a strong guest (Vissing). If Vissing was missing, then Vissing couldn't guest lol?
  16. @cowboy cookie returns? remember when Tom Brennan moved out of the reserve berth? Same thing can happen to Dan T (as explained by tellboy)
  17. Looking at the most recent rolling averages, Dan T will be moving into the top 5 with Jenkins & Rew at reserve.
  18. That rule doesn't exist any more, changed last year
  19. Choosing not to go because you are unsure of the conditions is every fans choice. But blaming the club for not calling it off early, is a bit different. Tbh it was a lot worse for an earlier Belle Vue fixture. But the point is still relevant.
  20. Still waiting for the people demanding the meeting be postponed due to the weather to pop up & admit they were wrong / congratulate the track staff / promotion for ensuring the meeting went ahead.
  21. They will as long as they keep up the 20+ home wins
  22. Given the circumstances that would be harsh, maybe if it happens again a ban would be required.
  23. "Not that great" Oxford took unbeaten Ipswich to within 6 points, with a missing rider & a manager who made a howler. That would've been a good result even with a full team. Harris has been decent, you can't really give him grief over one poor match, after all he was signed on a sub 7 average, you can't expect big scores every week. Janowski has been poor, but they are better to wait till gets a new average then drop a reserve for another heat leader (if anyone's available).
  24. Actually Schroeck's excuse for his mistakes makes him look even more inept imo I’m normally clued up, but there was so much going on towards the end of the meeting and I missed an opportunity there and that does frustrate me. As soon as Tungate was missing & Clouting was his planned replacement, the obvious choice would be for Wright / Clouting or Wright on his own to take the first 3 rides with Riss replacing Clouting / Tungate in heat 14 alongside Boughen. Then once they were 6 points down, very obviously you'd put Nicholls in instead of Boughen. So how was "so much going on" that he made a mistake? He should have known what to do before the first heat?
  25. Schroeck not being too hard on himself. “No-one is harder on me than myself and I know I made a mistake in Heat 14 and could have put a reserve out with Scott. I’m normally clued up, but there was so much going on towards the end of the meeting and I missed an opportunity there and that does frustrate me. But at the end of the day, the only way we could have got a win would have been to also gain a heat advantage over Sayfutdinov and Doyle in Heat 15, when Ipswich had pick of gate positions"
