  1. As long as they don't average above 6.50 / 5.50!
  2. Not exactly true, Mildenhall & Eastbourne have had quality teams full of young developing riders!
  3. If that's the rule, could in theory happen!
  4. Bacon has had 2 seasons at Peterborough (17&18) & one at Redcar (19) how does he qualify?
  5. Best option I can see to replace Allen is Rene Bach, best "realistic" option maybe Connor Mountain?
  6. Sorry but that seems kinda childish, pulling out of the league & putting 6 riders out of a job just because you may struggle in the league!
  7. Not only is the 5.50 / 6.50 an odd choice of cut-off it also means a 6.49 & 3.51 Championship rider are the same grade 4!
  8. I'm surprised Peterborough went for Palin, while he's very promising must be one of the weakest "rising stars" and if he has a sensational season he'll be at Belle Vue next year!
  9. While Josh Bates qualifies as a "rising star" it's believable the restrictions put in place were designed to allow him entry! 1) 24 as of the 1st January of the current year (Bates turned 25 in February) 2) have an average under a Premiership League CMA of 5.50 (Bates is 5.07), or under a Championship League CMA of 6.50 (Bates is 6.19). Now if these regulations stay in place for 2022, I'll trust all is above board, however if the "rising star" requirements change It'll be very suspicious!
  10. How many leagues does Kenneth Bjerre race in? Could he be an option for Lynn?
  11. I've always hated that rule, riders without a club being allowed to guest is far more ideal than riding against your teams rivals, but not being allowed makes no sense to me!
  12. Rising doesn't mean young it means improving right? You could argue Jason Doyle was a rising star in Speedway from 2014-2018!
  13. Doesn't make a difference this season but may for future years, Jordan Jenkins is 2* rather than 1* because he rode a whole TWO matches for Birmingham in 2019! So in the future if a 1* rider gets injured / loses form near the end of the season it could be tough to sign a replacement, cause who would be willing to race a handful of matches at the end of the season if it means they'd be graded 2* the following year?
  14. That would be far to simple to understand for it to be implemented lol! However I worry using that system grade 2 riders would struggle for team spots as 3+1 would be far the better option (a 2.90 rider with a promising newcomer vs 2 riders who couldn't reach a 2.00 ave)! So weaker riders could get one year then tossed on the scrapheap each season!
  15. Bacon has improved every year & never had a Prem team spot, he's clearly the sort of rider you want in the system, you could argue against Bates or Shanes I guess!
  16. I can't remember reading anything official stating that the "rising star" will remain at reserve all year, is this the case?
  17. How about? 1Brady Kurtz 7.54 2 Charles Wright 6.51 3 Dan Bewley 6.15 4 Steve Worrall 5.53 5 Edward Kennett 5.39 6 Jye Etheridge 4.35 7 Rising Star 4.** Total 35.46 (+4)
  18. If British Speedway is struggling for riders they should allow everyone to double up, would entice more riders over here perhaps?
  19. Well he was apparently ready for the Speedway of Nations so the Championship should be a walk in the park lol!
  20. Looking at all the names mentioned here, this is the best team I can come up with! Plymouth 1 Bjarne Pedersen 11.06? 2 Hans Andersen 9.26? 3 Niklas Porsing 6.19? 4 Zdenek Simota 5.09 5 Nick Agertoft 4.00 6 Alfie Bowtell 3.02 7 Henry Atkins 2.** Total 38.62 + 2
  21. Last year in Sweden all 8 teams qualified for the play-offs!
