Fair points, I never considered that. However still can't see any of that happening, can only see Dan going onwards & upwards next season. Not that I think he'll struggle, but if he does Ipswich don't seem to drop riders too often.
-
How is there extra pressure, he's on a 3 point average, but was averaging above that in the top 5 last year? Besides anyone in a team with Doyle & Sayfutdinov shouldn't feel any pressure knowing they'll be scoring the bulk of the points, add in possibly the strongest RS & I'm assuming an fast improving Brennan & Rew - I can't imagine anyone in the Ipswich team feeling any pressure.

Shame they don't post the crowd figures like they do in Poland, Sweden & many other sports in Britain. Save all the speculation & be interesting to see the numbers. -
You can't win the league without winning the play-offs lol! I know what you mean though. We'll never know what would've happened, Witches would've been on a high & could've gone better at the NSS, but injuries happen in sport. Belle Vue deserving Champions, would Witches have won with Doyle & Sayfutdinov - maybe!

Would be a great signing, top rider & a real crowd pleaser.

Dan spent a large part of last season in the top 5. Dropping back to number 6 should see his scores increase again even if he's not at 7.

Probably not, but with people telling me Kerr is going to Poole & Schlein is going to retire, with no suggestions of heat leader replacements trying to think of a strong Berwick team? -
Can't imagine Lynn & Glasgow would've been happy if Rowe signed contracts to ride for another club, while still in their teams?

I thought Zischke was a certainty? -
Would be daft signing a 3.00 rider for half a season with the plan to replace him with Cairns. Just sign a 2.00 rider & use the spare point elsewhere in the team.

Given Berwick's history with Czech riders, how about Vaclav Milik? Although I'm not sure if a Saturday track would suit his foreign commitments. 40 point limit? Rory Schlein 8.08 Kye Thomson 6.53 Drew Kemp 6.46 Vaclav Milik 6.17 Danyon Hume 4.87 Bastien Borke 4.84 Ace Pijper 3.00 Total 39.95 38 point limit? Rory Schlein 8.08 Drew Kemp 6.46 Vaclav Milik 6.17 Danyon Hume 4.87 Bastien Borke 4.84 Tobias Thomsen 4.41 Ace Pijper 3.00 Total 37.83 -
I thought he was being purposely cryptic, maybe just trying to get more views etc.

Depends if no-one else offers him a team place, might need to go to Plymouth to continue racing?
-
That's why I put an asterisk next to his name.

Team building averages & a riders starting average are the same thing. I constantly said Brennan would start at reserve when he had his 25% reduction, only for so many people tell me I was wrong. But I was correct & he started at reserve. This year won't effect Dan or Anders as they'd be in the same position regardless of average used.

So many Poole fans on FB talking about Chris Harris. As they've signed Lawson I see no chance of them signing such a high averaged 2nd heat leader, but out of curiosity, looked to see what sort of team they could build with such a strong top 2. Richard Lawson 9.17 Chris Harris 9.07 Zach Cook 6.23 Anders Rowe 6.11 Vinnie Foord 3.90 Paul Starke 3.36 William Cairns* 2.00 Total 39.84 Richard Lawson 9.17 Chris Harris 9.07 Zach Cook 6.23 Anders Rowe 6.11 Paul Starke 3.36 An Other 2.00 William Cairns* 2.00 Total 37.94

If MPT isn't back with Scunny, how about a return to Plymouth?
-
I wouldn't mind some incentive (protected rides) for NDL stepping up, but as soon as a rule is 2 x 2.00 riders at reserve all the 3 points riders get dropped, as no one would want to field a 3.00 rider in their top 5. You might get away with one 2.00 rider or RS at 7.

I wouldn't describe that as a "steal of an average" as he's got that average for a reason. Now if he's a reserve, then I'd fully expect him to up his average, but I'm the top 5 - that's how I'd rate him (a 5 to 5.5 man). -

Strongly disagree with that, Cook has improved every season in GB, plus made a great start to his Polish career. Now if you'd rather pick Lidsey because he's younger / has a lower average / you believe he's got more improvement in him, then I can't argue with your reasoning in preferring Lidsey. But I certainly feel Cook, hasn't reached his full potential. -
That first sentence is the most ridiculous thing I've read on here in ages. By all means you can suggest Rowe is stronger / more promising but a "million miles ahead" come on, be serious. As for why they are even being compared? Well they've both progressed out of the RS berth at the same time, so why wouldn't you compare them?
-
Yeah, totally agree

It would certainly make sense for riders to double up with the Cheetahs & Spires

Keep Vuolas rather than Blodorn to allow the top 4 to remain? * It may fit / it may not fit
