  1. The problem with Kye is he had a good first couple of seasons with Edinburgh, but hasn't gotten any better. Had he been a 4.00 rider, then 5.00, then 6.50 people would probably talk about him more. For example his season starting average was better than Zach Cook's, but Zach may finally overtake him this season.
  2. Workington's top 5 look really good, Redcar really need to heavily outscore them at reserve to have any chance over 2 legs.
  3. I thought Lynn had strong reserves pre-season, but they never seem to both go well at the same time. They are well below the limit, so could attempt to strengthen up there (if there's riders available to come in).
  4. That was a really bad decision, Cook was doing ok at the time, so put him in - more chance off the gate that Milik off 15m, or give Flint his 2nd ride? Stewart Dickson did the same at Glasgow, giving Schlein a 15m heat & not giving Hodder his 3rd ride instead. Very basic mistakes being made (though not as bad as Peter Schroeck)
  5. 37 points is a decent score for Birmingham I feel. Don't think much more could be expected.
  6. Not really, there would be no reason not to be honest. Oxford would just say Klindt isn't happy / wants a change & they feel Riss is a good replacement. By dropping Riss, Oxford are the "bad guys" not giving riders enough time / not supporting them when they are struggling etc. Don't see any advantage to Oxford announcing they dropped Klindt if he wanted out.
  7. Good result for Edinburgh, but still expecting Poole to go through on aggregate.
  8. For Plymouth I'd look to use Schlein or Howarth for Covatti. For Poole, the same two for Brennan. Normally I'd say Poole are strong enough to run with r/r, but as Plymouth are built with strength in depth, this may be the one time you done want Thomsen, Hagon & Perry to take 14 rides between them.
  9. Won't be at reserve for long, but at corner track Lynn, could be a match winner for Brummies. Not expecting a lot from him tonight though.
  10. Don't know why teams nearly always move r/r to number 2, especially if it moves your top rider to meet a RS. Would've been better with r/r at 3 or 4 imo.
  11. I get 38.32, but the limit goes up to 38.5 in May, so it fits. I used Riss' converted Prem average as that is now his "most recent" average. It is a ridiculous rule, ignoring his last 20 Champ meetings, because he's ridden ONE Prem meeting!
  12. It's easier to let the stigma go than win a match lol!
  13. Good news for Brummies fans, I keep reading on fb that King's Lynn are going to get the wooden spoon lol!
  14. I still don't understand the call-off. The weather was lovely, you can't just ignore one forecast & pick the one that suits you best. They had Lawson & Brennan lined up as guests, r/r for Tarasenko allows every rider an extra ride, so there was no reason to call it off due to the teams strength. If there was no facility for Tarasenko or Zmarzlik was his replacement I could understand the ruse, but still condemn it. But if King's Lynn are planning to call off every match when they may lose, they'll hardly get any speedway raced!
  15. I normally think it's stupid to put r/r at 2 if it means your number one gets an extra outing in heat 8. Seems a waste of Musielak's ability putting him out to beat a "rising star". However Lynn have been so poor, it means they'll be more likely to at least reach 30 points now, so maybe it does make sense.
  16. I don't think they are riding for their jobs, Birmingham have made no hints they are looking to strengthen up & the first rider available (Klindt) wasn't snapped up.
  17. This confuses me more, if Tarasenko quit, then he'd get a 28 day ban & Lynn would be allowed a facility. So Lawson & Brennan are decent guests, r/r for Tarasenko means everyone gets an extra ride, that doesn't weaken them at all, so why call it off? *It doesn't occur to me that it may have been due to one particular weather forecast.
  18. Not the best 2 riders in the league. But certainly Oxford have the strongest top 2.
  19. Smith seems the obvious pick to me. Won a heat for Scunthorpe, just make sure you don't use him at Plymouth.
  20. 22nd May is the earliest Boughen & Killeen would get new figures.
  21. Instead of making a joke on Twitter would Stead / Sheffield promotion not be better off making an official complaint to the SCB?
  22. Looking at the May averages, Lynn will be 2.37 below the limit. Klindt could replace anyone in the team (except Rowe).
  23. Now normally I'd say it's far too early to be thinking of team chances. But for May Oxford will be 1.97 below the limit. They could drop Henry Atkins for a rider up to 6.25, but would need to make the change before Boughen & Killeen get new averages (no massive rush yet) but they've shown with Klindt, they're not afraid of making tough decisions. Or they could fit in Erik Riss for Jenkins? Oxford Sam Masters 9.05 Scott Nicholls 8.54 Erik Riss 7.68 Cameron Heeps 4.77 Henry Atkins 4.28 Ashton Boughen 2.00 Luke Killeen 2.00 Total 38.32
  24. Interesting times see that despite their poor start to the season, 6 of Redcar's team have upped their averages for May. I guess it shouldn't be a massive surprise, with the British reductions / low points limit, but can't say I expected it.
