  1. That's not someone being nasty, as MPT has the lowest ave of the 6 numbers ones & 4 of the number twos, that's a fair assessment pre-season!
  2. If that's the reason for Wethers being at number 2, Newcastle certainly wouldn't admit it!
  3. With 2 opposition reserves weaker than any other Championship reserve, Diamonds will hope Congreve can score well.
  4. PJL will only consist of 2 x home matches, or possibly 3 if making the final.
  5. The rule change they voted against, would've meant British Speedway not being considered a "professional league" this would've meant no restrictions if riders want to race in Poland, Sweden & Britain. But also would've meant any time Poland had a re-arranged fixture on a Monday or Thursday, they'd get priority over riders, meaning even more guests needed to be used!
  6. Edinburgh won the league in 2015 with Clegg & Branford at reserve all year. While string reserves are an advantage, teams can win without them. Although I do think Leicester's reserves are decent enough.
  7. They only have 6 riders, basing predictions on current line-ups.
  8. When you consider Belle Vue let Steve Worrall (5.94/9.05) & Richie Worrall (5.37/7.93) go, but end up with Jye Etheridge (5.22/5.35) it's awful team planning. Especially when you look at their Championship averages!
  9. Poole Glasgow Leicester Oxford Redcar Berwick Edinburgh Scunthorpe Newcastle Birmingham Plymouth
  10. Personally I think it was risky, waiting to see if the rules changed, however once he decided to do that, surely you'd have a back up plan to still be competitive?
  11. I've read plenty on the forum about Kennett not riding but nothing from Plymouth!
  12. It's fun to look back & see where people placed Peterborough now!
  13. They certainly do matter, 1&5 have the hardest rides, 7 has the easiest. A rider is likely to say what Summers says to build his confidence, no-one wants to think, "this'll be hard & I'll struggle to score". Could say number 7 has one hard ride & number 6 has 3 hard rides.
  14. My suggested riding order: 1. Michael P Toft 2. Scott Nicholls 3. Ulrich Ostergaard 4. Hans Andersen 5. Chris Harris 6. Ben Basso 7. Jordan Palin
  15. I'd say my suggestion of giving him the easier number 7 spot, is giving him a chance.
  16. What riding order to go with? 1. Troy Batchelor 2. Jack Thomas 3. Kyle Newman 4. Cameron Heeps 5. Scott Nicholls 6. Dillon Ruml 7. Josh MacDonald
  17. As Newcastle look the weakest of the completed teams, they'll need all their riders to do well to win. I'd certainly put the stronger reserve (Complin) at 6 to beat opposition second strings & the weaker reserve (Congreave) at 7 to beat opposition reserves. Putting Complin at 7 should get him a few more points, but almost guarantees Congreave won't score after heat 2 & I don't think Newcastle are string enough to win with just 6 riders.
  18. 1. Bradley W-Dean 2. James Wright 3. Paul Starke 4. Max Clegg 5. Matthew Wethers 6. Lee Complin 7. George Congreve
  19. Seems a stupid idea to me. There's no need for it, what was wrong with a draw? Also as has been seen in the SON. Someone falls on the first lap or touches the tapes etc & you get the boring situation of a virtually pointless re-run where only one team can win with the 4,3,2,0 scoring system being used. Also cannot understand why they'd introduce a rule change like this & not announce it?
  20. If he rides for Holsted, Birmingham can say Vissing is witholding his services & get a strong guest, no issues there!
  21. I know nothing of this "super heat" when was this announced?
  22. I believe Oxford's NL rider Luke Killeen has joined them on loan from Wolverhampton?
