  1. As many have pointed out Nielsen won't be at reserve for Poole, finding it tough to place then with 3 places still to fill! Thompson twins have lower NL aves than Gilkes, Palin, Lawlor & possibly Jenkins so Leicester could struggle for points there, but have a VERY strong top 5! Glasgow do have the best rider in the league imo! Tough to know what to expect from Brennan as while he scored lots of points last year, they were from the "easier" number 7 position! As with Leicester, Redcar very weak at reserve, with a good top 5 & fantastic top 3! Can't disagree with any of your comments on Somerset, but would have them placed lower down the table! Newcastle could very well have best reserves in the league, agree with you there! Edinburgh look good at heat leader & reserve level but their two new second strings are the big question marks! Think Scunthorpe look far from boring & could well challenge at the top of the league! I don't think Covatti will struggle as second HL but Kent surely doesn't suit his style, but if Covatti is at 5 Heeps won't be & should improve his average! Look weak at reserve, but Gilkes is promising! Berwick don't look strong at HL, SS or reserve so expect a season of struggle for them too! Although that being said look a good home side!
  2. That's an optimistic opinion of Berwick in my view!
  3. Interesting as I think Scunthorpe look very strong!
  4. Why shouldn't he be allowed to make prediction based on completed teams, there's absolutely no harm in that! Personally I enjoyed reading his predictions!
  5. Surprised there was any doubt, I thought it was clear Broc would be on a 4.00 ave? Had it been 6.00 I wouldn't have gone near him!
  6. If Kerr is at reserve, who will me missing Cook or Riss?
  7. Interestingly Stevie Worrall said after signing for Poole that it would feel strange being at number 3 as he considers himself a number one rider, but Vissing was almost a point higher last year so should be able to handle the number one spot! Won't be the strongest in the league but keeping his average would be a good season I reckon!
  8. A team like Poole would have dropped Brennan, have a good season & improve then lose your team spot!
  9. If the 2020 National League is going to be more of a "junior development" league, please use the EL "fast track" format putting riders of similar ability more often should bring them on quicker!
  10. Always best to build from the top, miss out on a 4.00 reserve it's easy to find a 3.00 replacement, but miss out on a 9.00 number one & it's not easy to find a suitable alternative!
  11. How about? King's Lynn 1. Robert Lambert 7.61 2. Lewis Kerr 5.43 3. Erik Riss 6.61 4. Thomas Jorgensen 5.90 5. Craig Cook 7.59 6. Aaron Summers 4.87 7. Ty Proctor 4.43 Total 42.44
  12. Finished top of the league (but didn't win it) not long ago!
  13. Tbh protecting heat 8 is stupid, a strong number 7 like Greaves or Mountain gets a protected heat, while a weaker reserve like Lawlor or Woolley gets a heat against Morris & Covatti (Somerset) - imo the heat is only worth protecting if weakest rider has to be number 7!
  14. Call me "picky" but it's not the Championship League (CL) it's the Championship!
  15. Maybe 3rd strongest after Castagna & Lambert!
  16. I'd like to see Ben Morley get a Champ spot, on a 3.71 ave could be a decent reserve!
  17. Not true Ayers could have fitted in place of any rider!
  18. How about this team? Peterborough 1. Niels K Iversen 7.54 2. Chris Harris 6.01 3. Michael P Toft 6.30 4. Mikkel B Jensen 6.26 5. Rohan Tungate 6.59 6. Scott Nicholls 5.50 7. Ulrich Ostergaard 4.00 Total 42.20
  19. Brummies look to have a decent team this year, especially as you'll always have one strong reserve! Expect you to be in the top 6!
  20. Until it's official, all I can do I look for available riders!
  21. How about this team? 1. Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 2. Scott Nicholls 5.50 3. Rohan Tungate 6.59 4. Chris Harris 6.01 6. Niels K Iversen 7.54 6. Richie Worrall 5.09 7. Ulrich Ostergaard 4.00 Total 42.48
  22. But is Kurtz more likely than Auty to beat reserves away from home though?
