  1. Not gonna be easy to tell a rider to refuse a payday though
  2. Similar thing happened last year, teams had very quiet May &.June, then filled August with fixtures, so begining of September was used for re-arranged meetings rather than play-offs. Although this year, there are less play-offs matches (6) compared to last year (14) so shouldn't be such a rush for dates for end of season competitions. Although last year the BSN series was finished earlier, this year, that needs to be slotted in along with KOC & play-offs.
  3. Musielak told Lynn he was sitting out the rest of the season in GB due to his injuries. So while Lynn are looking for a replacement, why would it matter when he's replaced in the 1-7, he said he wasn't coming back. Why would Lynn be expected to release him early enough to find another club (Ipswich) when he said he doesn't want to race over here?
  4. But why wouldn't Oxford want that to happen? Is it worth making yourself weaker to stop Belle Vue being stronger? Is Killeen really that much better than Ablitt, Harrison, Mulford or Joe T?
  5. I think that's because no-one things the change strengthens the team, so fans can either believe Schroeck is an absolute idiot or Oxford are struggling with money. I guess people refuse to believe a team manager could be THAT bad with his team selections that saving money seems a more reasonable explanation of the changes they've made?
  6. I think your first 3 words explain it perfectly.
  7. That can't be a rule as Oxford make team changes attempting to do this lol! As long as they put out the strongest side available, that's all they can do.
  8. I think everyone can see the difference between Kurtz & Covatti / Musielak except you. Not worth arguing over, we'll never see eye to eye on this one.
  9. Most rules like that are subject to management committee approval, if a club in Lynn's position wanted to reintroduce MPT, there would be no reason not to let them. This wasn't a clever swapping round of rider due to averages.
  10. 1) how about Kemp as a guest against Oxford, I'm sure he'll have a point to prove? 2) how about Kemp as a replacement for Zischke?
  11. That doesn't really make sense to me, how does weakening yourselves to stop Belle Vue strengthening help Oxford against Sheffield or Ipswich if they make the play-offs? Plus Belle Vue have the options of Joe T, Mulford & both Scunny reserves for a RS.
  12. When they dropped Klindt for Kerr same question was asked, "are they going to use up the spare points", they didn't. So don't see a second change to bring in a big hitter coming.
  13. I think it's very hard on Kemp, he's a Prem reserve who was expected to ride at number 2. Now it'll be hard on Killeen who's not had a shot as a RS, but expected to be a number 6. If they really felt Kemp wasn't working out, what about Heeps who's been having a much better season for the Cheetahs.
  14. Comment by Schroeck "our one to five is a match against anyone in this league" can't say I agree with that, but if he believes it's true why not supplement with a strong reserve pairing?
  15. Every change Oxford have made has weakened them imo. Now they've just lost their (supposedly) strong reserve. They either don't want to make the play-offs or have given up for the season & planning for next year with new reserves? I cannot see how these changes can be considered strengthening the team at all.
  16. Having seen the weather forecast for Plymouth, they've made 100% the right decision to call it off. Heavy rain most of they day. Then still rain due during the match.
  17. I guess Redcar could've expected more from Mulford. Good heat 2, but followed with 4 last places.
  18. I suggested Pearson for Garrad in heat 12, then Garrad for Ivacic in heat 14. I wouldn't have given Ivacic a 4th ride.
  19. Tbh it would really help both clubs if fans went to watch the "other" team when their team wasn't racing at home.
  20. Odd team managing by the Comets imo, giving Vuolas the r/r in heat 5 against a pairing he'd just lost a 5-1 too.
  21. Apparently Leibmann was in London around lunchtime and was due fly up at 13.15 but flight was cancelled. Could she not have got a train up?
  22. If that's really him, he needs a fine for that "bringing the sport into disrepute". Not right to tell fans not to spend their money. Why not encourage fans to go along & enjoy a good match, could still be some good racing between Cook & the top Monarchs, also when the Academy lads meet each other.
